HISC/Front Street match ups have been pretty common of late, and this one promises to be interesting. Winter had a nice run beating Portman and Kreuk, but couldn't seal the deal against Williams and got passed up by Kristen Stewart, who DID seal it. Now, Ariel's looking at a very important fight against a very dangerous fighter in Mila Kunis...who isn't intimidated at all by her rival's above-the-weight power.

"Is she overrated," asks Mila with a smile. "Yes, she's overrated. She got lucky against Natalie. That's all she did. She couldn't even beat LOWNDES. And, she's sure as hell not beating ME."

"Well," says Ariel with a smile of her own, "We'll just SEE how overrated she thinks I am when I'm DONE with her."

ROUND ONE:

Feeling out process early. Both fighters showing the other plenty of respect and nobody's getting too aggressive. Lots of probing with the jab, lots of movement of the feet, as the two brunettes look for weaknesses, try to find things they can exploit as the fight goes on. Not a lot of exploiting in this stanza, however, as Kunis shows her normal level of slickness and Winter surprises by matching it. Ariel's reputation is for getting physical and banging, but she's showing that she can play this game, too, and play it well enough to hang with a solid boxer like Mila, at least in the short term. Late in the round, things begin to open up. Pair of NASTY exchanges that see both fighters land hard shots gets the crowd's attention, but the bell rings before there can be any follow up. Round is close, but goes to Kunis, who grabs the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO: 

Feeling out is over, but the respect isn't, especially on Mila's side. Kunis is clearly aware of Winter's right hand, and she's spending a lot of time making it difficult for the younger brunette to get it on target. She's playing defense, moving, jabbing, all the while looking to set up opportunities for her own offense. For Winter's part, she's frustrated early. She's trying to get that offense going, but isn't able to get it done. Instead, Kunis is calling the tune and dominating the proceedings while doing so. It's not until late in the round that Ariel stops trying so hard, and that makes a difference. She settled into the boxing look, showing, like she did in the first, that she can hold her own on these terms. It's too little, too late, though, because Mila's built up a very big lead and she easily claims the points to stretch her lead to 20-18.

ROUND THREE:

Better for Ariel. Winter again boxing with early. Kunis, again, getting the slight edge while this is going on. But, now, the younger woman's getting the geometry down. She's starting to get Mila lined up, and, when that happens, things change. Winter is able to back up her rival, toss her onto the defensive, score points in bunches. Not for long, mind. Kunis is too good for that. The older flyweight is able to quickly extricate herself from trouble. But, Ariel's able to bring her right back there. Several times. And, again, the younger woman piles up points in those exchanges. And, all that scoring offsets what Kunis does when she's able to dictate terms and distance. Offsets. And does a bit more. Because, when the bell rings, though it's close, it's Winter who's won the round and cut Kunis' lead to 29-28.

ROUND FOUR:

Winter getting rolling. She's getting Mila lined up and letting Kunis have it when she does so. Older brunette trying hard to manage the aggression, but it's not working. Instead, she's getting bullied around the ring by Winter, who's definitely in rhythm now. About half way in...BOOM! Right hand, WINTER and Mila is HURT! Kunis wobbles, covers up, and Ariel is ALL IN. Winter letting Mila have it with both hands, backing her into the ropes, then working her body OVER. Ariel almost ignoring the head as she punishes ribs and midsection before going upstairs in the final thirty seconds looking to finish this thing. Kunis holding on, rolling with punches, trying to run clock. Referee watching closely, on a hair-trigger, but Mila makes it to the bell. When it rings, it's Winter wide and we're even at 38.

ROUND FIVE:

Kunis in retreat early, but she shakes off the worst of the damage pretty quickly and, once she's gotten her legs back, she stabilizes her front. Ariel still pressuring, but that begins playing into the older brunette's hands. Mila now able to manage again with the jab and the foot movement, and it turns things around. Winter's early lead evaporates by the final minute as Mila dominates the mid-round. That's when Winter makes an adjustment of her own, getting back to what worked for her in the third and fourth rounds, showing patience and looking to work forward instead of walk forward. Result it a last minute that shows plenty of good, two-way stuff, with both brunettes getting accurate fire in place. Final seconds see a pair of sharp exchanges that the older woman gets the better of, and those make all the difference. Mila takes the points narrowly and gets back into the lead 48-47.

ROUND SIX:

Ranged warfare early, as Mila enforces distance with the left jab, but, again, Ariel begins finding ways forward, getting the geometry down, stepping to, backing Kunis up. BOOM! Right hand, Winter and Mila is HURT AGAIN! OIder brunette wobbles and nearly goes down and for the second time in the fight, the younger woman is ALL IN. Winter tossing everything she has at a retreating Kunis, letting her have it with both hands. Mila in deep trouble as she's backed to the ropes with a full minute remaining on the clock. Winter not going body this time. She's going to spend the entire sixty seconds looking to finish, one way or the other. Ref on a hair trigger as he watches the carnage, but Kunis shows the veteran wiles and does enough to keep him at bay and to survive the onslaught. At the bell, it's Winter wide, and we're even at 57.

ROUND SEVEN:

Winter all OVER Mila. She's determined to finish this thing. Kunis doing everything she can to slow down the younger fighter, but can't get it done. Instead, Ariel's battering the older woman all over the ring, landing hard shot to both head and body, dominating the proceedings almost completely. Kunis reduced to the odd counter, mostly playing defense with the hands high, and almost always giving grou...BOOM! BLISTERING right hand counter from Mila and DOWN GOES WINTER! Out of absolutely NOWHERE, Kunis finds a perfect rejoinder and sits the younger brunette down! Kunis quickly to a neutral corner. Dazed Ariel sits watching the count, finally getting to her feet at eight and stumbling back into the ropes and THE REFEREE WAIVES IT OFF! Ref doesn't like what he sees and it's OVER! And your winner by KO7 in SHOCKING fashion is Mila Kunis!

AFTER:

Kunis definitely looking like she's been in a fight in the post-fight interview, but she's all smiles despite the scuffing. "Like I said," the brunette beauty says with a nod, "This girl is overrated. She got lucky once, that's all. She's no Stewart. If she were at HISC, she'd be the number five flyweight. She's a back bencher, not a champion. She might develop into a decent number two fly, but that's about her ceiling. So, stop crowning her, because I just proved she has no clothes."
