Before: Hurley going to Paris to reclaim her honor after being battered by Marceau in their last encounter. Sophie catching criticism for not fighting in the States, but there’s no denying her popularity on the continent and Hurley doesn’t like being upstaged in her own backyard., Liz in black push up and panties, Sophie in black push up, red aerobics bottoms.

During R1: Crafty southpaws usually content to counter, but Liz comes out hurling thunder, and has Sophie soaking up wide left hands on the mouth early and often., Sophie badly hurt in the final minute collapses to the ropes and Liz pours it on, bringing her fists up from down low in whipping Michael Nunn-type sweeps to leave Marceau shattered at the bell.

R2: Sophie recovering nicely maintains her composure as Liz continues to lead. Sophie much more composed this round, right hand at her side. Left hand at her chin as she turns her shoulder, ducks to the left to make Liz miss, and counters effectively with torquing left hand counters. Hurley hurt at the bell, as the girls exchange burning glares en-route to their corners.

R3,4,5:  Chess match breaks out as the girls settle down and start to really box. Slick defense dominates as punches glance off perfectly positioned shoulders or slice through air as the girls stand in front of each other and make one another miss. Hurley getting the nod in the 3rd and 4th, for coming forward, Sophe takes the 5th in very tough score, very close rounds.

R6,7,8: Liz starts to take over, looking like the better conditioned celeb as Sophie starts to spend more time with her back to the ropes, looking for slick counter uppercuts ior right hooks. Liz stepping in and out, stuffing the right jab to Sophie’s belly, and twisting into that wide, whipping left hand upside the head that begins to catch Marceau flush in these rounds. Hurley’s legs fresher as Sophie looks like she doesn’t have the ability to keep the sinuous twisting and turning necessary to keep Hurley missing. Liz putting punches together, intentionally raises welts around Sophie’s beautiful eyes with accurate punching inside.

R9: Sophie luring Liz forward, manages to bang Hurley coming in with the delayed right hook, all shoulder, and has Liz a little shaken up this round. Late in the round, Marceau slaps the right hook to Liz’s cheek, holds it there, and whips in the payoff left hook to smash Hurley’s face to the side at the bell.

R10: Sophie continues to fight well back up, picking Liz up with clever right hooks, bobbing left and coming back with wide left hands out of the crouch to put Hurley on her heels. Liz catching flush down the stretch, and Sophie outs Hurley ropeside for a sustained jug mugging. All Marceau as she lifts short right and left uppercuts to Hurley’s bosum, leaving Liz hurting at the bell. Decision comes back a shocker for the Parisian elite in attendance: Unanimous Duke Liz Hurley who prances in triumph at the announcement while Sophie stands stunned at the loss.

After: Liz takes back Euro bragging rights to England as Sophie gets a dose of her own medicine. Marceau rarely outboxed, but this time Liz had all the answers, minimizing the French woman’s power advantage with supple grace and defensive sorcery. Marceau savaged by the French press, who are famous for eating their own when disappointed.
