Ana Ivanovic vs Anna Kournikova (Aussie Open)

Before: Ana Ivanovic hailed as the prettiest, most feminine brunette tennis player since Sabatini - a fittiing match for the legendary Anna Kournikova. Anna K a full time fighter and celebutante these days - she's dismissive of Ana I until the latter refers to the former as 'aging'. Press conference brawl ensues as Kournikova shows some spirit. Fought at the Australian open (ring set up on center court - hot Aussie sun overhead). Yellow bikini for Kournikova; short black boxing shoes with white socks; white gloves; long blonde ponytail. Ana I in lavender bikini; short black boxing shoes with white socks; white gloves; battle braid.

During R1: Leggy girls skittish - they stalk into position, jab each other's faces, then hop back out of range to circle. Ivanovic the more committed jabber - stooping to get at Anna's stomach; stepping in poke to face; doubling up poke in spots. Kournikova disengaging, or showing earmuff, leaning forward to take scraping stick across her scalp. Ivanovic also mixing in a slapping hook to Kournikova's ribs: blonde proving sturdy, although fairly hittable in early going.

R2: Girls have had their looks: both more combative, flat footed this round. Both lasses range in with the jab, step in, pop hips-right and lay tasty hooks across one another's waistlines: Ivanovic proves the feistier as she forces Kournikova to back away. Middle minute - Ivanovic coming forward aggressively - nice elastic right hand troubling Kournikova up top, forcing her to cover up: Ana I's able to edge in close, put digging lefts and rights to good use against Kournikova's abcominals. Anna K blurts in pain, goes to ropes stricken: pretty brunette has pretty blonde distressed. Final minute mostly Ivanovic clean up: she's flat footed - extending arms to touch at Anna, then licking her tasty hooks and right hands, body and head. Kournikova showing earmuff, stooping forward, turning side to side and rolling shots: she's cringing as Ivanovic stops slapping her hook to ribs, starts turning it over and getting good gouge on Anna.K.

R3: Ivanovic' jab dismaying Kournikova - scoring to her face, backing her up. Rangy, gambling right hand from Ana I misses chin, but spooks Anna K back: blonde in full retreat, face concerned. Ivanovic cutting off the ring, locating Anna with the jab, then strapping her tummy thick, limber right hands: Kournakova sighing, saggiing to ropes, gloves at temples. Ivanovic able to stalk in, square away - very pretty the way she'll just extend gloves to touch at Anna, making sure of her before hooking her in the body, or clubbing her about the head. Touch, brush n' punch from Ivanovic working the Kournikova midsection and tidying up those breasts as blonde guard starts to loosen. Kournikova leaning back into ropes, swatting back the odd short left hook, or ducking forward to reach in and clinch. Ref's breaks push Ivanovic back a couple of steps, but she's always wading back in and setting up strong. Ana I finishes the round with a digging right hand rigid against Anna K's solar plexus: blonde crises out, immediately hugging her tummy at bell. Brunette turns abruptly, drawing her dark braid hard across Anna's eyes. "Braiding" and actual foul (as opposed to the more innocuous "ponylash") - Kournikova making a great show of holding her eyes and carrying on as Ivanovic is reprimanded.

R4: Kournikova tries to right the ship - spirited exchange mid ring sees Ivanovic clap a whippy hook to blonde jaw and DOWN GOES ANNA K! Crowd roaring as both girls hook and blonde girl scoots to butt: Ivanovic lighting up arena with her smile as she jogs back to corner. Anna K up, but weepy, shaky-legged - she sags into ropes, showing earmuff as Ivanovic marches on in. Ana I sets up pretty - reaching to touch and palm at Kournikova's shoulders before hooking her body, then touching at her to push and position. Softening licks downstairs loosen Anna up: Ivanovic immediately capitalizing on Kournikova's knockers via a tightly swatted pair of hooks. Anna K blubbering, coming apart - she leans back into ropes, hands high: Ivanovic starts scrubbing gloves side to side, partially pushing Kournikova's guard away/partially bumping at Anna's head. Ivanovic scrubbing - butt back, back straight, lips pursed - punching becomes straighter/more serious as Kournikova's guard crumbles. Criss cross left/rights start to jam in hard, pounding at Anna K's face: she turns to her right - right arm draped over top rope, left hand covering her head: she's just cringing there helpless as Ivanovic spanks away. Tasty clean up - Ana I grinning, pumping out the left/rights, legs tense, backside ringing as she pours it to K. Ref jumps in - Anna Kournikova non-competitive, just absorbing punishment. TKO4 Ana Ivanovic.

After: Bit of a surprise as up and coming tennis beauty dominates the more notorious Kournikova - Anna K never really comfortable as Ana I proved very committed. Ivanovic beaming in victory - speaking on the microphone afterwards as per tennis tradition - she unveils plans to hound Anna across Europe and the world, vowing to "scour the beaches and jewelled capitals of the world clean of Anna. From Dubai to New York - from Paris to Minsk - I won't rest until Anna is well and truly beaten!"
