UNIFIED LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE

Before: Fight for the Lightweight title and probable distinction at the best brunette in boxing. Larue the quicker, more agile girl, but Cat has beaten mobile opponents in the past with judgment and timing--bettors having a hard time making up their minds. Finally, cordial press conferences in the weeks leading up until Eva mentions Cat’s success as being an accident of circumstance,  “If I hadn’t been held back all those years--we probably would never have seen Cat develop. She had this little window and she used it perfectly, but now that I’m hear--she’s going back to the pack.” Catherine genuinely hurt by the sudden change in tone. Cat's plan? “Hurt her. Without those legs, Eva’s just another fighter. We’ll see who drops back.” Cat in electric blue bikini, Eva in red bikini, gold belly chain--noses an inch away during the stare down.

R1: Cat Bell enrolls Eva Larue in Ring Generalship 101 thisw round. Bell with the high guard, hands out front, jerks that Oscar jab from the extended left--repeatedly spanking Eva’s shiny forehead and keeping the champ in her heels outside. Bell cutting off the ring, can step in off her jab, hook to the body, chop down with the right hand--she’s slicing Eva up with the textbook. Shutout Cat bell--Eva not hurt, bit slightly awed at having been boxed out like that.

R2: Cat out with cold-eyed determination--more hard jabs to the forehead, setting up jagged hooks on the chin, and in the first minute, she NAILS Eva a biting left that has the champ stutter stepping, looking to clinch,. Bell hunting her girl down as Eva runs, but midway through--Larue stops changes direction and walks Bell into a crashing counter right ion the teeth--CAT IS HURT! Eva takes over, raking hooks across the plump breasts, slicing back with chopping right hands on the face, using her legs to rock in and out as her hands take Cat apart, Round to Larue as she gobbles up Bell’s power and puts wobble in the challenger’s bikini bottoms at the bell.

R3: Eva enrolls Cat in “Stick and Move 101” this round. Bell attempting to cut off the ring, but Larue’s sliding, bouncing dance too evasive. Larue nibbling at Cat’s guard and face with pesky jabs, stopping occasionally to bite down on slashing rights, or leading with the right and pivoting around Bell’s left shoulder before Cat can get off. Bell can touch Larue with the jab, but she’s unable to get traction this round.

R4: Eva starts to roll up the challenger this round. Larue’s legs winning this fight--she darts in and out, then dances around to open up canvas as Bell chases, guard high. Larue starting to target the breasts with lead right hands, jumping in to spank jug, then twisting into a clapping hook on the eye before sliding back out. it’s adding up--midway through, Larue launches a spectacular series of straight lefts and rights in between Bell’s gloves, driving he challenger backward, then spearing the right hand between the eyes to drape bell stunned against the ropes, Eva tormenting her girl in the final minute, backhanding the jab as she fights off either shoulder, polishing up the midriff, stroking the jaw with firm right hands.

R5: Bell looking a little roughed up, but still game. She comes forward, has success in spots--but Eva is dictating the temp, initiating the action, Larue so much looser, showing a great variety of punches and looks. She’ll lick a left uppercut across Bell’s lips, then pivot to the left, dipping in close and jamming her right hand into Cat’s cheek  before the brunette can get square, Little tapping combination set up stinging hooks or right hands. Constant breast beating has bell’s eyes tearing throughout--Eva’s having fun in there.

R6: Eva drops her hands and goes totally defensive in the first minute, Cat walking her down and touching her with the jab. Midway through, Eva showboating with supple upper body movement, stands in front of Cat, bends left under Bell’s right hand, then twists into a left uppercut under the under the chin that has Cat stepping wrong. Beautiful pinpoint power punching from Eva really has bell falling apart--rest of the way sees Eva punch-buggy Cat’s unprotected breasts, working from there to slap Bell to the ropes with swiping lefts and rights across the face.

R7: Larue spends a minute countering Cat to death, sipping to one side, making Cat miss, then lifting a right or left uppercut up into the jugs--heartless attack has Bell braking down and from the second minute on--Larue goes for the KO. Eva goes to another level--stepping over to the right, leaning into heartbreaking right crosses through the jaw that lift Cat’s lead leg off the canvas, Vicious double hooks across the teeth--Bell just staring helplessly as Eva Larue’s fists find the mark again and again and again. At the bell, Cat’s busted up over both eyes, staggering badly as Eva goes chest to chest to let bell feel the weight.

R8: Cat Bell shows she’s no punk--coming back from one of the worst rounds of her career to shut a surprised Eva Larue out this round. Bell making an adjustment--she’s gotten outboxed to the point, so she jabs her way in and fights off Eva’s chest this round. Sapping left hooks to the liver, clipping little lefts and rights upside the head--Larue getting buffeted and she can’t disengage as Bell rides an arm loose around the waist ior neck--it’s a good smothering beat down inside.

R9: Shutout Cat Bell! Cat grimly focused on getting her head on her opponent’s chest or shoulder, and once there--Eva Can’t shake her, Finally--Larue’s legs start to tremble as Cat hollows out the stomach with curling, snapping lefts and rights, Larue stooping forward gives away too much of her torso--bell able to lick punches up into the flat surface and just bounce her punches off the muscle and bone in 3-punch bursts. Eva wobbly butt--eyes glazed at the bell--Cat’s clawing her way back into this fight.

R10: Bell with sticking jabs between the eyes forces Larue into her own corner, then climbs aboard for another bell to bell rub down. Cat wrestling Larue’s arms out of the way, forehead on Eva’s collarbone, rapping right hands, left hooks off the throbbing ribcage as Larue cries out behind her bit. Eva just looks helpless--she tries to tie up, Cat fights through it--she tries to punch back, Cat beats her down. Missing from Cat’s attack is the big bomb--everything’s solid, but nothing really stuns Eva--Larue goes the distance, and it’s an anxious wait for the verdict, Decision comes back for the winner and STILL champ--Eva Larue!

After: Cat with taped fists on her hips, shakes her head in disappointment as her late charge goes for naught. Eva overcoming a sluggish start boxed brilliantly to take a huge lead into the stretch drive, but Bell’s heroic finish made things interesting. Larue shutout 3 straight rounds for the first time in her career, insists in post fight that she was carrying Bell. “I had the fight won, but the girl can punch, so I just coasted for the decision.” Cat soaked up tremendous punishment in the 6th, taking a lot of Larue’s heart in the process--grinding comeback on the inside just coming too late to turn the tide.
