BEFORE:
The Dollhouse’s Ginny Gardner is looking confident from her perch at the press table. She’s already met and beat Saoirse Ronan once before back in 2019, having KO’ed the Irish actress in seven rounds, and now, the two blondes are back for round two almost two years later.

"I beat Saoirse two and a half years ago and now she's asked me to go again. She's a big star so I kinda had to say yes or Carmen would have hated me forever. So here we are. I know Saoirse's been having tons of success lately, beating Watson and Mitchell...that's impressive. I guess I'm in for a tough fight tonight. That's cool. I welcome the challenge, and Imma whoop her ass again!"

Saoirse on the other hand may have recently lost to former Bantamweight champion Kaya Scodelario, but back-to-back wins over Emma Watson and Shay Mitchell make her a credible threat earlier this year. The Irish blonde purses her lips before responding into the mic:

“I wanted another shot at Ginny because I felt that I could have won two years ago if I hadn’t been so careless. The fact that we went a full seven rounds also shows that I gave her one hell of a fight. So I do want to thank her management for finally saying yes to a rematch,” Saoirse says, before continuing. “Ginny’s not had the best year so far, so I think I have a real shot of winning tonight.”

Regardless of outcome, Gardner holds all the tools and advantages in this contest, first coming in at least two inches taller than her Irish counterpart. The Doll is also the one who’s signed to an actual stable, with much more fight experience and activity from time spent in the ring. But who knows? Stranger things have happened, as Watson, Mitchell and Atwell found out the hard way most recently.

Fight night rolls around and Saoirse is the first to enter the Dollhouse arena, striding into view of the cameras in a hot pink sports bra and white boxing shorts, hair in a tight ponytail, brandishing white gloves into the air as rock music plays in the background. Ginny has gone for her usual baby blue sports bra, matching colored gloves, blonde hair in a bun and long grey tights, bouncing up and down, and shadow boxing on stage, before making her way down to the ring.

Referee calls this next match on the Doll Ball to order, and instructs both women to their corners to make ready for the bell. There’s the wave of the arm and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Saoirse begins the offensive with plenty of energy and sprite, roaring inwards to deny Ginny a second win twice-in-a-row. She starts off with punching combos to the arms, but Ginny is blocking and taking care of them fairly easily, the Doll moving backwards and about the ring like a seasoned veteran. Ginny must have anticipated her opponent’s enthusiasm because her legs are constantly in motion, using her firm guard to intercept those jab combos before paying Ronan back with the occasional shot to the face from a comfortable distance. But Ronan ain’t giving up the chase so easily, starts throwing even more punches towards her head, and soon enough, one or two manage to make it past Gardner’s defences, slamming into her face and sending her wincing backwards. Saoirse shows how tenacity and stubbornness might well get the job done, and she ends the round with even more variation of both highs and low attacks, which land clean on the tall girl’s body before the bell rings to stop the action for now.

ROUND 2:
Ginny adapts by moving in harder and faster than before, thereby disrupting Saoirse’s early rush with a crisp one-two combo sent into her face. Saoire is facing down a much more energetic and determined Doll, with Gardner’s lean and fast movements making it hard to pin her down, and even harder to wail upon. Saoirse tries to counter by doubling down in a single spot of the ring near the ropes, her arms locked high as she takes the abuse for the first minute, and barely fights back. Gardner looks like she’s about to take the round wide as she slams another right cross into the mouth, which knocks Ronan back a couple of paces. But then, Ronan rips an overhand right straight over her head, which lands with equal measure off Ginny’s cranium, before both blondes tear into each other with rapid swings before the bell rings and the referee has to cut in to interrupt the action. Ginny looks shaken as she turns back and heads to her corner, having taken some stiff shots to the face but also having delivered pain to Saoirse’s throbbing chin.

