Before:

Tonight, two of the FCBA’s top bantamweights meet in the ring for a rubber-match. Elizabeth Olsen and Kira Kosarin have meet twice before, with Kira taking the first fight in 2019 while Elizabeth took the second fight in 2020. Both brunettes know each other and respect the other’s abilities, all while knowing that whoever wins this fight may very well get a shot for the title.

“Kira’s been nothing less than sensational,” Olsen is the first girl to speak as she compliments her foe, “She’s 23 and has 33 wins. She’s held the title. But I’m going to prove that I still can compete and I’ll beat whoever I need to for a title chance.”

“What can I say, Lizzie’s been on a roll, even with a loss,” Kira says. “While I want her to get her title chance, I’m looking for another reign. Liz is in my way, and I am going to beat her and get another reign.”

With that, they two girls wish the other good luck and go their separate ways until the fight.

Elizabeth is the first girl to make her way to the ring, taking a moment to absorb the atmosphere of the big fight before stepping towards the ring. She takes off her robe to reveal a red sports bra and black trunks with black gloves. Moments later, Kira makes her way to the ring, and the younger brunette takes off her robe to reveal a blue bikini set with orange gloves. The two girls touch gloves and off we go for ten rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Kira and Elizabeth start by circling each other, both knowing that the victor of this fight may very well get a title opportunity. Kira looks to leverage her extra reach early, and she bullies Elizabeth around the ring early, hammering blows into the smaller actress’ body. Olsen does her best to counter where she can, hitting Kosarin back in her ribs, but the bigger brunette gets Olsen into the ropes early. Lizzie can’t clinch as Kira’s reach is too much for her, but she fakes escaping to the right and goes left, getting back out into the middle of the ring. Lizzie hits two strikes into Kira’s flank before the younger girl turns and Olsen backs off. Kira chases after Liz, again working her reach to her advantage, but the veteran Olsen keeps her guard rock solid and doesn’t take any more punishment before the round ends. The first round goes to Kosarin on points.

Round 2:
The second round starts the same as the first, and Kira has the edge again early, the younger actress slipping in a right early on that knocks Elizabeth backwards. Olsen does a good job of keeping her guard up, but she knows it’ll take more than solid defense to win the fight, and she finds a solid right into Kosarin’s body. The younger brunette tries to counter with a right, but the older girl evades and snaps her head backwards with a right and Kira goes into the ropes. Lizzie bounds after her and slams a left into Kira’s gloves before hitting her body with a left. Kosarin looks for a way to get out of the ropes and she does, but not before Olsen hits her with a right that sends her careening backwards. She plants her feet and keeps the smaller girl at bay to the bell, but the wily vet in Olsen evens everything up after two rounds.

Round 3:
Both girls seem to have settled into the fight, with the third being a more even series of exchanges from the start. Kosarin has found a consistent rhythm for abusing her extra reach while Olsen has found an opening to get counterpunches off, hitting Kira back and even getting a solid strike into her foe’s chin. Kosarin stays up though and wards Olsen off with a right jab. Lizzie avoids it and hits Kira back with a left, but that’s all she can do before Kosarin tags her in the chest. Olsen backs off and Kosarin pursues her around the ring, carefully probing the smaller actress’ guard, but not able to break through it. For her part, Olsen finds the odd window to hit Kira back in her ribs when she can, and the bell rings without either girl truly connecting with any big blows before they return to their respective corners.

Round 4:
Olsen changes strategies to start the fourth, opting for a more hit and run fighting style, and it pays off early – she sticks Kosarin with a quick right and backs off, only to shift positions and tag Kira right beneath her right eye. Kira slightly connects with a right in response, but it doesn’t stop Liz from repositioning again and landing two straight blows into Kira’s head and knocking her into the ropes. Kira protects her head just in time to block a right from Elizabeth, and the younger actress quickly clinches to prevent a further follow-up. The referee separates the two women and when the action resumes, Kira is much more defensive. Olsen still is playing the hit and run game, but Kosarin is starting to catch on and finds two good ribshots on the smaller actress, forcing her backwards. The round comes to an end and both girls go back to their corners, with Olsen taking the round on points, wide.

