Before: Neve reacting to the oohs and aahs accompanying Jolene’s ripped and shredded weigh-in: “Girl’s in shape--what can I say? Just because she’s buff doesn’t mean she’s up to taking punishment--we’ll see how she handles it. A lot of people are saying I’m tailor-made for her, but I don’t see how she’s gong to compete when we’re inside. I make this my fight and I’ll take it to her.” Blalock not a big talker out of the ring, shunning the press for the most part, but everyone knows what she’s all about: boxing big right hands and lanky leverage ion the power shots. Campbell in cerulean blue bikini, Jolene in clingy mauve spaghetti strap sport op, bikini bottoms.

During R1: Jolene in wide stance, commanding midring, tight hand loose at her chest, left low and jabbing--chin’s out there, but she’s adjusting distance with body lean, using her rangy build to give Neve problems. Blalock stepping in the stick, then rocking back on the heel of her front foot, weight on the back leg--Neve’s whistling hooks coming up short, leaving her available for the walloping right hand as Blalock leans back forward. End of the first minute, Jolene drops a thick right hand onto Neve’s left ear--Campbell sent sputtering sideways as blonde walks her down. Blalock limber with the left jabbing, setting a hook, rocking back out of range and easing to her left in a graceful pivot as Neve misses rhe right cross. Campbell crouching, reaching to get at the chin, but Blalock’s cobra-sway keeps confounding her, setting her up for crashing rights on the jaw. Midway through, Blalock swings a wide right off Neve’s forehead, stunning the brunette, leaving her vulnerable to a licking hook on the chin and CAMPBELL GOES DOWN! Neve sent rolling to her back, up on elbows with a shellacked expression--she beats the count, but OH--the hurt! Blalock expressionless as she moves in, pushes the jab, rocks back, rocks forward with that vicious slinging right, hangs around on the front foot to crank a Hearns-like hook up underneath--Campbell buckling, cradling herself against the ropes as Jolene gets the lather going. Blalock  putting it all together, rifling right hands, the little backfist right to set up a swinging hook to belly, the little extended left elbow to set up the next walloping right. Campbell just getting CREAMED by punches and finally going limp, hands drooping as she tilts over her feet. Jolene propping Neve up a helpful left in the chest, stabilizing her for a series of lethal right hands down onto the left jaw line to finally drive Campbell face first to canvas! It’s SO over--KO1 Jolene Blalock.

After: Blalock unleashing lightweight power out of gangly, fat-free frame--horrific KO make “FCBA’s GREATEST KO’s Vol. III” DVD (available in time for Xmas). Campbell out got many long tense moments, carefully attended and rolled gently to her back--it’s a sickening sight, Blalock smiling coolly, drinking from a water bottle--she’s every inch the assassin she’s been built up to be tonight--one of the best pure punching performances of the year.
