Before: Charlize upbeat in press conferences - her first since regaining the long-sought lightweight titles - she can't wait to get this first defence under way. "A lot of girls would have waited for Kelly to cool off before facing her," says Charlize. "Me? I consider myself the cooler. This is a girl who has laid Jenny O'Dell, Katherine Heigl AND Jennifer Garner on their backs - decisively punched her way up the rankings: as champion I have to recognize that. This is a girl who doesn't know she can't hurt me - doesn't know she's outclassed, and I love that about her. I'm expecting the fight of my life against Kelly Brook."

Kelly Brook one of the feel good stories of the FCBA. A regional talent in Britain, she spent her own money to come to the States, fight on the beach and learn a true pro style. Picked up a management contract, took hard beatings and won hard-fought victories, scrapped and scrambled until finally coming into her own by besting stable mate Jeri Ryan jug to jug. "After that," recalls Brook of that seminal confrontation, "I feel like I've reached a new level. I punch harder than any woman on the circuit and I feel I'm beating a lot of girls on the scales when they first see me in the flesh. I've worked SO hard with Jeri in camp for this fight - no one knows Charlize' chin like Jeri Ryan and we've mapped out every segment of this fight in advance. Make no mistake: I'm beating Charlize with power, but also with consistency. Don't pick me to simply knock her out: bet me to win rounds and punish this girl. I'm leaving Charlize in rags when I'm done and I'm taking her titles!" Charlize in cream bikini, Kelly in hot pink push up and panties - white gloves both vixens.

During R1: Charlize loose, limber, hopping the perimeter, changing directions - just introducing Kelly to the wonder of Theron's legs. Brook compact, right at her chin, stepping into her jab, just trying to locate the champ. Minute mark - Charlize loping to her right, fades Kelly's jab, drops that snap-counter right hand short and sharp to Brook's chin - brunette a-jiggle, ponytrotting on the spot THEN GOING TO ALL FOURS! Delayed reaction puts Kelly dazed on all fours: puts a regal smile of satisfaction on Charlize face - champ struts to neutral corner, takes a grand bow as crowd roars in approval. Kelly up at 8, shaking her pretty head, nodding aggressively yes to the ref and ON COMES CHARLIZE! Theron storming over, looking to lay on finishing lather, but BROOK WON'T HAVE IT! Kelly planted strong, drilling right hands up the middle and busting CT in the chops - Theron has to give ground, regroup midring. Brook resumes stalking late, shaking off Charlize' shot - Theron all leggy, feinting and backhanding her jab against Kelly's underbelly to run the clock.

R2: Brook not discouraged from jabbing, still banging it out there, but mixing in lead rights as well, or doubling up the jab to make it harder to time. Charlize hands low, pulling back from Brook's punches, just trying to calculate distance. Midway through, Brook closes gap with the stiff double jab at CT's lips, follows up a banging right hand chaser: Charlize walks away to her right, shaking her head 'No' at Kelly, then promptly steps in a fence post hole and staggers around bewildered with hurt! Kelly immediately jabbing Charlize to body, then walloping her righty up top - Theron driven to ropes, hands up as she leans back woozy and Brook breaks out the baseball bat. Kelly crouching, setting up on CT's chest - brunette bashing away lefts and rights to the hips, waist and ribcage, applying the steady, consistent stroke she promised in prefight. Theron leaning forward and back, protecting her head - Kelly allowed to romp to torso, pinning Charlize down with stabilizing jabs; belting her some unforgiving rights to salt away a shutout second.

R3: Charlize hopping to midring, licking a lead right hand to Kelly's pampered tummy, slashing a left across bulging jug, backhanding the left across Kelly's chin and chopping the right quick behind to double-tap the jaw. Brook covering up, marching through it and jabbing back forcefully into CT's chest - blonde forced to step back, lift her mitts, sacrificing ribcage as Brook sweeps a gorgeous right hand under the elbows. Theron stepping right, snarling as she slashes lead rights, swiping hooks in flurries - Brook answering with grim straight jabs, heavy right hands to body and forward pressure. Midway through, girls trade cuffing hooks on the chin, bend into right hands and CHARLIZE WOBBLES TO ONE KNEE! Brook bending in and down, beating Theron to punch - brunette straightens, nostrils flaring as she looms over dazed champion. Charlize pushing against Brook's thighs as ref moves in - Theron takes 8 at the ropes, covers up and sags into ropes as BROOK WADES IN! Kelly bangs out the round with Charlize woozy, slumping on the strands - Theron's eyelashes fluttering, Theron's hands reaching to issue fight's first clinches as Kelly rampages to the bell. Brook chests up, breathing hot taunt into CT's face: champ just blinking back in stupor, looking startled, bedraggled through 3.