Round 5:
Lizzie is hitting her stride as the fifth starts, the Avenger finding opportunities to get around Kira’s guard early and stinging the younger girl with a right hook to the jaw. Olsen follows up with a left that splits Kosarin’s guard and allows the Fates girl to drill a quick follow-up one-two right-left combo into Kira’s chin and down goes Kosarin in the first minute! Olsen quickly retreats to a neutral corner as the ref starts his count. Kira rolls off of her back and onto her stomach as she moves her limbs around, looking to get to all fours. She gets there at the count of five, pulls herself to one knee, then stands up to beat the count. The ref checks in on her and waves Olsen back in, and the more experienced fighter obliges. Lizzie again is able to hit Kira’s body, but Kosarin is fast on both her counterpunches and her clinches, limiting what Olsen can do before the round ends. It’s another round to Lizzie on points, wide, thanks to the first knockdown of the fight.

Round 6:
The two girls still seem to have plenty of energy for the back half of the fight, and Lizzie dances around Kira, hitting her body and making the younger girl wince. Kosarin keeps herself collected and hits Olsen back in her torso. The two girls get wrapped up and the referee separates them, then lets the action resume. Olsen goes for a haymaker, but Kosarin evades the blow and sticks a short strike into her foe’s chin, knocking the veteran backwards and making her unsteady, if only for a brief moment. Kosarin chases after Olsen and tags her in her ribs, returning some of the body shots she took earlier in the round. Elizabeth tries to return fire, but Kira’s cleverly kept the Avenger at a distance. Lizzie can’t jab Kira back until she closes the distance. The bell rings to send the two girls to their corners, and Kira comes back after getting knocked down.

Round 7:
Liz and Kira start out the seventh round by circling each other, both knowing the other girl’s tendencies. Kira bobs to her right and shoots out a jab at Elizabeth – but the Fates girl predicts the move and drills Kira with a right hook to her jaw! Kosarin wobbles on her feet as Olsen charges forward, unleashing a devastating trio of punches that all find their mark and down goes Kosarin! It’s another knockdown for Lizzie as Kosarin’s legs buckled and she falls down onto the mat. Olsen goes to a neutral corner as the ref starts to count again. Kira moves her arms around and quickly gets to all fours, pausing at the count of five to catch her breath before finally lifting herself up at seven.

Kira pushes through the ref who allows Olsen to continue, and Lizzie fires off four straight shots into Kosarin’s body. Kira knows she can’t take much more of Liz’s blows and fires off a crisp right that catches Elizabeth right in her mouth, briefly stunning her, and that’s all Kira needs. The battered girl crushes two quick blows into Olsen’s jaw and down goes Lizzie! Two knockdowns in two minutes in the seventh, and now Kira’s the one who can go to a corner and watch her opponent. Olsen rolls onto her stomach from her back, shaking her head as she gets to all fours and lifts herself up with the help of the ropes. The referee checks in on her and determines she can continue, and waves Kira back in.

Olsen keeps her gloves up as Kosarin advances and peppers it with strikes, but the Avenger’s guard holds. Lizzie drops back and plants her feet before finding a right into Kira’s body, drawing a grunt out of Kosarin. Olsen lines up a left – but nobody’s home as Kosarin ducks at the last second and comes back with an uppercut that dazes Olsen! Lizzie stumbles back into the ropes and it’s only the second rope that saves her from an embarrassing knockdown – but now her issue is Kira who is just unloading haymakers into Olsen. Lizzie’s gloves get battered into her face as Kosarin busts open the brunette’s guard and starts taking shots at Olsen’s head AND THE REF STEPS IN! Lizzie sags further into the ropes, and your winner by a savage TKO7, Kira Kosarin!

After:
Kira raises her arms in triumph and lets out a dominant shout, having just taken down one of the top girls in the division and putting her name at the title picture with it. Meanwhile, the Fates crew gently help a semi-conscious Elizabeth to a stool, but even in her dazed state she knows it was a devastating loss that takes her out of title contention and takes her even further away from that elusive bantamweight belt. Kosarin goes over to check on Olsen, and the two embrace, with Olsen visibly holding back tears. Kira helps her to her feet and raises her arm, drawing applause from the crowd before the two go their separate ways.

“Lizzie will be back, that much I’m sure of.” Kira tells the press, “As for me, I’m looking forward to who wants me next.” With that, Kosarin leaves having put herself solidly into the title picture.

Elizabeth Olsen talks to the press shortly afterwards, wiping a tear from her eye as she gets in front of the mics, “Well,” the vet pauses. “As many times as I’ve had to do this, it never gets easier. Obviously, Kira fought great. I knocked her down twice and she got up both times. I just have to be better. It’s tough, to feel like you’ve finally broken through after over 60 fights in the FCBA, are in the title picture, and can’t get there.” Another tear streams down her cheek, “It’s just devastating.” A sob escapes the actress and she leaves the press to wonder if she can come back.
