Gena Lee Nolin versus Ireland Baldwin(Words: Sceej / Results: Lookout!)

“OUTRAGE!” screams the headline of BLONDE magazine when the announcement comes that Ireland Baldwin has signed to fight Gena Lee Nolin. “Miss Baldwin is a genuinely great prospect – the type who could enforce blonde hegemony over the welterweight division for a decade if managed properly! And therein lies the problem! Unattached and eager for exposure, irresponsible matchmakers have thrown this girl in only her third professional fight into the meat grinder that is Gena Lee Nolin!”

Pre fight presser, Ireland tight lipped, with mother former lightweight Kim Basinger; Nolin relaxed … cranes neck to look down the dais, “Hey Kim … member me?”, then to press, “A lot of people may not know but pre FCBA when I was just coming up, they brought me into spar with ol’ Kim down there … I think she was training to fight Sharon Stone? Kim was a royal b*tch … big leaguing me … and then we get in the ring, they got me wearing these 20 ounce pillows for gloves and I STILL put her on her ass twice! Got sent home for that! Kim didn’t like sparring partners that hit back. Now, she signs her kid to fight me? Child abuse if you ask me (snicker) …”

Fight night! Ireland Baldwin to the with her mother Kim Basinger as her second. Some oohs from crowd as she stand to her full six feet two inches of height. Ireland in emerald sports bra,

Channeling “Sheena Queen of the Jungle” wearing a leopard print sports bra, matching trunks, orange gloves with a claw mark pattern on, finishing her look with leopard print boots and her hair is braided too. Seconded by veteran trainer Scrubby McGee.

Referee instructions, Ireland refusing eye contact, Nolin smirking. As they tap gloves, Nolin sneers “Dead meat” and gets a preemptory warning from the referee, “ I want a good clean fight … clean, got it?!!”

“Like always!” chuckles Gena Lee.

Round 1: Ireland Baldwin to center ring … five inch height advantage and even more disproportionate reach advantage … she extends that long lanky jab to establish distance. Pap … pap … pap … forehead … nose … forehead … peppering Nolin. “Kid’s well schooled!” offers one ringsider. Gena Lee starts weaving head side to side, looking to get inside, slips under jab and clinches sloppy with tall girl and walks her to the ropes. Sloppy wrestling and inside fighting favors the veteran but Baldwin able to land whipsaw left hook to the flank which causes Gena to disengage, cranky. Batting gloves together, Nolin again engages and is repulsed by that long jab. Near end of round, Gena Lee with reckless bulrush again presses model to the cables, forcing her back – she spanks both flanks with a left right, then uppercut that could generously be called ON the belt line. Bell rings and referee warns “Keep ‘em up, Nolin.”. Gena Lee with a shove as fighters disentangle and ref between them, Close round – two judges favor Nolin but one likes the rookie!

Round 2: Mama Basinger in Ireland’s ear, “OK … not more jitters, right? She’s old and she’s slow! She tries to march on you, make her regret it!”

And it is a boxing clinic … by IRELAND BALDWIN? Stuffing that jab into the determined face of Gena Lee, and when Nolin slips it or walks through, stopping her dead in her tracks with long lanky right hand. Baywatch beauty angry and confused, snorting, circling, looking for a way in. When she does penetrate the model’s defense, its immediate tie up. Nolin struggling violently to get lose, bucks head up and clips the Baldwin chin, drawing a scolding from the referee. Round wide to Ireland Baldwin.

Round 3: Scrubby McGee reads Nolin the riot act. “Get inside, Gena! Don’t let dis tall drink o water just set up and fight like she wants. Did kid’s a punk … you be da boss!”

And storming out of her corner comes Big Bad Gena Lee Nolin … and right into a straight right hand from Ireland Freakin’ Baldwin! And Nolin is stopped dead in her tracks. Lanky youngster circles, giving ankles and spanking the Baywatch battler’s flank and jaw with left hook and a whipsaw right hand. Enraged Nolin loads up overhand right, but Baldwin snakes head back and counter with her own right to the head and then doubles up left to older woman’s midriff. Nolin staggers back … bends slight at waist … cramping from the body shots! Emboldened Baldwin double jabs the face – that hard telephone pole jab that knocks the head back – and then kisses Nolin jaw with gorgeous right hand.

