3. Alexis Ren vs Gigi Hadid

Alexis:

BEFORE:
“Screw Cohen, and Gigi as well!” Alexis blurts out in the opening seconds of the press conference. “You all saw what happened in last year’s Birthday Bash - I absolutely CREAMED her ass. And now she wants another beating?? She knows where to find me, the b*tch!”

Gigi Hadid, meanwhile, simply looks on from the other end of the table, a bemused expression on her face.

“I love getting caught up in these intra-stable rivalries,” Gigi says, to the crowd’s laughter. “Every second these Vixens are beating each other up makes my job a little easier.”

“Screw you, Hadid,” Ren bites back. “You’re not in my league. I bet I could beat you with both my eyes closed!”

“I’d like to see you try, Alexis,” Gigi shouts back, almost giggling at the absurdity. “I’d bet that’s how you lost to Eden in the first place.”

“f*ck YOU!”

Both blondes almost get into a full-on altercation when Alexis decides to leap up and lunge for Gigi across the table, but of course is held back by a bevy of fight officials. Hadid still smirking and chuckling later on at the press showdown, with Ren brimming with hatred and casting side-eyed glares at her fellow blonde model and opponent tonight. The official square off is deemed too risky to be allowed to go ahead, and the press corp has to settle for more spitting insults thrown across the stage and Gigi promising to “shut the little girl up once and for all.”

Back in the arena, both girls are ready to go in their respective corners: Alexis pacing left and right anxiously, shaking a pair of red gloves loose on either hand. The Vixen is decked out in a loose white crop top and red trunks for tonight’s contest, a little bit of underboob clearly visible under the unconventional fashion statement. In the other corner, Gigi has decided to go for that classic lime green bikini top and black trunks, waving a white glove in a circle above her head as her name is announced.

There’s the referee’s signal to begin and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
And Ren THROWS herself into the thick of it, immediately rushing in and hammering Gigi to her head with punches! Hadid barely had a chance to get out of her own corner before she’s forced to cover up and move, letting out loud grunts of shock as Alexis rains lefts and rights all over her frame! These two have yet to meet in the ring but they’re already tussling about like they hate each other, with Gigi trying to fire off her own attacks but each of her jabs to Ren’s face met with double or triple the punishment, and Hadid (despite being a good two inches taller) gets trounced off to the ropes as another swipe across the chin lands stiffly, with Ren taking absolutely no f*cking quarter! Bell rings and it’s Ren’s show, through and through, the Vixen letting out a roar of triumph before taunting her fellow American with a “THAT ALL YOU GOT, GIGI??” on her way back to the corner.

ROUND 2:
Hadid responds with precision and poise of her own, this time keeping her distance from the young spitfire that is Ren and troubling her back with long jabs connecting to her face in the first minute. Gigi hasn’t had the most stellar record in the league, but her height advantage is translating well in terms of points tonight, as she frustrates Ren’s advances over and over again. Ren lets out a shout of frustration as her cheek gets bunched up yet again, and her own swings are barely missing their targets as Gigi flounders and weaves backwards to avoid. Last minute and Ren goes all in, tagging Gigi on the chest before swinging wildly in her direction, trying to drive her into the ropes to trap her in one place for punishment. But Hadid holds onto her marbles, panting hard as the two blondes wrap up in a messy clinch, arms holding onto shoulders and waistlines as they jostle against each other till the bell rings.

ROUND 3:
Hadid is performing much better than anticipated thus far. After all, this is the blonde model who’s gone down in a blaze of glory since time and time again. Here, she hovers at a distance, denying Ren any of her purchases, as the Vixen tries to brute force her way through her defences. Gigi absorbs those jab combos with a tight guard and locked arms, occasionally blasting Ren back with a surprise overhead swing to her temple. Middle minute, however, and Ren has had f*cking enough, throwing a feint to Gigi’s head left before slamming a a right hook into her body to wreck her. Hadid lets out a gasp of pain before her head is thrown to the side by another of Ren’s hooks sent up high. Suddenly, Hadid is in full retreat, with Ren in hot pursuit of a possible knockdown attempt!! Ren gnashing her teeth as she stalks the taller blonde to the ropes and alongside, ramming leather into her ribs and then taking big swings up top to hammer her to the side of the head. Hadid holding on for dear life, managing to survive by the skin of her teeth as she initiates the clinch over and over again, leaving Ren growling in frustration by the time the bell rings. Wide round to the Vixen, who shoves Hadid off her with malice, before heading back to her corner.

ROUND 4:
Ren’s all-out forced march has taken its toll this round, and the Vixen is moving a lot slower compared to the first quarter of this fight. Gigi capitalises, using her longer reach and longer legs to blast Ren to the middle of her arms with every opportunity, nailing her once or twice on the nose and chin with a sudden, step-in cross. Ren heard gurgling, mixing her response with rage, as she tries to break Gigi’s defences and negate her advantages, to no avail. All the Vixen can do at this point is keep her arms up and keep the rest of her body away from the taller blonde, and she wisely spends the rest of the round circling and taking small jabs at Hadid’s head and body. A few land by the time the bell rings, but they’re definitely not enough to trouble the model.

