Before:

Lightweight action tonight sees Gal Gadot in action for the first time in over a year as she fights in hopes of adding a statement victory against a top lightweight in Emily DiDonato as she celebrates the release of another movie. However, Emily will be fighting in her third match in two weeks after taking on fellow elite lightweights Kendall Jenner and Missy Peregrym, emerging victoriously in both. The question is whether or not Gadot can capitalize on the potentially weakened face of Fates.

While fights between Lookout and Fates girls have had their testy moments, DiDonato continues to make peace with everyone in Lookout not named Kate Upton by complimenting Gadot, “I really enjoy her as an actress, and I was surprised to hear she hadn’t fought in a year,” the model tells the press. “Obviously, I want to win, but I hope Gal fights more frequently.” When asked about her somewhat cordial attitude towards the Lookout girls, she merely responds, “It’s Taylor’s job to get under their skin. My only issue is with Upton.”

Gadot meanwhile knows that she’s the underdog in the fight, but she seems confident despite that. “Emily’s had two brutal fights this month. First Kendall Jenner, then Missy Peregrym. Now me. People will use that against me when I win, but a win is a win. And tonight, I’m reminding people of why I’m a star.

Gal Gadot is the first girl to make her way out to the ring, the Israeli actress wearing a navy blue sports bra and matching trunks with white gloves for the fight. Moments later, Emily DiDonato emerges from the back, dressed in a red lingerie set with black gloves, her hair up in a bun. The two women touch gloves and the bell rings to start the fight.

Round 1:

Both leggy brunettes quickly get out of their corners and start a fast-paced circling pattern. The more experienced DiDonato sticking with her jab early, but the slimmer and faster Gadot is able to avoid a pair of jabs from the former lightweight champion and strikes DiDo in her mouth early, reminding everyone that while Emily may be on the taller side of the lightweight division, Gal also stands at an impressive 5’10” tall. Emily is quick to raise her gloves a bit higher as Gal strikes three sharp blows off of the American model’s gloves before working two rights into her ribs, and it’s all Gal Gadot here early. Emily backs off, and as Gal closes the distance, Emily plants her feet and thumps two rights into Gal’s upper torso, knocking the Israeli actress backwards. Emily warily approaches Gal, lashing out with a right jab, but again Gadot easily evades DiDonato’s strike and drives a sharp right into the former champ’s chin. DiDonato quickly drops back and stays away from Gadot as the bell rings, and Gadot takes the first round in a bit of a surprise move here early against one of the best girls in the FCBA.

Round 2:

The quick pace continues as both girls exit their corners and trade jabs, both women making good use of their long reach. Gadot fakes right but DiDonato calls her bluff and smacks the actress with a right straight to her kisser, and Gal drops back, having been told of Emily’s strength by the other Lookout girls, and keeps her guard up. DiDonato steps forward, deking right and hitting two blows into Gadot’s ribs, but before her arms are back up Gal fires off two blows and strikes Emily twice in her chin, knocking the American model backwards before she plants her feet. Gal drives a short right into Em’s body and the two girls trade close range blows until they wrap each other up and have to be broken apart after they scrap. The bell rings shortly thereafter and it’s another round to Gadot, this time close, and you can’t help but wonder that Emily is still recovering from fighting Hall of Famer Missy Peregrym only days after taking on Kendall Jenner less than two weeks ago.

Round 3:

DiDonato gets a talking to by Ana Beatriz Barros between rounds and the model comes out with purpose to start the second, her jabs more crisp and her movement much quicker than in the previous two rounds. Emily tags Gal twice in her chest before splitting the actress’ guard with a right that finds its way to her mouth. Gadot recoils slightly from the blow, but she springs forward and drives a right of her own right into DiDonato’s chest. They exchange a pair of body shots each before Emily drives a particularly powerful right into Gal’s midriff, knocking the Israeli backwards and giving both girls some much needed breathing room. The pace slows down as Emily starts to methodically start with her stronger blows, showing off some of that has made her one of the most feared fighters in the FCBA. DiDo snaps Gal’s head backwards with a strong left, but that’s all she can get before Gal hits her back in her jugs and the bell rings. DiDonato edges out ahead in the round, but it’s close and Gal is putting up quite the fight.