R4: Charlize leggy, loose limbed, carrying her hands low and dragging supple punches across Kelly with a slinging, slicing delivery. Theron fighting well in reverse, showing her educated feet - more than once she fades a Brook right hand just right, causing Kelly to misfire and topple forward awkwardly. CT gliding to her right or left with equal agility - outclassing Kelly below the waist. Blonde showcasing her jab to Kelly's chest - shoving the left hand flat against overflowing rack with satisfying SHUMP. Brook grim, stalking, getting tarted up but never backing off, just walking Charlize down. Final moments, Charlize retreating to ropes, executes a half-pivot to her left, looking to turn Brook - Kelly lunges in a cleaving right hand clean over CT's low left mitt and DROPS THERON TO HER BACK! Crowd roaring to it's feet - Theron stretched out, staring waxily at the lights - she's SO hurt! CT rolls stiffly to her right, throws her left hand over the bottom rope and struggles up off canvas in the nick. Ref checking Theron closely while wiping her gloves against his shirt: eyelashes fluttering, lips parted - she's out on her feet at the bell.

R5: Brook wades into Charlize, encounters fierce resistance as blonde changes her look, digs in flat footed and looks to answer beefy. Both girls in strong stances, dukes up eyebrow high, range close but not smothering: both vixens want room to get off hard. Girls chopping jabs to pierce the other's guard, then trying to fit the right hand in. CT cuter in there, pivoting to the left or right, staying close, but turning her girl, making Kelly move her feet. CT more accurate - ringing Kelly up again and again with busting one-twos at close range: Brook's punches mostly blocked or slipped. Midway through, CT rings Brook up one-two, dips, mops up a choice left uppercut bingo on the chin and BROOK TAKES A KNEE! Kelly's eyes moist - limbs all tingly - she's up at 8, swaying hurt, now every bit as ramshackle as the champ. Theron wades in, palming Kelly's shoulders and spreading her out against the ropes, then CT APPLIES HAM! Charlize getting big - stabilizing Kelly the left in the chest, drifting her the right on the mouth, shoving Kelly-to and labeling her the left. Brook getting loose - arms flapping against Charlize as she receives sock - eyes glazing over. Job of work for Theron - just strapping on the hurt, heaving Brook back into the ropes when she slumps and pouring on more shellack and KELLY GOES DOWN! Crowd groaning in sympathy - Kelly Brook soaks up the worst beating of her career, finally drooping to all fours - but SHE WON'T STAY DOWN! Theron watches awestruck from neutral corner as Kelly beats the count, lolls back into ropes all busted up and makes it to the bell.

R6: Charlize spends a round on Kelly's face, patiently busting brunette up, breaking her down a little bit more. CT back up on her toes, giving Brook plenty of lateral movement - oily jab up off the hip, striking Kelly's woozy face, spanking it back all blinking and sleepy. Charlize occasionally banging out the odd lead right straight off her shoulder - pounding blows catching Kelly between the eyes, knocking her knees together. Brook trudging, coming forward drowsy - she can't close ground, can't cut off the ring as Theron banks a methodical shutout.

R7: Kelly's face a mess, eyes puffy, lips swollen, but she's proving rugged - catching a second wind and pressing behind her jab this round. Theron getting tagged stick, head banging back - she comes down off her bicycle and squares up more this round as girls bump shoulders, rub tousle at close quarters. Brook turning over her hook in close, clouting Charlize about the ear, then clubbing the right hand to temple - Kelly still landing with shocking force. Theron using her body more now - easing into Kelly, then easing out to let Brook fall forward - blonde picking up counter-uppercuts on the cheap, stepping right and getting come-along hooks across Kelly's open mouth. Sweaty, slogging stuff - girls just flat footed, tromping around each other - Charlize separates herself late with a flat, clouting right on the mouth that dislodges Brook's mouthpiece, leaves her staring with hurt at the bell.