ROUND 5:
Ren continues to slide downhill as Gigi picks up the pace of her precision attacks. Each time Ren tries to close the distance and brawl, she’s a little too slow and sluggish, gets nailed across the face by an overhand hook or directly to the face by one of Gigi’s left hand jabs. Hadid slowly stamps her name into the ground, pushing Ren slowly backwards into a corner. Light at the end of the tunnel indeed when she catches the Vixen with another straight punch to the stomach, stunning her briefly, before she lets loose a hook up high! Ren barely intercepts with a raised arm, but the force of the impact sends her crashing straight into the ropes! AND HERE GIGI COMES, the taller blonde’s turn to throw caution to the wind, force her way into the pocket and hammer Ren’s ribs and stomach with lefts and rights! Ren left choking on the ropes, her chin faltering on shoulder as she tries to initiate the much-needed clinch to save herself! Gigi ALMOST manages to put her rival down, if not for the fact Ren succeeds in turning their bodies about multiple times, using her shorter but stockier stature to wrestle with her all the way to the bell. Bad news for Ren if this abuse keeps up, especially if she were looking to stake her claim as a future contender for the Lightweight crown again!

ROUND 6:
Good news for Ren is that Gigi is also tired out and intent on catching her breath after her wild blitz attack last round. Lanky blondes circle each other for the very first minute, taking one or two jabs at the head but nothing significant really landing. Hadid’s arms begin to waver instead when Ren’s speed allows her to land more than one jab direct to her nose and lips, socking the taller woman over and over to her face. Hadid suddenly tries to turn the tide with another overhand hook outta nowhere, but this time, Ren’s the wiser, easily slipping to one side to avoid before bashing her own hook across the bewildered girl’s chin. It’s Hadid’s turn to go stumbling off to the side, barely turning back around to face the growling Vixen just in time! Ren goes to work on the taller girl, chopping uppercuts into her waistline before testing the resilience of her guard with more tight swishes rockin’ into the arms. Hadid, however, manages to scoot away in the final minute, telegraphing her attempt to stay alive in this fight when she buries more jabs clean into Ren’s face to keep her away for good.

ROUND 7:
Hadid, however, appears to have run out of gas here in the seventh. She’s sluggish and slow out of her corner, allowing Ren to initiate with combos slammed into her arms to start. Ren is still huffing along like the little engine that could, intent on driving the taller blonde back into the ropes or her own corner in this final quarter of the fight. A couple of tense exchanges erupt in the first two minutes, with both blondes taking turns sticking leather into each other’s lips or chest, mutually assured destruction as they let out sharp gasps of pain in between the flying flashes of fists. But Ren wants it more, in the end, growling deep as she bashes a hook into Gigi’s chin, and then another and another lands on her foe’s face in quick succession. Hadid left in tatters, thrown into the ropes and left hanging there for a good second - more than enough time for Ren to leap in after her distraught self and continue to POUND AWAY on her frame! Hadid gets bent in half as Ren buries her fists into her tummy, before WAILING at her wavering arms as one blonde looks to KO the other for good!! Hadid lets out a groan as her head is swiveled to the side by a power hook, and that seems to be it! She loses her balance, COLLAPSING to the ground by the ropes! It’s a well-earned KNOCKDOWN for Alexis Ren!! Could this be it??

Ren left breathing hard above, spitting insults down at the fallen Hadid before she’s herded back to the neutral corner by the referee. Gigi’s also panting down below, the rest of her body shuddering and trying to find strength in her lengths to recover. But all she manages to do is hang her head on the middle rope as the referee steadily counts her out. By the time he hits the count of 10, Gigi slumps back down to her knees, knowing it’s all over!!

Official Decision: Alexis Ren defeats Gigi Hadid via KO7!

AFTER:
“That’s how you do it!!” Ren shouts to the rest of the arena in the immediate aftermath, throwing her arms high and wide and parading herself back to her corner to celebrate.

Hadid, meanwhile, has to contend with yet another loss on her resume. An impressive win over Sara Sampaio in last year’s War in Heaven tournament sparked rumours of a comeback for a moment, only for the desperate blonde to get knocked out in the Preliminaries by Adriana Lima.

“I took her for a ride, didn’t I?” Hadid does her best to smile at reporters later in the evening. “Ren’s a former champion and all that. And I managed to last seven rounds with her. I think that says more about her failure than my own.”

“She can f*ck right off,” Ren later claims, still grinning like a mad schoolgirl backstage. “Gigi’s like Kendall, Tay-Tay and the rest of this overrated division - all smiles and no legs to stand on. I’m coming for the title again, and no one - not even Eden f*cking Cohen - is gonna stand in my way!”
