Before: Jessica bubbling over with excitement - she's right where she always envisioned she'd be. "I'm a breath of fresh air for boxing," proclaims the young champ. "I'm what people want to see. I've given the Daniels and the O'Dells their beatings, now I'm moving up to the Ryans, the Bells and pretty soon, it's going to be all Jessica Biel baby!" Ryan calm throughout, elbow on the desk, chin in her hand as she wearily takes it in. "If I had a dime for every time some kid was going to kick my butt and become the 'future of boxing'...well, I wouldn't be as rich as I am now, but I'd be pretty rich. Biel's a punk, just like the rest of them. I'm putting her down, taking her belt and sending her to her room without dinner." Jeri in red bikini, Jessica in pink tube top, bikini bottoms, slick ponytail.

During R1: Biel's been watching tape - she's stepping out on Ryan, circling, making the blonde reach with the jab - midway through, Jessica cashes in. Quick pull counter, right hand slashing over Jeri's jab - poor Ryan's stepping in fence post holes. Jess with a lightning follow up - clawing left across the breasts, slicing right on the chin - head swivel Jeri and RYAN'S DOWN! Jeri put to her right hip, shaking her head in shock - Jessica prancing to the neutral corner, pumping her fist and nodding in triumph. Biel tidying up after 8 - mauling Jeri's waist at the ropes with snatching, quick lefts and rights, stepping in and out to change distance, occasionally pulling the right hand over top in a tight curl as Ryan covers up snug. Big 10-8 round Biel - she's talking it up early as Jeri ignores the trash.

R2: Jeri shakes it off, advancing behind her jab, but Biel's lateral movement causing problems. Jessica controlling matters with her feet - she says when they fight, where they fight. Sporadic bursts of activity around the ring - Biel walking Ryan into right hands, cleaning up on her with clawing lefts and rights up and down the torso - Ryan keeping her dukes up, answering with hard right crosses, roping lefts as she leans in and out. Biel outworking, outhustling her foe in the exchanges - she yelps happily at the bell, continuing to taunt Jeri as Ryan stalks away.

R3,4,5: Ryan finally lands that short, deadly right hand across Biel's chin to open the third - Jess steps off a curb, staggers to regain her legs - tenor of the fight completely changes. Ryan showing her underated leg, dancing, circling, peppering Jessic with jabs, placing shivering rights to the ribs and jaw, but not hanging around for the receipt. Jessica looking hounded - she's being outboxed, obviously hadn't prepared for a mobile, cute Jeri in the ring tonight. Ryan able to feint right hands and buckle Jessica's legs as brunette hurries to cover up, makes it easy for the blonde to step away, keep her distance.

R6,7: Biel finally out of puncher mode - she's joining Jeri in the boxing match. Girls circling clockwise, darting and dabbing jabs at each other, threading in and out - real tactical stuff. Biel takes the 6th, Ryan the 7th in razor thin fashion - neither really putting her foot down through 7.

R8: Ryan setting down on her punches, becoming the puncher once again, gets Jessi's attention with a sizzling short right hand early. Ryan keeps the jab on Biel, drives in with the right, ducks, then straps back a heavy hook to ribs or across Biel's jugs. Jessica grimacing as Jeri rakes her for points - brunette late on the receipts, missing over the top as Jeri moves her head well while she's punching.

R9: Biel stomp-feinting, gets the timing of Ryan's jab and lands a pounding right on the jaw to swivel Jeri's head in the first minute. Ryan's backside all a-jiggle as she stumbles back a step - Jessica keeps it on her with good aggression. Biel with a nice slashing delivery - pitching punches almost sidearm, slashing at Ryan's body when she covers up high, pulling rights onto the jaw as Ryan backs up. Jessica's been potshotting at Jeri's breasts to this point, but now she digs in, palming Ryan upright at the ropes and really pounding away to jug, doubling up the hook, chopping down the right hand - snatching at rack with cold fury. Ryan finishes up hurt at the ropes, throbbing from Biel's switchblade punching - Jessica shouting spitefully as the ref pushes her back. All even after 9 - close fight.

R10: Biel: right hand on the chin, Jeri stomping backwards. Biel hopping forward, reloading, chopping the right again - Jeri rolls with it, back with the right uppercut - BIEL'S staggered, hands up, blundering forward. Ryan stepping right, looping the right hand, catching Jess behind the head, clouting her forward to the ropes. Ryan in on stunned, helpless brunette, Biel trying to turn around - Ryan extends the left to Jessica's left shoulder from behind, pinning her down and REAMING her right hands to the lower back. THERE GO JESSICA'S LEGS! Biel crumpling, arms draped over the top rope to hold her up - Jeri HEARTLESS as she closes, starts pounding lefts and rights to Jessica's aching back and side, chopping over the shoulder to bash Biel's cheek AND THE REF STEPS IN! Ryan pushed away, raising her gloves, cheeks flushed as she struts. TKO10 Jeri Ryan.

After: Biel thunderstruck - legs useless from the heinous kidney pounding as Ryan does veteran work to separate herself late. Sight of Jessica hanging on the ropes makes all the papers - Ryan pounding away on her like Louis on Schmeling in the second fight. "Good fight," Jeri says in postfight, wiping at a busted up lower lip, "Jessica's got a lot to offer. She'd have beaten a Krista Allen type girl tonight, but she's not hard enough to be stepping up to Jeri Ryan. Nice try kid." Biel coughs up her belt - Jeri on her way to unifying the lightweight title with 2 of 3 shards.