R8: Charlize jab-jabbing up from her hip, then easing her left shoulder into Brook's chest - blonde pressing up and trying to muscle Kelly as Brook wades forward. Kelly desperately hurt, form a little ragged, but she's still fitting thick right hands in above Charlize' left hip or behind the ear. Tired vixens falling into one another's arms more often now - struggling to budge the other back - it's murky, staggering stuff. Midway through, Kelly grappling and writhing with Char inside, fits a tasty uppercut onto Theron's chin - Charlize doesn't like it. CT backing straight up to disengage - Brook steps-with, leans into a crashing right hand and CATCHES CHARLIZE ON THE BUTTON! DOWN GOES CHARLIZE! DOWN GOES CHARLIZE! Crowd roaring up out of its seats as CT thunders to her back, head bouncing hard off canvas - she's all stretched out and helpless! Ref shouting out the count - Brook stalking to neutral corner chest heaving - Charlize rolling to her right shoulder, rolling to her left shoulder, trying to fight off the KO and CHARLIZE BEATS THE COUNT! CT up off the mat REELING with shock - she's badly, badly hurt with a minute left on the clock. ON COMES BROOK! Kelly palming CT's shoulders, stacking her up, then clouting her hook-on-chin, left uppercut on chin, RIGHT HAND ON CHIN! CT draping back over the ropes, then lolling forward, stooped forward to receive a meanspirited brace of jug-mugging rights and lefts as Brook chugs away. Kelly just on Charlize, working her, working her, beating her breasts as she droops forward, clanging away to chin as she lolls back. Bell: Charlize out on her feet, staring, blinking - Brook wandering away wobbly butt, exhausted - both girls dreadfully hurt at this point.

R9: Tottering beauties struggle up off stools, stumble into each other, both girls badly broken down at this point. Fight consists of steadying the opponent, lining her up, then clouting her skull and Charlize is getting the best of it! Woozy fumbling and grappling gives way to Theron drifting Brook righty-on-the-chin, then shoving Kelly off - it's ramshackle blonde walking woozy brunette down as Brook can't answer! Heartbreaking stuff - Brook too proud to go down, but her legs won't hold canvas - Charlize stepping-to her, jostling and propping her, then busting her righty and pushing her away. Final minute - Charlize stabilizing Kelly at the ropes, shoving her upright then steadily, methodically, going to that rack with moist, short, side to side clubbing lefts and rights. Theron turning into the blows, finishing up shoulder on breast, then coming back the other way. Brook just mute with jug-shock, staring, mouth open - she rides a limp left or right arm around Charlize' shoulders as she receives the blows - blonde shoving up to square away and reset the table. Bell: exhausted Charlize falls in and clinches around Brook's ribcage, just letting brunette feel the weight. Kelly sobbing, trying to push her way free as ref takes a hand.

R10: Brook on her stool during the break: head back, looking parched, drained. Theron getting vigorous thigh massage as trainer barks "Who's hurt?" Charlize mumbling "Kelly's hurt...Kelly's hurt" in unconvincing fashion. At the bell, respective trainers have to reach under their girls' arms from behind and heave the fighters to their feet - slaps on opposing rumps direct fighters forward as battered automatons stumble back into the fray. First two minutes, groggy Brook beating woozy Charlize to punches - tepid jabs bumping Char's face, ruining her punches, firm right hands clanging onto chin, swiveling that Oscar winning noggin. Theron on her heels, staring sleepily, pushing back late leather - Kelly scoring to the face, driving Charlize ever backward. Final minute - flat footed vixens trade shuddering hooks amidships, clocking rights on the chin - as both reel crazy-hurt, Charlize gets the extra hook on Kelly's chin to torque sexy British skull around on loose neck. Brook wobbly butt, extending her hands in a plaintive don't-hurt-me push - Theron wades in, lifting lefts and rights off her hips and shoving them into Kelly's face, buffeting her back into ropes. Kelly out on her feet, no longer defending herself - Charlize squaring away, willing herself to pour on. Crisscross lefts and rights pound past Kelly's limp guard - Charlize punching like she's got sandbags on her fists - pancaking Kelly's sagging jugs, dropping the fist down waist-high on follow through and shoving the other mitt home. Bell: Brook soaking up somnambulant: Charlize robotically pushing leather into her foe until ref bodies her gently off. Goes to the cards: comes back close, but unanimous for the winner and STILL lightweight champ - Charlize Theron!

After: Second fight in a row Charlize has been beaten to a mindless pulp, forced to will herself to victory over a spent and battered brunette. Kelly blubbering to herself, tenderly coaxed to her stool and ministered to: Theron all busted up, tottering, but gracious enough to pour some extra salt in her foe's wounds in postfight. "Whoa, brings back memories of my old Cardiac Charlize days, doesn't it?" Theron jokes with press. "You know, once bodies start hitting canvas, it's a crap shoot. You just have to keep trying to win - that's the main thing - even though you're hurt, she's hurt too and you just have to keep plugging. Kelly's not used to seeing girls shake off her right hand - that really discouraged her, seeing me get off my back and deny her like that. I broke her in the fourth - not because I was winning the fight or even hurting her at that point - but because I just refused to give in to her power. She saw that and quit - just like Jeri Ryan used to."
