After a reasonable debut against Rosamund Pike, winning a dour battle, Hayley takes on an experienced FCBA fighter in Jill, and must raise her game massively or get battered out of sight. Jill has been very patient on her UK tour, but must wonder why she is being set against a girl who can only be described as 'promising', although she was also taken the distance by Rosamund Pike.

For this fight, Hayley has chosen to wear a red one-piece outfit, while Jill has again opted for a black bikini.

Round 1

Hayley starts cautiously, but that gives Jill all the encouragement she needs, and the American is quickly into her stride, batting the Brit's face with her powerful jabs, then homing in on the girl's body, and landing punches with either hand in an attack which Hayley does well to withstand, holding on as tight as she can. After the girls have been broken, Hayley fights back nicely, stepping up the pace a little, but she is struggling to land anything worthwhile on the taller girl, who is gradually working her around the ring, thumping away to her body.

Jill wins the opening round

Round 2

Jill starts the round like a girl in a hurry, getting her hard left jab pinging into Hayley's mouth from the bell, with it looking a tough task for the Brit to repel her. So Hayley cahnges her tactics, and she gets drawn into an exchange of punches, but Jill's jabs are so hard and accurate that she's on the wrong end of this fierce exchange, her own shots never worrying the taller girl. Hayley is looking to clinch and hold again by the end of the round, but Jill's just clubbing at her ribs, bringing her arms down slowly but surely.

Round 3

Jill prances out of her corner, a girl who is pleased with herself, and she starts to jab Hayley's face, looking now to rip her following up right hand blows into the girl's face too, but she hasn't really softened her girl up enough yet, so that her eagerness to puy Hayley away allows the girl to get inside her lead, and she lands a few straight left and right handers to the American's belly, making her clinh for the first time. The referee is able to part the girls easily, but Jill has been shocked by Hayley's attack, and her failure to concentrate then costs her a quick left, right left to her face, hard enough to knock her head back and forth, and to have her backing off towards the ropes rather than take any more shots.

Round 4

The girls excahneg blows in the centre of the ring, each of them looking for head shots, and it's the more powerful Jill regaining control fairly quickly, her jabs to the Brit's mouth giving the girl some trouble. Hayley looks hurt from that exchange, and her efforts to clinch are brushed aside by a determined Jill, who goes back to basics now, working her girl to the body like she did in the second, and that guard's disintegrating by the second, letting Jill crack some heavy punches into the younger girl's face, knocking her back against the ropes, surely setting her up to finish her - not yet, though, as Jill makes sure the kid isn't holding back, ripping two, three hard blows into her belly, almost felling her at the bell.

Round 5

It's a sorry looking Hayley who clambers off her stool, her arms held pretty low - too low - as Jill moves in on her, again making sure shehas had the fight knocked out of her with a couple of hooks to the ribcage, she then, almost casually now, buffets Hayley's face with left, right, left again, then, with Hayley's knees quivering, Jill thumps her jaw hard with a right hook, the Brit dropping to the canvas, totally immobile as the referee counts her out.

Hayley took quite a battering in this fight, and Jill is quick to talk to Christine Bleakley at ringside, "To be truthful, I was jetlagged when I fought Pike - a bit out of sorts. Tonight was more like the real me, and next time I get in the ring, I'll blast whoever the BBU gives me real quick - don't doubt it!"