Announcer apoplectic, “… BIG RIGHT HAND IRELAND BALDWIN AND GENA LEE NOLIN LOOKS READY TO GO! LEGS HOLDING HER UP BUT SHE DOESN’T KNOW WHERE SHE IS … LEFT RIGHT LEFT TO THE BODY … NOLIN DOUBLED OVER … PICKED UP WITH A CLIPPING UPPERCUT …”

And there’s the bell to end round 3. Ireland Baldwin throws hands in the air … crowd roaring … and Gena Lee Nolin is just trying to find her own corner!!!

Round 4: Kim Basinger sends her daughter out, hissing “… finish her … FINISH HER!”

Baldwin out of her corner, steel eyed and purposeful, right to her opponent. Nolin still on shaky legs, pushes out the “don’t hurt me’ jab. Through over two hundred FCBA fights, there remains one glaring weakness in the Baywatch Bomber – she CANNOT fight backing up! Ireland snaps the head with one two up top and when stumbling Nolin raised guard, cripples her with buggy whip left to the flank, then doubles it up with a liver shot! Nolin sags back into rigropes, lilting like a ship taking on water as young model pounds away. Past the two minute point and Big Bad Gena Lee digs deep and finally responds … left hook that lands flush to Ireland Baldwin’s jaw … but the kid is dead game! “C’mon!” she demands and the blond beauties start trading and one again youth is served.

Announcer: “… big left Nolin … out of no where .. and Baldwin dead game … responds with left right to body and head … Nolin misses with right and Baldwin clips her with uppercut … Nolin in trouble again … fans we may be seeing Gena Lee Nolin’s last stand in the FCBA … she fires back … there’s the bell .. and they are still trading … and BALDWIN DOWN … BALDWIN DOWN … BALDWIN DOWN!!!”

Referee late between the fighters and punching continues well past the bell. Basinger on ring apron screaming blue murder, “LOW BLOW! SHE HIT HER LOW! OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES, REF!!!”. Nolin stumbles to corner … Ireland Baldwin slow getting up …

Referee to judges – no knockdown that round … punch that dropped Baldwin came AFTER the bell … deducting a point from each for fighting past the bell … low blow? Didn’t see it!” Result is a 9-8 round for Baldwin, who has built a huge 38-33 lead through four but looks in very very bad shape in the corner as Kim Basinger works frantically, icing her neck and crotch.

Round 5: For all the punishment she’s taken this fight, putting a hurt fighter in front of Big Bad Gena Lee Nolin is like putting a Porterhouse in front of a Doberman. Ireland Baldwin wincing as she lifts lanky frame off stool. Nolin across ring cold eyed, pushes tall girl into ropes and bangs right to the body when she bounces off cables. Nolin puts forehead on opponent’s chest and just moves hands relentlessly, shouldering guard up to expose torso. Hard liver shot draws a whimper out of Ireland and a cruel smile out of Gena Lee. Gena Lee violently twists her hip into an uppercut and all six feet two inches of Ireland Baldwin pitches forward. Count is a formality – Gena Lee Nolin knocks out Ireland Baldwin in come from behind fashion!

Post fight: “Get the gloves off!” snarls Gena Lee and Jenny McCarthy chortles in anticipation. Baywatch Bomber over to opposing corner, takes a handful of that long blonde hair and pulls Ireland Baldwin to her feet. Kim Basinger trying to get into ring, scuffling with McCarthy, as Big Bad Gena Lee takes semi-conscious youngster for a scalding Walk of Shame. Boos raining down from crowd who were largely impressed by kid’s surprisingly good showing … and reacting to the boos, Gena Lee takes her for a SECOND circuit before dumping her in the corner.

Aftermath – FCBA officials trying desperately to diffuse potential public relations nightmare as a sixty five (!) year old Kim Basinger applies to have her license reinstated to fight Gena Lee Nolin!