ROUND 3:
Saoirse doesn’t look as hurt, however, immediately wades in early to continue the punishment all over the Doll’s frame! Ginny’s having more trouble this time creating distance, her arms up but her body still taking one-two combos, as Saoirse shoots in her leather gloves over and over again, driving her back. Ronan wants this comeback win and it shows! She chases Gardner all the way to the ropes and then begins wailing on her covered head, another hook to the arms almost sending the Doll reeling off to the side. Gardner is of course doing her best to hit back when she can, crisp and accurate return combos stinging the Irish girl on her mouth and nose, but it’s not enough to stave off her assailant forever. Ronan ends the round with yet another ding! to the chin, making Ginny see stars as her head gets pinged upwards, but thankfully, she covers up in a flash, preventing a possible knockdown attempt here at the end of the third. Bell rings soon after, and Ronan takes it by a small margin, which gives her the overall lead, by our count.

ROUND 4:
It’s Ginny’s return to dominance as she comes in hot, hoping to steal the lead back with a sudden flurry to Ronan’s arms. Saoirse looks momentarily surprised when those flurries come sailing in and landing on her guard, the Irishwoman being pushed back after first storming out of her gate. Ginny’s showing a great combination of poise and power as she socks Ronan off her forehead with a jab before going low and lunging a hook to her ribs. Saoirse, however, returns the favour after taking half a round of abuse, landing a swipe across Ginny’s face in between her attacks, then another hook to the chest makes the Doll sputter and gag briefly. Still, Ginny’s corner must be telling her to go all-out and to better her performance from 2019 - the blonde keeps pressing in, pestering and hounding Saoirse to the arms, but at the expense of her own health. Bell sounds and Gardner might have taken this round overall, but at what cost? She’s breathing hard but still sporting a smile on her way back to her corner.

ROUND 5:
Ginny tries another rush at Ronan, but this time, Ronan is ready and waiting for her, the Irish gal taking more fluid combinations to her arms before returning fire with sturdy crosses that crunch into Ginny’s nose and lips. Gardner’s getting her head knocked backwards, her eyes wincing in pain as a third such straight glove sails past her arms and into one of her eyes, making her squeal with rage. Gardner tries to rest and reset at this point, but there’s no such rest for the wicked, and Saoirse comes in like hot air to fill an empty space. The other blonde LEAPS in and thrashes the Doll backwards with another overhand stinger to the forehead, and OUCH! Gardner’s in trouble! She’s seeing stars as she backs away, looking groggy and uncertain! HERE COMES SAOIRSE, pouring in the abuse now that she smells blood, landing punches all over the lean girl’s body and frame before SENDING GINNY DOWN with a textbook hook across her shocked face!! DOWN GINNY GOES- she’s left floundering on her side and trying to prop her chest up from the ground! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Saoirse Ronan, who gives a nod of acknowledgement to the crowds, before bouncing her way back to the neutral corner with both arms raised. Ginny’s shaking the pain from her head but it’s clear she’s looking a little out of sorts, with multiple false starts off the canvas only to fall back onto her chest and knees! The referee does his best to give her ten counts to recover, but at the final count of ten, I think that’s it, folks! He’s waving his arms over the still flattened blonde, and declares it OVER!

Official Decision: Saoirse Ronan defeats Ginny Gardner via KO5!

AFTER:
Saoirse continues her romp though the division with another win! Her 8th win out of her last 9, knocking out the bigger Gardner after an impressive performance as she was never really in danger of going down in this fight.
Ronan lifting both arms into the air and smiling, walking around the ring like she owns the place, and she does, for now.

Gardner still a blubbering mess on her stomach, being attended to by the Dollhouse stuff who roll the blonde to her back. Ronan soon comes along to check on her handywork, towering over the fallen Doll and asking the team if she’s going to be alright. “Good fight, Ginny. We should do this again soon.” The Irish girl says cordially from above after getting the nod from the Dollhouse medical team.

“Yeah…..” Ginny meekly groans in response, still groggy and unable to lift her head off the mat.

Saoirse leaves the ring quickly after to some loud cheers from her loyal fans, leaving Gardner and her management with plenty to contemplate after the blonde has now lost her 3rd fight in 4 this year.
