Before: Milano drains herself down to 110 to face Liu for the Fox Television 110lb diadem. Milano a relentless inside fighter on a very unorthodox, supremely mobile boxer in what should be a tremendous struggle. Alyssa calmly assets in pre-fight “Lucy can’t take my punch. She’s shifty, but sooner or later, I’m going to hit her and she’s going to go down.” Liu in black jog bra, red cotton high cut trunks, Milano in black jog bra, red adidas terrycloth trunks.

During R1: Alyssa with her familiar crossed arm guard, bobbing and weaving approach is immediately confused by Liu’s early movement. Lucy, hands at her sides, sweeps her upper body in cobra-like passes, bending down below Milano’s waist with her head, then straightening with ridiculous uppercuts from her ankles. Liu missing most of these outrageous blows, but when she hits, she rocks Milano, who shows a stern chin early I soaking up the shots. Milano coming in, tries to cut off the ring, but Liu crouches, leaping up with a sweet right uppercut which lands with piledriver force between Alyssa’s gloves and MILANO GOES DOWN!!! Alyssa sprawls on her back, completely out cold, eyebrows arching high, lips burbling nonsensically as she stretches out on the unforgiving canvas. Liu with a catlike glance at her prey sashays back to her corner with a first round blow out.

After: Stunning dismissal of a very tough Alyssa Milano launches Liu into select company at 110. Packard reportedly interested in the Fox belt would put the best conventional fighter against he most awkward in a suddenly very hot small girl’s division.