Round 4:

Emily again gets out of her corner quickly, and the American model gets the Israeli actress on her heels early with two strong blows to Gal’s ribs. Gadot drops back with her long legs, planting her feet and driving a right into DiDonato’s chin as Emily steps forward and DiDo nearly goes down as her legs buckle! Gadot rushes forward and drives a right into DiDonato’s liver as the model covers her head before shifting her focus to Emily’s guard. Gal’s gloves bounce off of Emily’s before the Lookout girl drives two big rights into Emily’s solar plexus, drawing a gasp out of Emily and nearly bending her double, only for Gadot to connect with an uppercut to Emily’s chin that drops her legs out from under her and drops her to all fours! It’s a knockdown for Gal as she is absolutely taking it to the former champion. DiDonato is disoriented on the ground, shaking her head, but the brunette makes her way off of all fours by planting her right foot at six, then standing up at seven. The referee quickly checks in but just as quickly waves Gadot back in, who looks to wail away on the model. DiDonato is covering up and holds on until the bell, and while Gadot wishes she could have finished Emily off, she’s definitely made her job easier down the line.

Round 5:

Gadot comes out of the Lookout corner with a purpose, looking to make a name for herself and she instantly lands a swift right into Emily’s tender solar plexus, making DiDonato wince. Gadot follows up with a left to DiDo’s ribs again, but Emily is ready for the blow and nails Gal back with a hammer blow. The Lookout girl recoils from the blow and Emily is quick to follow her, driving a right into Gal’s midriff before hitting at the older girl’s gloves. Gal blocks Emily’s blow and quickly wraps her up, forcing the referee to separate the two girls. Out of the break, there’s a whole lot of circling without a lot of action, both girls just probing the other’s defenses with jabs that are looking for a lucky connection or a lazy guard more than serious damage. Neither gets what they are looking for, and the fight finally takes a slower pace, with Emily coming out ahead in the round.

Round 6:

DiDonato seemingly getting into a rhythm as the fight enters its back half, the brunette landing her strikes from distance and knocking back Gadot into the corner. DiDo lines up a straight right but Gal dodges and nails Emily with a right to the chin and DiDonato nearly goes down again! Emily covers up as Gal goes back to the model’s body, and now it’s Gal who’s got her opponent in the ropes. Emily finds enough room to fire off a jab into Gal’s mouth, and that gets the American just enough breathing room to escape from the ropes. Gadot pursues DiDonato, landing another quick strike to the model’s chest that makes a dull thud. Emily squirms and lands an awkward left into Gal’s side before the two girls end up tangled up. The referee intervenes to separate the two 5’10” girls, and the round comes to an end soon after. Gal Gadot is absolutely putting up a massive fight against Emily DiDonato and she may well end up getting the upset of the night at this rate.

Round 7:

The Goshen Goddess gets a talking to from coach Ana Beatriz Barros and she starts the seventh round looking like a completely different fighter, moving about much better and blocking Gal Gadot’s punches before retaliating with strong strikes of her own. Gadot feints left and strikes out with a right that grazes DiDonato’s left ear. Emily responds with a right hook that nearly swivels Gal’s head around and the Israeli actress nearly goes down! Gal covering up as Emily advances, just pounding the older girl’s slender body backwards. Gal throws her arms around Emily as the blows increase in intensity and she forces a break. Emily goes right back after the Lookout girl after the break, taking a sharp right, but instantly connecting with a right of her own before burying a left into Gal’s solar plexus that makes the older girl howl in agony and the bell rings. Gal wincing as she heads back to her corner, clearly hurting from the blow from the model to end the round.

Round 8:

DiDonato looks like a different fighter coming out for the eighth, and she lasers in on Gadot’s wounded body, already turning a deep red from the beating from the previous round. Emily drives a couple of blows at Gal’s body, drawing the actress’ guard lower and parries the response before driving a right straight into Gal’s chin. Gadot pulls her guard up and DiDonato just pounds her body, the actress shaking with each strike as she retreats. But Emily doesn’t let up, and she keeps her focus on the older girl’s body. Gadot plants her feet and fires off a right-left combo that DiDonato avoids before plowing leather into Gadot’s midriff again and down goes Gal in a heap! The actress clutches her body as she writhes in agony on the ground while Emily watches intently. Gal gets on her knees, but she’s still clutching her body at the count of ten after a valiant, yet ultimately failed effort against Emily DiDonato.

Your winner by KO8, Emily DiDonato!

After:

The Fates corner lets out a massive sigh of relief as DiDonato raises her gloves in victory after a more challenging fight than most probably thought would happen. Emily leans on the ropes for a minute before checking in on Gal and the two women embrace before the model leaves the ring.

“She’s a lot tougher than her record may indicate,” Emily praises her opponent, “She had me early. But just because a girl may have me early, that doesn’t mean that she will win. I hope that she gets in the ring more often.”
