BEFORE: "Don't call this a Cougar Derby! I have some scores to settle with these Dolls and they're a cute bunch alright but I've kinda had enough of one pesky Canadian in my gym already! Love ya, Nina!" - Minka Kelly tries to downplay the rumours about her slumping career heading for the exit door in the foreseeable future. She actually looks more relaxed than she last faced a Dollhouse opposition and was swiftly put away by the elite-rising Bella Thorne in JMD rules.

Meanhwile Katheryn Winnick has hit a nasty speed bump on her quest for ultimate stardom when she fell do Elizabeth Olsen on last month's PPV. She bounced back knocking Olivia Wilde out under Doll Ball lights already but the wolves - or maybe lionesses - remain at her elite gates so she basically MUST beat Minka Kelly tonight.

"Minka is definitely one of my toughest opponents to date and I’m expecting a hell of a fight tonight…that’s not to say I feel like the underdog or anything. I’ve won 14 of my last 15 fights. Everyone is talking about her slump and well…Minka better be worried about me. Hell, even Tess Valmore likes me now and that's huge!” Katheryn chuckles. “I plan to win and win big tonight! Just like every night when I’m out there. Winning tonight will be huge for me, getting me closer and closer to fighting top names like Claire Danes and Evangeline Lilly. I want 2019 to be big for me! This is the first step!”

Minka Kelly wears a leopard print bikini top, black hip-huggers and red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Katheryn Winnick wears a white crop top with black trim, matching hotpants & white 'Venum' labelled gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Minka's been found guilty of some slow starts before and Kat takes full advantage of that possibility as she splits the brunette's mitts and tackles her up the middle outright. She snaps her head repeatedly so the Lioness girl doesn't even establish her famous bendy attitude before she gets clattered back to the ropes. Winnick barks in her efforts trying to stamp some quick authority and has Kelly weaving on her feet but not exactly responding well to the pressure. A couple of single-hand routes do nothing to tame the blonde's attack which only increase come the final minute where Kat clubs both temples and bends the brunette into awkward spasms as she pushes for a quick beating to really dump more slumping heat on the struggling former champion. Huh! Bell saves the Californian pride but Katheryn still looks a little upset here!

Round 2:
Minka realizes she needs to get going fast as she gets whacked up the middle early in the second again but this time she responds to Katheryn's slugging approach and bashes over the top to connect with some Canadian flesh. Winnick's head snaps back upon impact and both veterans slug it out in the middle of the ring until they realize a potential breakthrough is unlikely so they back off which actually suits the brunette better. Kelly can settle into her rhythm while looping her shots from afar and Katheryn eventually gets swamped into a fruitless pursuit that doesn't match the American's superior mobility. Minka keeps her opponent at bay and works the southpaw stance to dig more single assault from the left while most pundits question Winnick's change of attitude in this round.

Round 3:
Dollhouse coach Kristanna Loken reminds Kat that she won't win this bout playing by Minka's rules so another heated mid-range exchange follows suit and while Minka keeps working the overhand drill, she wilts under the sustained head-hunting pressure which has the blonde barking in emotions again. Winnick really wants to put the Cal brunette down and shows an evil edge when she clocks her on the nose with a quick double that allows her to close right in and BLAST a cross on the mouth that wobbles Minka onto the ropes. For once the lithe LCA veteran doesn't escape the pressure and gets pinned into more head-hunting trouble; the one-dimensional attack allows Katheryn to wrap her opponent into an earmuff defense but that's exactly what the doctor ordered to restore some Dollhouse advantage. The ref has to pull the feisty Canadian off her prey at the bell and this charging pattern quickly resumes in...

Round 4:
...where Kat keeps blowing past the leaky high guard and neutralize the brunette's superior footwork. Minka is actually three years younger than Kat but struggles to tame the sustained assault so for all the pre-fight respect, Kat becomes a somewhat different animal in the ring as she whacks the fellow actress from both flanks and reels her into defensive circles. Even the southpaw response doesn't change Kelly's fortunes who keeps bouncing off the blonde's forearms and only connect with single-punch flesh while the Doll fighter clocks her over the top to inflict a swollen patch around the left eye come the final minute. Minka can only clinch herself into safety which triggers more angry squeals from the Canadian who complains to the ref about 'em but the ex-champion actually enjoys some benefit of the doubt as the clock runs down on her struggles. It's 39-37 Winnick after four.

