Unified Lightweight Title

Before: HISC pulling a swerve, showing Garner, then bringing Warren - how much has the bait-and-switch effected Charisma? "We had to retool my entire camp," Carpenter admits. "Warren's a long boxer/puncher in a Romijn or Theron mold - doesn't attack the body the way a Jen Garner would have - it's a completely different fight. It won't be an easier fight however - Warren's a serious threat in her own way." Estella coming down to lightweight, making modelling weight for the first time since her SI days - will that be a factor?

"I was an athlete before I was a model," Estella shrugs, "I'm used to making weight strong - I actually feel great at lightweight. I saw some things in the Theron fight - things that were working for Charlize before she went away from them - and I think I can employ them to good use. I've got a great chance to take a title here and I'm not going to blow it."

Charisma in sporty black two piece (old Aristide reference), Black triangle-cut bikini, Warren.

During R1: Carpenter sets up ropeside: left shoulder pointed at Estella, left across the gut, right up at the chin - she's ready to roll, parry and counter. Warren well outside, stooping to jab the gut or available left tit, then scooting to the right, circling back to reset. Cat and mouse - Carpenter sitting in the pocket, looking to swat Estella check-hooks about the temple - Warren stabbing CC to the body and scooting to the side. Estella takes points, using her height and legs - she's not as headstrong as Theron, ignoring Carpenter's attempts to lure her into more meaningful brawling.

R2: Warren patient, ignoring the boos - she's happy to stab-and-scoot, pestering, touching, harassing Charisma at the ropes. CC scowling, trying to time Warren but blonde just too lanky and good - time and again Estella tags tit and tummy, occasionally the left bicep - good healthy, scoring pokes. Charisma coming up short and late on her right hands, twisting 'em sneaky from the screened stance off the ropes: Warren well-schooled, legs out of range with a cool smile. Bell: CC frowning, thoughtful - Estella fighting disciplined, has that critical early points lead over a counterpuncher, forcing a re-think in the Carpenter corner.

R3: CC attacking behind her jab, leading more, meeting Warren midring. Estella jabbing to chest, leading with her hook and trying to hatchet-chop her right hand to CC's skull - girls falling in during sudden, brisk collisions. Carpenter will deft side to side head-movement, weaving Warren's stick and countering with clubbing lefts or rights to jaw - bit by bit she works blonde to ropes, switching tack to ribcage with gusto. CC fighting off Warren's chest late - Estella riding her palms on Charisma's shoulders, controlling Carpenter's head - Charis putting punches together. Abrupt burst of lefs and rights starts in Warren's waist, rips uptorso and finishes with a clanging hook on the chops that buckles Estella's knees - Warren skidding left along the ropes with a stunned expression, takes another clobbering left upside the head to PUT HER ON ALL FOURS! E shaking her head, panting, gets to her feet at the bell as CC evens up the cards with plan B.

R4,5: Role reversal continues - Carpenter bobbing and weaving, lifting a snappy jab off her hip, making Warren miss then tagging her sudden lefts and rights on the jaw, fighting off the chest to dress up that waist in combination. Warren staying tall, trying to find CC with the jab, then drill her the cross - but blonde's best, nastiest shot probably the mop-up hook raked across breast or belly: CC just too sneaky to hit flush with right hands. Crowd-pleasing back and forth, high tempo stuff - girls coming together, disengaging - Carpenter walking Warren down, constantly compressing distance - Estella circling, looking to create distance. Charisma gets her way in the fourth, Warren the boss in the fifth - both rounds close.

R6: Early action, CC bends into a looping right, drawing oohs from the crowd and a halo of sweat from Estella on impact. Warren dismayed, backing off - CC crouching, stepping-with and punching brawny to the chin - clubbing lefts and rights put Warren upright and ropeside. Estella covers up dukes-at-temple but Carpenter fits a perfect left uppercut between the uprights, picking Warren's drowsy face up, then CRIPPLING the challenger a perfect short-swiping hook in the liver. Estella cringing forward - CC helps her out with a gutting right behind the elbow, then back to that hook - just a-REEFING at blonde flank and innards. CC tight-lipped, hardhearted: right at her chest as she cranks vicious hooks, targetting Warren's hip, thigh flexor, waist - Estella trembling, wilting. CC mixes in kidney and poor Estella's in a bad way, reaching to clinch around Carpenter's knees and thighs before drooping to all fours. Estella badly gutshot, grimacing in agony - she tries to stand but only succeeds in crawling a few feet forward by the count of 10. KO6 to the body, Charisma Carpenter.

After: Carpenter all grins, turning back another lanky blonde challenger with a vicious chopping attack to the body - CC growing more regal with each outing. "She was more disciplined than Charlize," Carpenter assesses in postfight, "but not as durable - Theron took those body shots all night, even when she was basically finished. Warren quit a little once I started breaking her down - I don't think she expected me to be as heavy handed as I was."

Warren classy enough to offer a few words in defeat. "She hits like a welter, especially to the body," Estella admits ruefully, "I just couldn't breathe after that liver shot - it was a perfect punch - what're you going to do? Plus, she was hitting me in the back, hitting me in the leg - she doesn't miss a trick. Her punch didn't surprise me so much as her fouling - Charisma Carpenter is no goody-two-shoes in the ring and I think it's time people started holding her accountable for that stuff."
