BEFORE:
Another Doll fighting on tonight’s card, and this time, Ginny Gardner looking dead set on attaining a victory for herself, after a string of disappointing losses having thrown her ambitions in the division into question. Backstage, the blonde has never looked more serious, more focused, as she responds to the reporters’ questions about her upcoming fight:

"I know I need to step up my game tonight. I've come up short twice in a row now after starting pretty strong, and I feel like I've disappointed my stable. I fully intend to fix this tonight, so don't even worry about it! It's not gonna be easy, for sure: Kyra seems strong and she’s in amazing shape. I know she's been struggling lately so I hope I can take advantage of that. I've been training for a full month specifically for her, so… I'm ready. Bring it, Kyra!"

Ginny at least ending her comments on a positive, confident note, specifically holding up a fist to the cameras to show her opponent what’s in store for her tonight. Another part of the backstage area sees Kyra Santoro also making ready for tonight’s contest, grinning as she straps on boots and red gloves whilst talking to members of the press as well.

“She’s in a strong position to do well, that’s for sure. I don’t blame her for falling to Luisa though - that’s just what happens when you go up against someone strong like my friend. But if she thinks that I’m gonna be an easier pushover tonight, she’s dead wrong,” Kyra dropping that smile as she sets the camera with a serious glare.

“I’ve faced losses recently myself, and I know there have been rumblings behind the scenes that I’ve not been pulling my own weight. We’ll just have to see, won’t we Ginny, which of us wants to stay in our stables more badly.”

When it’s time for the girls to enter the arena, Gardner coming in first dressed in that baby blue and white sports bra slash fighting tights, her long, blonde hair not yet secured into a ponytail just yet, long strands flowing freely down either side of her chest. Kyra next, bouncing on her toes as she strides out from behind curtains in a black and white bikini top and bottom, respectively, donning a sporting hood on her way down the ramp to keep her focus and attention on Ginny who’s already in the ring.

Girls actually touching gloves right before the start of this contest - they’ve been known to have the nicest personalities compared to some of their counterparts on each roster, so it’s unsurprising that they deem it fit to show each other some respect here. Referee calls for the bell to start and HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Ginny staying behind the front lines and moving quick on her feet. She’s sure to have been warned of Kyra’s eccentricity and aggression, and of course, to keep a lookout for her powerful hooks. Kyra predictable in such a way, storming forward and making up for loss time in the ring with some immediately combinations flung at Ginny’s direction. But the Doll keeping things slow and tight, simply keeping herself away from the charging girl before planting her fist over and over into Kyra’s face from afar. Santoro bleeding away points in this manner as she can’t seem to take a hint that you ain’t gonna catch Ginny off-guard in this way. At least not in the first round of the match, where she’s fighting loose and confident. Ginny with a wide smile on her face as she takes this opening three minutes by a comfortable margin as a result.

ROUND 2:
Santoro getting schooled and lectured by Head Trainer Steve Boyd in the corner in between rounds, whereas Ginny getting praised to keep up the good work, by contrast. Slower start to Round 2 as a result, with Ginny bracing for another onslaught of wild, unchecked Santoro aggression, but finding a more subdued version stalking her about the ring instead. Kyra biding her time and closing the distance with her own constant jabbing, and suddenly Gardner looks troubled when the jabs start landing more precisely on her face and body, with herself unable to keep Kyra off her with the same success as last time. Last minute and Gardner with little choice but to fire right back, and we see the most amount of action exchanged between both ladies in the final seconds when they trade punches to each other’s heads and chins in a rapid lefts and rights, shots landing simultaneously. Neither girl celebrating this time as they head back to their stool, although we would still give Kyra a small advantage here as she manages to bite back from earlier.

