Georgia Mae Gibbs vs Wallis Day

Georgia:

BEFORE:
It’s the first fight for British actress and model Wallis Day in 2020 after some impressive victories against Barbara Palvin and Hayley Atwell at the close of 2019. On the other hand, it’s still a mixed bag of chips for Aussie model Georgia Mae Gibbs, who’s coming off a disappointing three-fight losing streak since last year, which threatens to throw her into obscurity like some of her former stablemates.

“Wallis is a nice, soft landing for me, or that’s what Kate’s been telling me,” Georgia says first at the press conference, with a mixture of disappointment and snark. “Everyone has their days of funk, and it all started because of Agdal, who I’m still itching to smack around the next time we meet. As for Wallis, trust me: she doesn’t want to mess with a woman like me. Not at this point of time when I’ve got little else to lose.”

Georgia makes a grand entrance hours later, striding into the arena wearing a red lingerie set, laced bra and panties as she raises her white gloves into the air. Moments later, Wallis also makes her entrance, shoulder-length blonde hair messy on purpose as the British actress smiles wide for the cameras. By ring-side, Wallis stops to make some comments to reporters as well:

“Not to bash my opponent tonight, but Georgia’s recent matches simply show she doesn’t have what it takes to make it to the top of this division. Me, on the other hand? I’ve beaten legends like Ali Larter, so I don’t see why a little blonde from Australia is going to stop me.”

Wallis climbing up the ring-steps in a green bikini top, hot denim navy shorts as she puts on black gloves. Referee spews the rules but both women ain’t listening to one word as they meet in the middle, glaring into each other’s eyes. Georgia with a two-inch height advantage, but Wallis built a little stronger, the Brit planning to use her power to overwhelm the leaner Gibbs.

Referee signals for the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Early dance between two wary girls, who refuse to come in close to brawl. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that both of them are still coming off a series of heartbreak losses, as Georgia leads with tentative jabs to the arms and the occasional trauma to the face itself, making Wallis grimace. But Georgia not out of danger herself, with return fire from Day also snagging her on the lips and nose, and both blondes exchanging fire in the middle of the ring as though finally given the green light to brawl simultaneously. Final minute of this taste-tester has them feeling each other out with continued jabs to the arms and body, but Georgia uses her height this round to land a little more often and win the round overall.

ROUND 2:
Wallis lands a nasty hook to the face within the first few seconds, which sends Georgia reeling! The Vixen had tried to resume the slugging action in the middle of the ring only to get knocked to the side by Day’s power. Wallis, though two inches shorter, ain’t someone you’d want to mess around with, as she chases the Aussie model with short but effective whap whap WHAPs of punches into her arms and body, punishing Gibbs for that earlier round. Georgia doing her best mean-girl impression, shoots her own jabs at the face whilst in full retreat, doesn’t see much success however when Wallis stays in her vicinity the entire time, the Brit not letting up the pressure till the bell rings. End result: Day punishes her opponent this round for underestimating her, that’s for sure!

ROUND 3:
More close-quarters fighting as Day comes in hot and swinging, whilst Georgia thinks she too can stand and brawl with the smaller girl. Hooks catching faces flushed within the opening seconds of the bell, drawing grunts as blonde hair goes flying left and right. Day punishes Gibbs to the arms but Gibbs swiftly ducks under a follow-up swing, begin to employ different tactics like pounding on the blonde’s gut or snapping an uppercut into the base of her chin. Bad news for Day as she can’t quite keep up with the Vixen’s speed, gets pummeled at her own game, pushed backwards at the end of the round. That’s not to say that Gibbs gets off scott-free either: red welts are starting to form all over the Aussie’s face and body as she takes her due in order to get her own this round.

ROUND 4:
Wallis, still with the stubbornness of an ox, blares forward and lands a quick one-two combo to Georgia’s chest and side, drawing a loud OUMPH from lips. Gibbs stuck in holding pattern by her corner, not sure whether to rush in and batter the Brit back or stay away and out of danger. Wallis not waiting for her foe to find out, shot after shot landed to Gibbs’ arms, each cross hand like a battering ram breaking down her defences. But Georgia remains calm, in between moments during the siege firing arrows back at Wallis as those red gloves catch her on her face, drawing painful grunts in turn. Bell rings to end the round and it’s a pyrrhic victory for Day, who’s seen rubbing her nose on her way back to corner despite taking the round overall.

ROUND 5:
Bad news for Gibbs after she gets a taste of Day’s power, the British actress blocking some pesky, incoming strikes before gouging a nasty hook into the side of her head! OUCH!! Georgia needs to work on her people skills as she stumbles awkwardly to the side, clutching at her face in pain! AND HERE COMES WALLIS!! Gibbs covers up the body as it gets stuffed with straight hands and dull hooks landing in tandem… Gibbs getting pushed back into the ropes as the two blondes wrap up and wrestle along the south corner, with Day continuing to stuff her leather into the Aussie’s stomach, trying her best to send her down for the count early. But no! Referee intervenes when the bell rings after three minutes, saving Gibbs from certain destruction this time!

ROUND 6:
Gibbs has to be more careful if she wants to stay alive and avoid disaster, like some of her other stablemates with their current losing streaks. She gets the message this time, stays out of range and lets Day take the majority of the ring for now. Day’s just happy to take the offensive, thinks Georgia’s ready to go down as she chases after her. But the British lady is having trouble of her own landing the shots that matter, scarring Gibbs’ arms with hooks and jabs but not landing on that vulnerable chin. This way, Gibbs tires her opponent out, with Day visibly slowing by the end of the round. Signal for Georgia to counterattack in the final seconds, drawing a loud grunt as she feigns a left hand high before punting a hard right to the middle of Wallis’ face.

ROUND 7:
Wallis is breathing hard out of her corner, but by contrast, Georgia’s bouncing on her toes at the opening bell. Gibbs tests what’s left of her foe’s defences with some jabbing action but then quickly brings out the big guns as she whaps leather into the tummy, then lands another as it grazes off of Day’s chest. The Brit in full retreat, fends off a combination of power-shots mixed with faster jabs. Gibbs is happy to go after the body in exchange for her punches rebounding off the arms, until Wallis gets herself trapped against the ropes and folded over repeatedly by shots to the belly. Gibbs just letting her fists CHUG in and out in tandem, doing major damage to Day’s wilting form on the ropes… till a final SHOT up into the chin FLOORS THE BRIT DOWN to her side! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Georgia Mae Gibbs! And Wallis knocked out cold by the ropes, not moving an inch as the referee counts her chances out by that of 10! It’s over!

Official Decision: Georgia Mae Gibbs defeats Wallis Day via KO7!

AFTER:
FINALLY! Gibbs breaks her losing streak with a decisive win over a fellow blonde! Hopefully she can maintain this momentum going forward, but for now, there’s just relief on her face, as she demands a towel to wipe the sweat off her face, then she waltzes back to her corner with victory rock music blasting in the background.

Day getting up to her knees but then collapses in her corner with a look of disappointment on her face. She fought the good fight tonight but came up short, having given the blonde some trouble early. It’s still an impressive performance for the actress, and there’s no reason why she won’t be able to dominate this division sometime in the future.

Other than that, both ladies are basically ignoring each other as the fight winds down and the referee officially announces the results. KO7 in the third minute, though we know that Georgia would have wanted a better performance than this.
