Amanda Holden vs. Georgina Rylance (Partial Report)

Two English cougars are boxing tonight for the charity but in Britain as this bout comes streamed live from there.
Holden was a regular with the BBU and now the FCBA. Rylance was making her debut now even though she had been boxing in the UK for some years prior to this evening.
Georgina took the first round widely due to her jabs and long wingspan reach with her punches. The next two rounds were close ones and each boxer won one. The boxers had now settled in to the bout.
The fourth and fifth saw Georgina and Amanda take a round widely each. Amanda got into Rylance’s face with some good punches in the 4th to force her back against the ropes. But Georgina answered back in the 5th as the two English roses had worked each other’s bodies hard. Both were attended to in their corners and came out for the 6th round.
The sixth round began with an immediate firefight. Amanda got in a great uppercut to Rylance’s face during an exchange that swung control her way. Georgina then had to defend better as Holden came into her. The action moved to near the ropes now as Holden threw 2 straights into Georgina’s gut. It was coming to the end of the round when Amanda hit Rylance’s face with a right cross and left hook combination. Georgina went down and would only be on her knees by the time 10 was reached.
Holden had her glove raised and both fighters’ efforts were greatly appreciated the crowd’s reaction and the money raised. |
