BOXING ON THE BEACH

Before: “I’ve heard Minnillo talking trash about me, and honestly, I have no clue what she’s talking about,” pretty Laura V tells “Beach Beat Magazine”. “If she wanted a fight—she could have just asked; I’m very accommodative, But she never really challenged me—she just yakked about me on the street and in the media, until I finally got some paper in front of her and her management. So now we’re gonna go, and honestly? I’m tearing it up on this girl, because I don’t like the way she came at me one nit.”

Laura in royal blue bikini with artsy white line-art of fishes and aquaric flora; white gloves. Minnillo in yellow bikini; black gloves. Regulation ring set up outdoors, Hawaiian beach-n’-bleachers. During ring instructions, Vanessa frowning/squinting in the sun, looking bytchy; flanked by a similarly scowling Kiana Tom. Laura’s lower lip protruding slightly as she’s stubborning up in anticipation.

During R1: Laura stitches into ‘Nessa early—reaching out with a slightly cuffing jab, tugging at Minnillo’s cheek, Pokes coming in abrupt ones and twos; Laura frowning as she scores, wheels to her left all long legged; ‘Nessa startled, recoiling slightly, hands low, Minnillo trying to push-9in; Laura not having it—long blonde legging out of range—up on her toes with weight forward as she hop-circles to her left, then gets the jab back on hands: Minnillo able to block’em, but she’s spooked, backing up in the face of stuff blonde punching.. Tom shrill during the break, getting in Vanessa’s face and demanding more aggression from her young fighter.

R2: Laura up on her toes, attacking vigorously. Variety of jabs from LV: traditional straight, off the shoulder power-jab; that odd, slightly cuffing jab to ‘Nessa’s cheek or lips; stoop-and-reach jab taking Vanessa in her tummy. Stiff, jolting left hands have Minnillo confused, weight on back (right) leg: Vanessa just turning midring as Laura circles lithe. Down the stretch Laura gets this: big step in; wide hook to mouth; second left hook to mouth, shorter/sharper; drilling straight right hand oily off the shoulder, punching Vanessa’s mouth, jamming her chin down. Minnillo shocked backwards, dropped to her buttocks, sitting upright at ropes. Poor ‘Vanessa distressed—legs outstretched in a V: she’s trying to push up off her buns with knuckles on canvas, but her legs are numb! KO2 Laura V as a wide-awake but badly stunned Minnillo just can’t get off her glutes!

After: Happy Laura quickly mobbed and hugged—glorious display of sinewy blonde leverage and speed as curvy Vanessa never got out of the blocks. Tom quickly approaching Laura in her corner with Brook Burke in tow: Kiana determined to get Laura beat while she’s daring in invade Hawaiian beaches.
