Before: Jovovich a frequent client-fighter of the Krushers, when she’s not an outright card-carrying member: word on the street is her nose’s out of joint regarding Abbie. “When the fight was signed, Milla was delighted,” says an anonymous source close to MJ, :She thought it was all about her getting a PPV spot--and a showcase against a debuting fighter to boot. But then it was clear that Abbie was kind of getting the ‘eye’ from Krusher corporate. She’s been given gym-access--she’s sparred with Jewel in preparation for Carla--you know, things have been pretty cozy with Abbie, Milla’s always benefited from a close association with the Krushers in the past, and she doesn’t like the thought of a new-blonde-on-the-block horning in. It’s looking a little personal--at least on Milla’s part,” Jovovich with shoulder-length brown curls; tan western motif bikini with fringes; tan sheepskin punching mittens. Abbie donning Melissa Georges white crochet bikini from “Turistas” (reportedly loaned free of charge by Mel in a display of blonde solidarity); tan sheepskin punching mittens. “Ready to get pasted?” Milla shouts during ref’s instructions: Cornish just scowling back, refusing to be baited.

R1: Milla agile, legging ‘round the ring, showing her athletic credentials by circling with pretty hops and pivots about her blonde. Abbie wary: sensing Milla’s faster/more dynamic--Cornish keeping her dukes up, staying grounded, turning on the spot to stay square to the target. Jovovich at play--lots of sniping lead right hands off feints; spitting triple jabs as Milla purses her lips and frowns on delivery; shooting, straight lead rights down into Abbie’s flat stomach. Jovovich showing no respect--able to get her touches and bounce out of range before any Cornish receipt, Easy-breezy touch-and-go shutout, Jovo. Abbie to her corner for the break; Milla follows, puts her foot up in the ropes as though they were a ballet-bar and proceeds to stretch out like a ballerina--mere feet away from the Cornish corner. Brazen leg display has Abbie howling in protest on her stool: ref leads bratty brunette away by the arm.

R2: Abbie resolute, listening to her trainer. Slower than Jovo, Abbie pumps the jab actively looking to channel and control if she can’t compete directly. Recognizing Jovovich’s world-class legs--Abbie edges in to work the body--lowering her head and  chugging away with sheepskin FUMP-FUMP against Jovovich’s tasty ribs. Milla scornful  of the attacks, but her output’s down: Jovovich doing a lot more dancing, less pouncing-in this round as Abbie turns aggressor.

R3: Abbie’s jab: all business; right hand at her cheek as she tr5husts out the left from shoulder height; stepping in with the poke. Milla parrying Abbie’s stick with disdain--swatting it out of the air and dancing around: Jovovich negligent with her hand position, trusting her legs to keep her safe. Milla dazzling when she wants to be--frequently scoring with lead rights from a standing start well out of range: Cornish just not used to the abrupt speed at which Milla operates. Still--Abbie’s methodical ribwork, sturdy blocking guard and plucky heart sees her come forward, slowly cutting off the ring. Down the stretch, Abbie absorbs a body shot; answers back a clubbing right to chin, a spitting jab and a biting hook: Milla legs out the round, forfeiting the points as Cornish walks her brunette down at the bell.

R4: Ho-hum round for Mila--but she controls negotiations with her legs, keeping up a steady hopping tempo, Bouncing in and out--Milla’s fetching Abbie potshot right hands: Cornish blocking well, but forgetting her jab as Milla starts to showboat. Cornish still doing yeoman’s work to brunette ribcage on occasion: Abby lowering her head, digging away with chugging rights and lefts, forcing Mila to disengage. During the break--Abbie takes a seat on her stool” just a few feet away, Milla’s standing with hands on hips, proud glutes humming in tan trunks as Jovovich gives Cornish’s corner the rear view. Abbie outraged--up off her stool again: ref sorts Cornish out, then escorts Milla to her corner, telling her to “knock it off”.

R5: When Abbie jabs with conviction, steps in, and thumps the body--good things happen. Milla visibly grimacing for the first time--coming off the balls of her feet and earmuffing up as Abbie digs in underneath. Milla pivoting away, flicking s don’t-hurt-me jab at Abbie: Cornish ignoring it, punching her own stiff stick at Milla’s mouth and stepping into brunette midsection with short right hands. Jovovich routinely rooted iout of her position: she’ll trade body to body with Abbie, but then it’s usually a brunette retreat as Jovo looks a little winded. Abbie cutting off the ring, clearly making the fight, discouraging her girl through 5.

R6: Jovovich pulling herself together, catching a second wind: she outclasses Abbie this round. Mila standing her ground, luring Abbie forward, then timing her stuff, but predictable blonde jab: Jovovich over-topping it with crisp, chopping right hands, ringing off chin. Abbie weathering the counter-shots well, but taking too many of them: Milla able to sidestep after scoring, keeping her ribs free of Abbie’s chugging dukes. Shutout Milla: she’s setting down, getting some good looks at Cornish’s chin through 6.

R7: BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Jovovich timing Abbie’s jab, drops that vicious pull-counter right bingo on the chin: Cornish staggering to all fours I shock. Abbie up at b8, but weak-kneed: real gut-check for the kid as veteran brunette paces neutral corner, glaring out through hooded eyes. Resume: Jovovich in with a snarl--TORRID beat down ensues as Abbie covers up butt-ion-ropes. DIGGING left uppercuts to the body, Milla to Abbie--gut wrenching blasts as Jovo arches her back and rips into sternum. Abbie shuddering, refusing to go down: Milla works on the blonde’s lower back, swabbing away merciless until ref pushes-in. Shaking off the warning, Jovovich gets back on, shredding Cornish as blonde leans back in earmuff, clearly a-swoon, Jovo punishes the breasts, stamping away straight criss-cross, humbling Cornish before re-targeting  the face. Seconds drag past--Milla unLOADING on poor Abbie--brunette just pasting away, shifting weight between her feet as both fists slash away. ABBIE WON’T GO DOWN! All though the second minute--blonde obviously out on her feet, but refusing to bend the knee: she sits in ropes, stopped forward behind her mitts, grunting from body work; occasionally, her head jerks up and around, her guard growing limp. Give Milla credit--most girls punch themselves out at this rate; SHE starts the third minute more savage than the first, just POURNG the hurt to Abbie. Jovo working in behind Abbie’s left elbow with vicious right hands off the right foot; Jovo reaching in to stack deadweight blonde, then pulling Abbie’s arms down the better to paste her face. Down the stretch, Abbie loose, defenseless, just swaying at the ropes with eyelashes fluttering: Jovo puts together a glorious series of chopping, hammer-drop rights and lefts--each and every one strike Abbie’s slumbering face like clockwork. Cornish beaten senseless, falls back against the ropes and slides to her buttocks, legs out front of her in a 45 degrees angle V. Poor Abbie! Battered blonde still awake, trying to knuckle-push her way up off her glutes, but she’s just too punished, KO7 in bitter fashion--Milla Jovovich.

After: Charlize Theron herself standing and giving her spitting-image blonde boisterous applause: Cornish goes out on her shield, but proves more than pesky to the vastly more experienced Milla J. Jovovich still snarling and tense in postfight; she comes for a still-woozy Cornish, hauling the blonde off her stool and pulling her about the ring for a seething walk of shame. Boos from knowledgeable crowd: Abbie gave a good account of herself--she deserves better than to paraded all stunned and pummeled about the ring. Jovovich’s accuracy and startling athleticism overshadowed by her meanspiritedness on the evening.