Round 5:
Minka needs to push for some recovery action but remains too sluggish in her execution whereas Kat is clearly annoyed over the lack of progress around the brunette's swollen left eye. It seems like both these cougars need a quick breather so the action is a little less intense in the fifth which doesn't really play into the blonde's strenghts according to ESPN's Erin Andrews. But coach Loken keeps a close eye on her fighter potentially boiling over with anger and that's really what you don't want to see versus a wiley vet like Minka. Therefore Katheryn actually protects her scorecards' lead and reverts into single-hand assault to leave Kelly dancing around in avoidance most of the way. That won't impress any comeback-hopeful judges & fans alike whatsoever but won't physically hurt the reeling brunette either.

Round 6:
Kat finds the jabbing rhythm first but keeps bouncing off the high guard too often to reel Minka anymore and when she tries to dig some leather on the body she gets caught out with a left hook on the nose that allows the American to stack up some meaningful strikes in a rapid-fire drill afterwards. This sparks another heated exchange in the center of the ring but it's Minka who comes out on top as she carves a couple of bruises on each cheek and wobbles the blonde on her heels following a bursting cross on the chest. Ugh! Winnick bends to the side with a whimper but as she tries to smack the brunette right up, she gets NAILED with a left hook on the nose that spins her onto the ropes. She gets stuck on soft knees and fails to fend off a furious southpaw rally that has Minka drilling her midsection back & forth during the final stretch until the bell finally halts the action.

Round 7:
Winnick seeks another close range tangle but misfires with her aerial attack as Kelly rides the bendy defense to duck away from these punches and clatters into the blonde's body instead. She cripples the stunned Canadian with a heavy dose of leather around the liver area and while Katheryn tries to escape the pressure into mid-distance, she simply can't match the brunette's footwork after all. Kat runs out of space when she hits the turnbuckle and gets beaten for a cruel overhand that tears a small bloody cut over the right eye, a swift follow up then lifts her boobs and sinks her into spasms while Minka dominates the final minute with more half-uppercuts that dissect the suddenly shaky blonde guard. A belter of a shot pierces Kat's navel right at the bell and the hitherto dominant Canadian walks back to her corner in clear discomfort.

Round 8:
Minka fakes an overhand approach but grills the blonde's guts thereafter as Katheryn's mobility goes away in a hurry; she gets thumped onto her heels and struggles to connect with more than a single punch. Minka seems to be outlasting another woman thru superior physical display and she staggers the blonde into loud spasms when she whacks her on the boobs repeatedly just shy of the one-minute mark. Ugh! Kat cries out in pain and then drops her gloves just so the brunette can SMOKE her with a brutal left hook on the wounded eye... AND WINNICK GOES DOWN LIKE A SACK OF POTATOES!!! She crumbles to her side and can't stop moaning her heart out during a slow recovery. She gets up at eight but looks badly rattled yet Minka gets her chance to finish her off proper... or she doesn't? A couple of big hook smack the subdued blonde on the nose and she almost trips down on the spot... it's panic time now as she turns her back against the charging brunette who still clatters into her ribcage. Kat hald-turns again to slump on the ropes with eyes closed as Minka rips her on the jaw with an uppercut double TO FORCE THE REF INTO STOPPING THE BOUT!!! Katheryn spits out her gumshield and begs for some bottled oxygen as she's clearly in no shape to continue! TKO8 Minka Kelly!!!

AFTER: That's a tough loss for the Canadian who looked to be back on elite course following the win over Olivia Wilde on the last Doll Ball however even a slumping Minka Kelly is notoriously difficult to put away! Or maybe she's not slumping anymore at all? She offers the breathless blonde a quick hug but reality eventually takes over and poor Katheryn can barely contain her emotions as she slumps into a sobbing mess in Kristanna Loken's embrace. This defeat could set her back again and it's a criminal let off considering the early promise. She had Minka under her heel for large parts but still came up short once the brunette channelled some JMD wrath and pounded the blonde across the jugs: "Bella should have told me she might do this! Grrr... I had her right where I wanted her and...”

"...and you lost! Better luck next time!", Minka joins in the Dollhouse funeral and has a personal message to Bella as well but that is for coach Loken's ears only! "Jessica Lowndes tells me Bella is a real bytch and I kinda know that myself but I hope you guys buy me some Irish whiskey tonight!" she laughs.

Coach Loken's in no mood to share the brunette's jokes and ponders whether Katheryn's elite window has closed following this defeat?
