Cassie Scerbo versus Alicia Vikander

 (Words: Bazz / Results: Lookout!)

Before: “Well here we are again. We did this last year and the outcome was an obvious one. I knocked Scerbo around like a ragdoll. It was easy then and it’s going to be easy tonight. There’s just been too many shots to the head during this gal’s pudding baked career. I have to say that I’ve admired her. She’s one tough cookie, always in shape, always ready to go but it’s becoming very obvious that this is the beginning of the end for one burnt out FCBA fighter.” Alicia Vikander smiles triumphantly at the podium footnoting a heartbreaking loss suffered by Cassie Scerbo just last year to Alicia.

“You know… I just… Let me get into that ring. That’s all I’ve got to say. Let me in there!” Cassie Scerbo’s statement, or lack thereof, is short, stuttering and quite shocking as it comes from a fighter that is the very definition of pugnacious, sharp tongued and flyweight bully in the FCBA. The muscular flyweight bounds off of the podium and into the action.

Meanwhile Cassie Scerbo is in Bazz black, bikini showing off the ridges of a six pack, gloves and boots. As she bounces up and down in her corner she is heard telling Elisabeth Rohm, “Ponytail me!”

Rd 1 The bell sounds and Vikander’s eyes go wide as she witnesses Scerbo shoot out of her corner like a bullet. Cassie steps to her left and then dancing like a blur to her right uncoils a right hand to Alicia’s head. Pretty Swede tries to duck but she still catches a good portion of the Bazz girl’s anger. Vikander wide eyed and thunderstruck seconds into the fight. Scerbo crashing into her with lefts and rights as she bullies her up against the ropes. Alicia covered up tight as a button trying to withstand the assault. Scerbo, normally the picture of technique in the ring is wild. Still she’s dominating this round as anyone who had seen their first fight would have thought impossible. She’s bashing at Vikander touching her up in the torso and head with lightening quick punching. The round ends with Scerbo having to be pulled off of Vikander by the referee allowing Alicia to retreat to her corner with a bloody lip. Both fighters staring daggers at each other with Scerbo having proven her point regarding gleeful boasting during prefight events.

Rd 2 Vikander steps up to Scerbo at mid ring and then sweeps to her right avoiding a calmer yet still aggressive Cassie. The taller Swede finally throws some of her first punches of the fight, jabs that connect to Scerbo’s head. Cassie bobbing and weaving now, still looking to land some big punches although Vikander’s defenses are on full alert now. She’s moving smoothly around the ring, trying to pick at Cassie with her jabs. Meanwhile Cassie throws a combination that lands at Alicia’s liver causing the crowd to get back on its feet. Vikander briefly recovers and then returns to her jabs. The fighters are trading punches. Vikander is long and fluid while Scerbo’s choppy muscular assaults are concentrated towards the body. The bell rings with a slight nod to Vikander landing just a few more punches this round. 

Rd 3 Vikander showing more confidence this round with the first round Scerbo blitzkrieg a distant memory at this point. Scerbo scrappy and quick is touching up the Swedish beauty with jabs and two punch combinations. She’s driving Vikander all around the ring with her crisp punching. Meanwhile Alicia looking calm, cool and collected driving off Scerbo’s advances. She’s content to counterpunch her way back into this fight. Cassie circles to her right snapping off a few jabs and follows up with a jab right hook combo only to have Alicia catch her with her own right hand. Scerbo stumbles away, Vikander dances in with a three punch combo, jab, right uppercut, left straight arm shot to the face. Scerbo covering up now looking a little hurt as she finds the ropes hoping to withstand a strong Vikander. Alicia on her toes bouncing in and out on Cassie, hitting her with everything she’s got. The crowd on its feet cheering the action while the Bazzgirl bobs side to side with her hands up around her face taking some shots from the hard working Swede. Scerbo getting sick of the beat down ducks and covers and quickly moves to her left to get out from under Alicia almost getting away clean until she is caught with a glancing blow to the top of her head as the round ends. Scerbo certain that she has been hit after the bell goes after Vikander pushing, shoving and bringing both corners out into the ring. Scerbo’s anger still fueling the fire. Members of Vikander’s corner surrounding Scerbo and it’s looking like trouble for her until a large 6’-7” Scotsman parts the crowd and plucks a kicking and punching Cassie Scerbo up into mid air walking her over his head back to their corner.

Both fighters circling a little more cautiously now. The ref is watching closely and points can be deducted rather easily after the recent ugliness. Vikander moves with usual smooth rhythm striking out at Scerbo with a steady diet of jabs. Cassie dancing just outside the Swede’s reach. She’s playing with her by letting Alicia get close then jitterbugging out of range and then lunging in with a combination and retreating just ahead of a Vikander jab. The two play cat and mouse for half the round until Vikander is able to touch up Scerbo with a couple of jabs and then a right hand. The connections only seem to perturb the Bazz flyweight but Vikander is able to land a few more and squeak out the round.

Rd 5 Poindexter Del Crunchy stands in front of Cassie Scerbo while her corner works on her. Finally just before the start of the round Pointy is seen mentioning something to Cassie just before ducking out between the ropes. Cassie bolts out to center ring and waits for Vikander. The polished Swedish fighter is none too happy to follow suit eager to put away the feisty Bazz fighter. They begin tangling at center ring muscling each other for control. Cassie is the first to land a close in jab knocking Alicia’s head back. Scerbo quickly takes advantage sending a right hand into Vikander’s gut. The Swede doubles over and Scerbo goes over the top with a left hook. Vikander staggers back and Cassie puts it into overdrive. Bazzgirl swings away catching Alicia several times before the damaged Swede lands against the ropes. Vikander is clearly hurt now. She’s on the defensive with hands up around her face trying to withstand the Scerbo onslaught. Cassie rat-a-tat-tat to the body and when there is an opening to the head. Alicia not even fighting back at this point, just waiting for this round to end. Scerbo’s signature ponytail bobbing up and down as she gets down to work in front of her weakening opponent. The ref is watching closely while the seconds tick off. Scerbo catching Vikander with a right cross that draws a loud groan from the crowd. Now to the body Scerbo digs in with several uppercuts. Alicia caught in the proverbial Texas hailstorm with no cover around. She can’t hide or find any cover. She can take the punishment. For her the round thankfully ends and she is still standing but as she staggers to her corner it’s apparent that it’s just barely.