ROUND 3:
This seems to be the problem with Ginny’s morale though: each time she begins the fight on a strong footing, but starts to lose momentum once she hits a snag or two that disrupts her plans. Kyra schooled on this fact by her own team, storms into her space in the first minute hoping that it’s enough to attempt a knockdown of the beautiful blonde. Alas, Ginny learning from her past mistakes, again evades the charging bull like she saw it coming a mile away and peppering Kyra’s body, making her fly back with quick punches scoring on the face inwards. Kyra grunting, covering up, eats another one-two jab-jab to the body before she tries again at a rush. But Ginny actually timing this second shot wilder, with more force, sending a rising right hand upwards, that SNAGS the chin briefly and sends Santoro into another daze of her own! HERE comes Ginny looking to exploit! Kyra in trouble as that last blow rocked her senses bad! She’s covering her head up on the ropes even as Ginny tries to put her away with more thumping leather to the midsection. But wailing away at Kyra’s guard isn’t going anywhere, especially with the little time left on the clock. Bell rings and though Gardner took it by a wide margin, Kyra is still left standing and able to survive to fight another round.

ROUND 4:
Santoro showing signs of weariness early, especially since she’s been charging this way and that for the past three rounds. Ginny instructed to take the fight to her a little more, and begins circling inwards and jabbing continuously at her guard. And for a while, it seems to be working: Kyra with little motivation left to attempt another blind charge Ginny’s way, and is forced to turtle up and hope for the best or for that one lucky shot. Ginny by contrast landing her jabs on her forehead, chin and of course that lean body, constantly walking Santoro backwards across all four corners of the ring. Very soon, she gets the confidence needed to begin putting more power behind her punches, with Kyra feeling the side-effects of hooks slamming into her forearms. But just as another one rattles off harmlessly to the side, Kyra comes back with a swing of her own that CATCHES the Doll clean on her own face! OUCH… Ginny stunned to say the least as the painful shot twists her head to the side and sends her stumbling off to say afloat! Kyra on her case in an instant, rains down more blows from ontop, using her force and strength to literally SHOVE Ginny face-first down into the canvas, where she lands on her side rolling about and covering her throbbing head up with both hands!

It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Kyra Santoro, in what’s surely more bad news for Ginny’s corner! Referee starting the count, and to her credit, Ginny’s already attempting to rise back up slowly, but mind you still clutching at her bruised jaw with one hand. Kyra’s bated breaths heaving in corner, mutual respect evident from the way they’re looking at each other from across the ring when Ginny manages to get back to her feet at the count of 8, and the round subsequently ends thereafter.

ROUND 5:
A shame, really, that Ginny just can’t quite catch a break for herself, having won that previous fourth round in convincing manner only to have the carpet snatched out from under her by that late-round knockdown. Well, that’s just how these boxing fights go, folks. And both these girls still have another shot at winning this with five more rounds set to go. Ginny in particularly seems undeterred, repeats the same pattern of being light on her feet and circling Kyra from left and right, before planting jabs all over her frame. This is the strategy she wants to adopt in the long run, for sure, because while they may earn her points for every punch landed on skin, Kyra for example doesn’t look particularly hurt whenever those light taps on her face and body score but don’t scar. Santoro taking it all in and still coming forward with steady advancing feet. Ginny being pushed backwards without realising it again, that knock to her head perhaps making her panic at the prospect of it happening once more the closer Kyra closes in. Kyra begins to knock her head back with snap punches to the nose, quickly making up for loss time here as she puts more and more power behind her shots. Gardner letting out another squeal in the second minute as a hard right slams into the middle of her face. Kyra steps in and BLASTS the poor girl’s head up into orbit once again - AND GINNY GOES CRASHING DOWN ONTO HER BACK! This time, she stays there for good! Referee hits the 10-count and oh my word - it’s OVER!

Official Decision: Kyra Santoro defeats Ginny Gardner via KO5!

AFTER:
Another disappointing loss for Ginny Gardner as she extends that unfortunate losing streak to three in a row. Oh man. One can’t help feel sorry for the Doll as she really has put in her best efforts into each fight. Just what does she have to do in order to catch a break here?

Kyra beaming on the other hand, internally elated as well at having started 2019 on a positive note. She, too, has some words of encouragement for her former opponent.

“I whispered into her ear, as I was helping her up, to never give up her dream. She may take a few bumps here and there on her road to the top, but boy is she fast and I can see a positive attitude in her. She definitely has a bright future in this division, no doubt about it.”

For now, Kyra celebrating with friends and trainer in her corner, allowing Ginny to weigh and weather her own defeat in hers, where she’s given a pep talk to and reassurance by Carmen Elektra as well. A hard-fought match between equal competitors here, and the question remains: what’s next for either girl?
