Before: Diaz entering the tournament as one of the hottest fighters at the moment - fight against Hurley has the blonde flying high. Casta can be troubled by movement, but she's got the antidote to a slickster like Cameron - hard, accurate power punching the French girl's forte.

During R1: Diaz dances for a minute, but Laetitia tracks her down, has her way to the bell. Laetitia stepping right, cutting off the ring, bounces a stubby lead right off Diaz' face, staggering the blonde back to the ropes - brunette moving in purposefully, lays down a murderous barrage. Casta methodically crunching her way into Cam's slender ribcage - buckling the beauty forward, then muscling back into the ropes. Casta manhandling her girl, fighting off Cam's chest, beating her in the body with sick rights and lefts. Down the stretch, crowd oohing and aahing as Cam's head swivels in a shower of sweat - Laetitia putting clubbing strokes on target and rocking Diaz over and over. Cameron riding it out behind her gloves, getting nailed, wobbled, but she guts it out to the bell. Scored 10-8 without a knockdown as Laetita stacks on the hurt - Diaz showing heart in withstanding the pounding.

R2: Recovery round for Cameron - she's deadly serious, swerving left around Laetitia, feathering the jab, keeping her distance. Casta trying to get Diaz in trouble with that sneaky lead right on the chin - Cam's seeing it better, leaning/circling away from it.

R3: Diaz all the way back, pretties it up on Casta this round. Cameron dancing left, slapping Laetitia's face with a limber jab, occasionally rifling a slicing right to the mouth, between the eyes, then sliding away. Carving combinations to the face have Casta lumping up nicely, but she's walking through it - French girl taking a great punch, keeping the pressure on with her legs as she forces Cam to maintain a high tempo.

R4: Diaz getting comfortable with her range - she's still leggy, but going flat footed on occasion to get off hard. Diaz gloves at her cheeks, leans in, strokes a slapping hook to the ribs, doubles the hook up on the ear, then covers up, leans in forehead to forehead. Casta waiting on Cam, not getting off much - she's not shutout, just outworked this round.

R5: Diaz continues to get off first - different jab looks confounding Laetitia. Cameron feathering the jab to cover her movement, sticking a hard one to disrupt Casta's timing, turning it over into a cuffing hook. Cam pretty as she lures Laetitia forward, gives her a move, then sidesteps with a hand at Casta's back to spin her face first into the ropes. Wheels fall off late as Laetitia steps in quick and pops that stubby lead right off Cam's face - blonde staggering backwards, hits the ropes wide eyed at Casta's power. Laetitia crowding in, pressing up with her left shoulder, then twisting left to swing in a tuff body-shot right. Diaz covering up, hurting in the ropes as Casta steals the round with power.

R6: Casta stalking, Diaz luring - blonde giving ground in good order, walking Laetitia into slappy hooks on the ear, straight right hands between the eyes, pivoting sharp around the flank to turn the French girl. Midway through - Diaz flat footed, supple - she leans in gloves at her temples, dips, rips the right uppercut, dips left and jerks the left uppercut - Casta's head popping up with the blows as she freezes behind her guard. Diaz slap-hooks the belly, steps out, then REAMS Casta the hesitation right as Laetitia tries to close. CASTA GOES DOWN! French girl dropped to one knee - she's up quick, but has that I'm-hurt vertigo, swaying on the spot. After 8 - ON COMES CARMEN! Big C with that knack of moving in strong, then taking a half step out - getting Casta overextending and tearing her up with slashing combos. Carmen's fists a slashing blur, helping themselves to Casta's generous bosom, swat-swat-swatting the face, pushing up with elbows to keep Laetitia propped up. Casta arms crossed, in stupor - the punches just tearing away at her AND THE REF STEPS IN! Diaz squealing in triumph leaps away the TKO6 victor.

After: Not as controversial as a typical Diaz TKO - she had Casta hurt, suffering at the ropes - ref didn't have a lot of choice on this one. Laetitia cut and busted up, claiming she could have fought on in post fight - Diaz dismisses it as so much French bluster. "I was HARMING that kid - just shredding her. Any ref let's a fight like that go on needs to do time. It's the Cameron Diaz era folks - you look at who's left in this thing and you KNOW I'm gonna sweep to the final!"
