BEFORE: "I feel like I've taken the measure of Nadia Bjorlin," Mandy says in prefight, "It's time to move on and get some work done on Amanda: controlling those two is key to controlling the division. From what I've seen, I know my right hand can get Righetti in trouble, so that's a definite key. She's a very dangerous fighter, but I see holes in her game. I'm looking forward to exploiting the chinks in her armor." Righetti catching a little media-heat in the wake of shocking upset losses to Sarah Lancaster: it's time to put the hammer down. "I'm just going to say it," Amanda says at podium: "Moore's twice the fighter Sarah Lancaster is, and I'm going to beat Mandy helpless. I'm so disgusted by what happened against Sarah, that someone has to pay - and pay dearly: unfortunately for Mandy - she's the one holding the bill." Moore in auvergine bikini (dark purple); black gloves; hair in scruffy beach bun. Righetti in vivid, lighter/brighter shade of purple bikini; black gloves; red hair in long battle braid.

During R1: Matching gun-platform stances midring - both girls just SHELLING each other howitzer jabs. Heavy, stamping strokes - like they're kicking soccer balls off one another's chests and faces. Minute mark - Mandy's nose starts to bleed: she falters, blinking - Righetti leans in a clanging right cross to buckle Moore's legs. Mandy hurt, showing earmuff: she steps away, guard up as Amanda walks her down. Ropes - Righetti on top: thudding right/lefts clap against Mandy's flanks, prompting her to clinch. Ref's break: Amanda stays aggressive - right back on top with the jab, then a bashing right upstairs to keep Mandy pinned down. That's the way of it: heavy, two-fisted shellack from Righetti encompassing arms/flanks/waist as Mandy cowers behind her mitts before clinching. Moore unable to clear the ropes: Righetti doing a great job managing position while reducing her foe.

R2: POUNDING jabs from Righetti: she's all narrow-eyed, tight-lipped while detonating left hands off Mandy's face/defences. Moore keeping hands up, trying to block: sheer weight of Righetti's poke enough to keep Mandy occupied. Right hands bash against Mandy's guard: blocked, but heavy enough to move Moore ropeside. Once she gets position at ropes, Righetti squares away, gets to work: Heavy, shellacking strokes belt away hips/flanks/arms/skull, prompting more Moore clinches. Moore's corner screaming at her to get off ropes: she tries her best late, baring her teeth, slugging lefts and rights to clobber Amanda upside the head. Righetti shrugging off the surge, answering back in kind: round ends to the sight of two big women swapping thick side to side whacks at bell.

R3: MANDY detonates a heavy jab off Righetti's face, backing Amanda up, bloodying her nose. Righetti firms, answers in kind: both girls with weight on front (left) legs, pushing off with the ball of the right foot on slamming jabbage. Pounding jabs landing like a lightweight's power shot: spanking blasts against offending chests sounding like baseball bats whacking wet sandbags. Mandy's nose bloodied again: she backs away blinking down the stretch - allowing Righetti to walk her down, take the round on aggression.

R4: Mandy firms, carpet-bombing Righetti with jabs, then pushing-in to body-up and walk her around. Catch and release from Moore: she's maintaining the initiative earned by her jab with smart holding... Righetti's output plummets. Mandy nice n' slick inside... squirming to snuggle up while tucking a right hand into Amanda's tummy or hip. Righetti unhurt, but frustrated - bamboozled as Moore stabilizes her front.

R5: Righetti POUNDS the jab early - knocking back Mandy's head, splitting her lip, getting the nose flowing... Moore has to give ground wincing. Amanda stepping forward behind the poke - swinging right roundhouses wide n' loud to Mandy's flank, then pushing her off with both hands: Righetti denying Mandy's attempted clinches. Moore gobbling right hands to chin early - knees knocking as she absorbs Righetti's power: Mandy stumbles into ropes for support. Righetti squares away - maintains position with that shelling jab and good big-girl palm-pushing: Moore contained, punished in systematic fashion as Amanda releases both hands thick amidships. Bell: Mandy busted up, mouthbreathing, starting to look haggard from sheer punishment through 5 thumping heats.

R6: Mandy! Moore bloodies Righetti's nose again, pounding redhead face back with slamming jabs - then stepping in to swinging right crosses. Amanda gives ground under furious bombardment... HER back hits ropes for the first time as Moore bares her fangs. Payback assault on Righetti's sturdy chassis as Mandy bangs waist/flanks - then Moore brings the uppercut to part Amanda's mitts and brush her upright. Righetti maintaining rigid hand position at temples - trying to get Moore to punch herself out: Mandy crafty though - slugging plenty hard, but bodying up in spots to conserve energy while making Amanda take weight. Righetti savagely bashed at: the guard holds, but Amanda clearly uncomfortable trying to be cute off the ropes.

R7: Girls trading jabs like opposing broadsides: we rarely see such commitment to power poking. Both girls deploying right hands after jab sequences: desperate blocking up top as each looks for chin. Righetti a little more versatile as round progresses: she'll add in the odd left hook to paunch off her right hands up top - just banking the extra touch in the exchanges. Moore mouthbreathing, BADLY busted up at this point: eyes swelling, face puffy as Amanda bangs out the points.

R8: Moore clearly weary up off her stool: Righetti able to engage well inside Moore's half of the ring. Jabs drive Mandy to ropes: Righetti sets up like clockwork - dukes at her chin as she crouches in to work. THUDDING blasts deployed to either Moore flank as poor Mandy sits in ropes, droops forward behind her mitts. Righetti arching her back to pick Moore up right uppercuts: Mandy brushed back, eyes blinking, lips parted. Moore brave, but really breaking down: she offers back at Righetti via left uppercuts or hooks - always quick to cover up again after. Amanda so thorough - diligently battering Mandy's arms as well as her body to demoralize the brunette. Bell: Righetti's nostrils flaring - what a look she gives Amanda when fighters separate!

R9: Righetti forward like a freight train: Moore staggering back from the onslaught. First minute just Righetti breaking out the crow bar and slamming away on Mandy's arms/midsection/flanks: Moore effectively paralyzed by this relentless assault. With Moore reduced - Righetti begins pushing her upright, clobbering her about the head and shoulders: Mandy drifting in and out on her feet - guard growing limp and often punched out of the way. STOP THE FIGHT, REF!!! Mandy helpless - just sitting in the ropes, drooping forward as Righetti props her up and batters her. Murderous, clobbering lefts and rights pound across Mandy's battered face, finally battering her to her right, then down to sprawl upon her belly. Good night Mandy Moore: KO9 Amanda Righetti in savage fashion.

After: Righetti still seething in the immediate aftermath - pushing against the ref to get more Mandy: takes a moment for the KO lust to subside. Moore savagely beaten: she's tenderly rolled to her back and treated on the spot - gently brought around and sat up as Amanda's giving her interview. "Mandy's got tools," Righetti admits, "good jab; some spice on the right hand... but I've never been so determined to end a fight as I was tonight. It's not that I trained harder - I train hard for every fight - it's just that I felt so DRIVEN for this fight. Mandy just caught me on the wrong night: I hope she's ok, because it's nothing personal. It's really just the beating I should have given Sarah."
