Before: Remember when Charisma was the best pound for pound fighter on the planet? Neither does anyone else. Mired in the worst slump of her, or anyone’s career, carpenter looks to get on track against the exciting, but vulnerable Dunning who also hasn’t had a good win in a while. Dunning in purple aerobics two piece, Charisma in black sports bra, red adidas terrycloth trunks--both girls with messy ponytails.

During R1: Debbe out with lanky, wide lefts and rights heavy to the body, and Charisma folds like a cheap deck chair to the ropes, Charisma famous for her lanky body punching, beaten at her own game as Debbe works her over bell to bell, ponderously sweeping at ribs and tummy, using shoulders and palms to keep Charisma seated pretty on the ropes.

R2: Dunning striding out strong, steps into wiiiide right hand to the side, cringing Charisma up, and once again Dunning’s whipping body shots have Charisma crumpling to the ropes. Dunning swinging freely, gets careless and midway through the round, Carpenter punches in between Dunning’s strokes to land a sweet short left hook on the chin to sit Double D down, Dunning up at 8, but Charisma able to cinch up under the arms and hoist D to the ropes for payback. Similar whipping shots with those slender arms generating popping power to the body as Charisma puts hurt on Debbe to the bell.

R3: Mid ring action sees the girl set their feet and loop dangerous swings at one another, and Dunning gets the better of the swaying, flailing free for all. Constantly nailing Charisma on the cheek with overhand rights, Dunning finally starts to shut CC down as Carpenter goes groggy. Dunning bodying Carpenter to the ropes in the final minute, pushes at CC’s shoulders and neck to prop her up for clouting right hands across the mouth,. Carpenter swooning at the bell as Dunning nods her approval.

R4: Hammer and tongs again mid ring as Charisma shows none of the boxing smarts, or good legs she did earlier in her career, toe to toe at punching power range, Dunning slowly punches the fight out of Carpenter in bitter exchanges that see both women staggered by looping blows flush on the jaw line. By the midway point, Carpenter begins falling in to clinch, but Dunning won’t have it, punching her way past Charisma’s arms and walking the tired beauty into damage. Carpenter stumbling forward, gets her head snapped back by a bolo right uppercut inside, and Charisma stumbles past as Dunning cuffs her a wild right on the back of the head. Carpenter face forward into the ropes, and Dunning nails her a running right hand on the cheek from behind just as Charisma is turning around. CC dropped like she just took a sniper’s bullet, flops to her back out cold as Dunning steps across the broken body with a happy smile. KO4 Debbe Dunning.

After: Another crushing, humiliating loss for the once formidable Carpenter has pundits and well wishers hollering for her retirement, Theories abound, but a prevalent one is Carpenter is coming I too light to these fights, looking drawn and weaker than she should against girls she once dominated. Dunning at her crazy-wild best calls for Theron as Charlize quickly becomes Celebrity Enemy Number One.
