Before: Diaz running high, lives up to her promise to be a fighting champ, giving a rare title shot to Nolin, who often gets locked out of the title picture. Gena’s wild brawling potentially a good antidote for Cameron’s slick boxing, but then Diaz has cured any and all comers on this come-back run. Diaz in pale green string bikini, Gena in yellow athletic bikin, black mesh to a high neck, slick ponytail.

During R1: Cameron showing her Ali bounce, lounging outside with hands low, flicking out the jab, Nolin all business, cutting off the ring. Right hand cocked at her chest, left hand low, reaching for the opponent. Very little action in the first minute as Diaz dances, giving Gena fits with direction changes, but offering little in the way of firepower. Midway through the round, Nolin lunges in, surprising Diaz who leans back and gets clocked a right roundhouse ion the side of the jaw. Cameron swept to the canvas, is wide-eyed, open-mouthed, and barely beats the count with tons of time left. Nolin pouncing, greedily heaving in right hands, pushing off with the left. Diaz dazed on the ropes, getting hit, pushing her hands out in a pathetic attempt to stop the rain as Nolin slugs away. A hard sidearm right hand pouts Diaz funny against the ropes, with her arm through the strands, and Nolin pours it ion, pounding looping right hands over and over into Cameron’s shocked face AND IT’S OVER!! Cameron Diaz stunned in her first defense is stopped as the ref jumps in.

After: Gena Lee Nolin can’t believe the triumph as she leaps around the ring. Diaz shaken, sits on her stool as doctors flash penlights at her yes. Hard to analyze what could have happened other than Nolin took advantage when she had her girl hurt and made no mistake on the finish. Sets up a great return bout with Charlize Theron for all the marbles.
