Before: Melinda a bit of a giant killer—Jeri has to be careful of the x factor in this one. Messenger not the best at any ne thing, but she’s well rounded fighter who doesn’t have a lot of tape on her. If messenger can do the little things right, box and execute, she can make Ryan work tonight. Melinda in athletic black bra and panties, Ryan in red bandeau bikini.

During R1: Melinda moving to her left, showing Ryan the jab, takes a lot ff her punches to remain one step ahead. Ryan stalking, but all too often getting turned as Melinda sets a fast pace early. Jeri unable to cut off the round, lands only sporadically, giving up points as she works on distance this round.

R2: More Melinda movement—side to side, keeping well out of range of Ryan’s jolting right hand, messenger beating Jeri to the punch, taking advantage of Ryan’s tendency to wait her turn, then stepping away as Jeri continues to shuffle forward. Melinda leaning back into the ropes, makes Jeri miss the first hook, but Ryan resets and clips Mel hard on the teeth with the second left, stunning Messenger, and the third has Mel’s body going limp as the Brit slumps to a seat on the ropes, mouthpiece dribbling down her chest as her gloves drop into her lap. Ryan pulling the trigger on that vicious right, pounds Melinda’s sleeping face, hitting her with a follow up hook on the eyes before Messenger can slump to the canvas., KO3 Jeri Ryan.

After: Ryan leaves no doubt, patiently hunting her prey down, moving her to the ropes and puddling Messenger with an irresistible series of hooks, culminating in that overkill right hand. Melinda had her girl out-quicked in the middle of the ring, but her chin wasn’t up to the task of fielding Ryan’s power punches—devastating performance from Jeri shows she hasn’t missed a beat since the Theron disappointment.
