Charlize Theron vs. Lynda Carter by simguy 21-Feb-99

Theron hand picks Carter after bruising affair with Campbell for well deserved patsy bout. Carter no soft touch however, shows up at the weigh in terrific shape and looks every bit Charlize's equal physically. "I've studied every fight of Charlize on tape," Carter states during pre-fight, "I know what it takes to beat her. She has a terrific chin, but Zeta-Jones and Lopez showed how to beat Charlize to the body. We're going to smother her, pound her body and make her quit."

Lynda in black jogbra, red, high cut aerobics bottom; similar white top with teal bottom for Charlize. Carter wears her hair slicked back in a tight braid, loose tousle for Charlize.

Round 1: Both women out warily, right hands cocked at their chins, lefts out front. Both begin by STUFFING LEFT JABS TO THE BRA and mouth of the other and after a minute of jabbing and hooking in a circle, Theron throws the first right hand, banging Lynda's head straight back and almost off her shoulders. Carter reels, completely disoriented, and Theron steps in with a nice curving right overhand to the, left to the pit of the stomach and right to the cheek DROPS LYNDA TO ALL FOURS. Carter responds like a champion, finally working her way inside. Fighting off Theron's chest, Carter bangs away downstairs, leaning forward and keeping her arms almost straight as she BATS AT THE BLONDES TOP then uppercuts and Theron goes wonky. CHARLIZE TAKES A KNEE, breathless. She recovers to finish the round trading on the inside with Carter. Theron takes the round, but is clearly hurting at the bell and does not recover fully for the second.

Round 2: Carter jabs her way with that hard, ramming left, and again works Theron's body with STRAIGHT PUNCHES TO THE BREASTS, belly, hips and waist. Charlize neutralized to a certain extent, rediscovers her uppercut late to push Carter back at the bell.

Round 3: Charlize reestablishes her form, stepping confidently around Carter, hooking off the jab and keeping Lynda outside. Carter's face begins to mark up - Theron's remarkably pristine considering her recent wars.

Round 4: Charlize out boxing Lynda, but Carter's body attack still the hardest punches of the round. Lynda can't get inside this round, but she scores with a lancing right to the chest that leaves Theron grimacing in pain.

Round 5: Big Lynda Carter round! She goes right back to that RIGHT TO THE CHEST as she walks Theron back to the ropes. All Carter this round as she gets underneath Theron, pushes her back against the ropes and bangs hard lefts and rights into her tits. Theron useless inside, hands on Carter's shoulders or holding her by the back of the neck as Lynda stays busy JUG MUGGING WITH BOTH FISTS. Theron shaky at the bell, again can't suck it up during the break.

Round 6: Charlize utilizes her sharp jab to open a small cut over Lynda's left eye, but can't seem to hurt the big brunette. Carter kept at bay this round, but still lands hard single rights to the body.

Round 7: Lynda puts together her best round on a clearly shopworn Charlize. Lynda hammers away mid ring with both fists downstairs, then walks Theron to the ropes for three minutes of clubbing abuse. Charlize has her hands at her head, leaning forward as Lynda leans in. Head to head, Lynda bangs a well leveraged LEFT HOOK UNDER THERON'S BRA that has the big blonde gasping and wobbly-butt early. Carter dominant, really beats the fight out of Charlize this round, who wears a distant, hooded look at the bell.

Round 8: Carter coming on as Theron goes into full retreat. Lynda pot-shotting with short lefts and rights at Charlize's face, then DIGS THAT BODY AGAIN! Relentless pressure has Charlize hanging on, hurting.

Round 9: Charlize pulls out all the stops and shuts Lynda out this round. Theron out boxes Lynda easily, but the power has been drained from the blonde's attack by Carter's body punches. Lynda on the ropes, bends at the waist and avoids real damage in Charlize's last gasp attack.

Round 10: Theron staggering at the opening bell, quickly fades back to her corner as Carter advances behind that spearing right to the ribs. Charlize covers up as the girls grind foreheads once again. Carter unleashing her hardest punches of the fight against the battered and bruised torso of the blonde. Theron buckles and slumps forward, exposing her liver, and Carter works Charlize over from a straightened posture. Theron in desperate trouble now, bent over her legs as Carter lashes her back with illegal, clubbing blows that spank hard against the kidneys. A double digging left to the liver and Theron collapses, face contorted in agony as she rolls to her back, legs bent up in the air. Stunning upset as Lynda Carter drops Theron with a KO10!

Carter shocks the world with this merciless beating of Theron. CHARLIZE EXPOSED: THE BODY ASSAULT WAS DEFINITELY MORE EFFECTIVE IN BREAKING HER DOWN and knocking her out than the blows to the head she'd been taking in previous fights. Carter's win puts a cap on Charlize' recent impressive string of wins, but does little to upset the blonde's momentum. "Hell," one HBO exec said after the fight, "Charlize is still the most exciting celeb fighter we've got. One loss isn't going to kill her."
