BEFORE: "Laguna Beach Bad Girl" Kris Cavallari enjoying some notoriety as a hard-punching Disney-buster after beating up Brenda Song - Vanessa Hudgens wants a piece. "I was at the Song fight," Vanessa says in prefight. "Nothing special - Kristin would've lost in a ring, but it was toe-to-toe in sand and I think she discouraged Brenda a bit. I think I'd dominate Kris in a ring as well - that's why I'm going to her turf. Taking care of Cavallari's business on her own beach looks good on any resume." Cavallari in scrappy beach ponytail with bangs framing face; vivid baby blue bikini; white gloves. Vanessa in her beach togs (taupe and white horizontal bars; tan hide strings) white gloves. Fought on Laguna beach in sand - no ring. Crowd of about 150 onlookers - high noon.

During R1: Softening barrage of rights and lefts amidships has Hudgens backing away, gloves up: Cavallari able to step into a wide, roundhouse right uptop to clout Vanessa's ear, staggering her sideways. Cavallari willing to slug mouth-on-shoulder, but she's wider, more reckless, more open: she's getting off hard, but not landing flush, while 'Nessa's picking Krissy apart clean. Hudgens calm, cool, collected - walking Krissy in: Cavallari put wobbly butt from combinations in the first minute. Second minute, Hudgens easing back, luring her blonde: Hudgens able to tuck a hook snug in under Cavallari's elbow, then hook Krissy's jaw. Cavallari's legs stiffen - she turns to her right and falls back - legs out momentarily locked as she hits turf. Vanessa brightens, swishing away in sand, standing a few feet off with mitts on hips as Krissy gets woozy to her feet.

R4: Real difference in class becoming apparent. Disney-trained Hudgens relaxed in the pocket, able to fight backing up - she's walking Kris into some gorgeous shots. Cavallari proving to be one stubborn little blonde, getting ROCKED chin and body licks - really staggered and wobbly butt at times - but always gamely turning into the attack. Hudgens patient - sees she can't erase Kris with one punch, so just stays consistent. Brunette tidying up blonde midsection, looking after those breasts, clouting that chin with nifty little swats and cuffs - good compact stuff sees Kristin reeling through 4.

R5: Krissy rallies - crowd cheers: Cavallari a thrilling sight with her teeth bared, blonde bangs in her eyes as she pushes forward. Vanessa under threat, but maintaining her poise: dukes're up, she's bending forward at the waist while dropping her right foot back, always pulling away, sucking Kris forward. Cavallari having some success in pursuit with a wide, clobbering hook to body, followed by hook to head: bang-bang beat often rattles Hudgens, moving her to her left. 'Nessa staying loose, occasionally jabbing to pre-empt Krissy, ducking to make the blonde miss over top, then walking Kristin's tummy onto a shoulder for a quick clinch-and-turn routine. Cavallari round, but Vanessa managing blonde pressure all around the beach.

R6: Spicy right hand lead spring-loaded off the shoulder, punches Kristin's face straight back. Cavs with dukes up, eyes blinking, poses for another right hand flush off the face. Hudgy hooking paunch, then pushing Kris in her shoulders: blonde stumbles back woozy. Another right hand bounces off Kristin's face - springy, pasting blast - then a quick hook gouges in underneath her right breast and KRISTIN GOES DOWN! Cavallari sobbing out, backing away, then sinking to her haunches gasping: terrible body shot momentarily takes away blonde legs. Vanessa beaming, strutting mitts on hips: she's landing some thrilling leather on Kris, really scoring well. Kris struggles up off her haunches, blinking back tears: she's combative, forcing herself forward - but Vanessa walking blonde tummy and breasts into more abuse heaps on punishment through 6.

R7: Kristin breaking down - she wants to come forward and bully Vanessa, but Hudgens much fresher, crisper-punching at this point. Hudgy still walking Kris in, sucking her forward, then beating her to punches: brisk combinations bounce off tummy and tits, setting up hard single-shot hooks or right hands to chin. Vanessa pushing Kris after scoring, stepping away and luring blonde forward again: tragic to see Cavallari's buttocks wobbling sadly as she inches forward, leather-wary. Kris with right up at her cheek, left across her body, trying to Kenny-Norton her way forward: easy potshot-pickin's for clever 'Nessa as brunette steps away, sets, and triggers.

R8: Vanessa really putting it to Krissy: hard to watch. Cavallari absorbing so much clean, hot punching - she's amazing a lot of onlookers as she trudges forward, gobbles a pasting, sways on the spot, then wanders forward in search of fresh abuse. Vanessa fighting with a coldhearted little smile: she's got Kristin stoopid with punishment, ready to go - little brunette just tidying up, working her combinations. Crowd shouting in protest, then booing as Vanessa repeatedly hooks Kristin's trunks, just because she can: poor Cavallari groaning in stupor, stumbling forward after the rude trunk-checks sap the last of her will. End comes as Vanessa walks a shabby blonde into a short right; swatting left to chops; sidestep right to set up a chopping right to jaw; blistering hook off Krissy's temple as Vanessa hops in pretty to get it compact. Cavallari stumbles away bleary-eyed, then plops to her back in sand - back of her right hand covering her eyes against the sun. KO8 in brutal fashion - Vanessa Hudgens.

After: Hudgens working over the Laguna Beach Bad Girl about as bad as Krissy's ever taken it - Cavallari a long time on her back as concerned onlookers gently coax her to a seated position. Dominant, hard hitting win for Vanessa - she had Krissy too hurt most of the day to even think about really being competitive. "It's a start," Vanessa tells 'Beach Beat' magazine. "It says I'm here, I'm tough, I hit hard and I finish girls I hurt. Cavallari's a pretty blonde stepping stone, and I've taken the step - we'll see where it leads."
