Thanks to FightFan for this repost.

(Is it just me, or is all this Theron baiting a kick? I love Charlize as much as the next red blooded boxing fan -but real boxing would never tolerate such one sided adulation of a high profile star. The 'con' position is great, as is the 'pro1 outraged response.)

Before: Irony not lost on Harmon as long awaited rematch finally materializes. Both girls broke into the sport at about the same time, quickly got paired as a classic brunette/blonde bout, and neither has been the same since. Promoters and Agents flocked to Theron when she beat Angie the first time, paving the way to Charlize' meteoric rise - while Harmon was left fighting dinner theatre bouts waiting for another chance in what has to be one of the most tragic cases of mis-management since Gena Gershon. Harmon in red jockey cotton 2 piece, Theron in black.

During R1-3: Not hard to see that Charlize has improved immensely since her first meeting with Harmon. Theron wins almost every minute of the first three rounds with patient boxing at a distance. Harmon with her chugging, straight ahead style, runs into Theron's pounding jab up the middle, and is steered around the ring as Charlize potshots with crushing straight rights to the chin and chest. Theron circling left, drills the left hand to open each and every round, then takes advantage as Harmon's form falls apart under pressure.

R4: Theron going to Harmon's slender midsection with spearing right hands, crumples the brunette to the ropes with banging blows off Angie's bony sternum. Harmon cringing, covering up, can only watch as Charlize coolly goes to work with banging lefts and rights to her flanks, softening up the athletic Texan for clubbing rights on the chin. All shove and slug for Charlize as she roasts Harmon with the left to the tummy, pushes her forearm against Harmon's shoulder, and comes over the top with slashing right hands to the bell. Harmon, wobbly, teary eyed as she stumbles back to her corner.

R5: Angie's trademark is positive attitude, and she slugs her way back into the fight with a bewildering array of slapping left jabs and hooks, pushing straight rights, but a serious looping right uppercut which bashes Theron's blonde head back with a jolt. Midway through the round, with Angie swatting harmlessly to set up the big uppercut, Theron goes wobbly butt, squaring up and putting her face in her gloves as Angie wales on her arms and hips with wide lefts and rights. Theron protecting the chin, lets her sturdy body take a beating to the bell.

R6: Charlize starts with keen one-twos to Angie's cotton top, thudding her right hand in hard over Harmon's heart. Angie won't back down, and her wide left hook, straight right hand start to mark Theron's face up at the midway point. But a classic counter punch from Theron turns the bout around as she rocks back from an Angie left, then leans into a crushing right to beat Harmon to the punch. Angie soaks up the chin music, but her legs are switched off, and she stumbles groggily forward into Theron's waiting fists. Charlize stepping back in good order - smacks at Harmon's ribs with the left, cracks the brunette's chin with the right uppercut, and sidesteps as Angie crashes past her to stumble face first, on her knees, into the ropes. Harmon glassy eyed, staring out into the crowd, is counted out on her knees as she can't respond - KO6 Charlize Theron.

After: If Harmon wanted to blame Charlize for ruining her boxing career - it wouldn't all be sour grapes. Another demonstrative pummeling by Theron makes Harmon look like preliminary bout meat, and Charlize is peculiarly cold to her opponent afterwards. It's nothing personal, but Theron knows Angle's losses have been her gains - big time, and there's no way to put a happy face on it.
