Jennifer Lawrence versus Ana Beatriz Barros

 (Words: Fates / Results: Lookout!)

Jennifer Lawrence: 29 years old, 5’8”, 32-24-1 since 2011, Chimera

Ana Beatriz Barros: 37 years old, 5’11”, 5-3 since 2019, Fates Boxing

Before:

Tonight’s welterweight action sees two girls who are looking to join the ranks of the welterweight elite in a bikini match. While it is a small division, these two girls have never faced off before. Both girls walk into the press room and the Brazilian starts it off. Barros is fairly mum, just simply saying, “I want to win and prove that while I may be on the older side, I can still fight.” Lawrence smirks before picking up the microphone, “It’s about time I knock someone from Fates out and finally beat one of their girls. I get that they have DiDonato and Swift, but the other girls. Olsen? Davis? It’s like Fates is picking up the girls who couldn’t cut it for Ginny. And Barros might as well just prep for cougar at this point, she hasn’t been a relevant model since 2015, maybe even 2010.” Barros glares at Lawrence as the American moves the mic down before moving it right back up, “And I almost forgot,” J-Law continues, “that there are plenty of rumors about the Fates welterweights getting changed. So I’ll make this one really easy for Fates tonight – I’ll prove that you should cut this Brazilian.”

Barros gets up and is held back by security and both girls are escorted out of the room – they will have to settle their differences in the ring.

Come time for the match, Ana Beatriz Barros comes out from the back first. The tall Brazilian model steps into the ring and removes her robe, revealing a blue and purple leopard string bikini, reminding everyone that while she may be 37, she still has looks that can kill. Jennifer Lawrence steps to the ring soon after and the actress has elected to wear a black bikini. Both girls meet in the center of the ring and refuse to touch gloves before the bell rings.

Round 1:

Right out of the gate, Barros starts jabbing at Lawrence, leveraging her extra reach over the actress, and even nails Jennifer with a right as the American underestimates the Brazilian model’s range. Ana quickly closes the distance between the Jennifer using her long legs and slips a left to Lawrence’s jaw. The star actress is covering up as the model pounds her body, criss-crossing lefts and rights into Lawrence’s chest. J-Law struggling to respond to Barros’ rangy blows and the Brazilian shifts her focus to Lawrence’s head. Jennifer keeps her guard up to stop Ana from doing too much damage in the latter’s first fight of the year. Barros takes a big swing at Lawrence’s head and the blow skips off of Jennifer’s glove and past her head as the Brazilian lunges a bit. Lawrence quick with the response, getting in a shot to the model’s head and chest each before the Brazilian counters with a right just below Lawrence’s left eye. The bell rings and despite being the better part of a decade older, Ana Beatriz Barros takes the opening frame against Jennifer Lawrence.

Round 2:

Theron emphatically gesturing to Lawrence when the actress is in the corner between rounds and Lawrence wastes no time going after Barros. The American jams the lanky Brazilian from close range and works body, churning out lefts and rights to Barros’ body and quickly knocks her into the ropes. Ana gets her arms up and has to awkwardly strike at Jennifer with short punches that are cramped but Lawrence just has the better position to batter the brunette and Barros goes for the clinch, forcing the referee to break the two girls apart. Out of the break, Ana gets in a cheeky jab with her right after faking a left, but J-Law comes back with a left that catches the Brazilian in her chin and forces the Brazilian back. Lawrence feinting and picking the opportune moment to strike and backing off before Barros can do anything more than get off a single counterpunch. Come the end of the round, Lawrence has done enough for the judges to determine that she takes the round on points, wide.

Round 3:

Barros is ready for Lawrence’s charge to start the third round this time and gets out two jabs to the blonde before Jen gets in close enough to hit the brunette back in her chin. Ana shifts backwards to increase the distance between herself and J-Law, getting out a couple more jabs thanks to her long reach, but Lawrence merely shimmies forwards and left to close the distance and this time goes for a body shot, getting the Brazilian model to wince. Ana goes for a rib shot in response but her blow barely skims off of Jen’s ribs and the Brazilian takes an involuntary half step closer to Lawrence, who rips a short right into Barros’s chest, producing a dull thump as it connects with her breasts and flattens her bikini top against her chest. Ana Beatroz instinctively wraps her arms around Lawrence. Once the ref breaks the hold, Lawrence gets up close to Barros, avoiding any blows by the lanky Brazilian, and the two exchange a brief flurry of close range body punches before the round ends. Once again, Lawrence takes the round, but this time, it’s close.

Round 4:

Both girls settling into a steady rhythm, with Ana Beatriz Barros looking to wear down Jennifer Lawrence with punches from range while the actress starts to adopt a hit and run strategy, hitting the Brazilian with a rib shot and retreating before Barros can respond. Lawrence executing her strategy almost flawlessly, being able to either dodge or block all but two of Barros’ shots and come in and hit the model’s exposed flesh. Once, twice, three times Lawrence dips in, focusing on Barros’ right side and dropping back, but J-Law goes to the well one too many times and after her third time dipping in and moving out, Ana chases after Jen and plunges a right into the actress’ body and follows up with a left to the jaw. Lawrence drops backwards and Barros chases, tagging Jen’s chin with two rights. Lawrence plants her feet and starts to trade back, and while she lands some solid blows, Barros edges her out by the end of the round, taking the round close.

Round 5:

Barros changing tactics to start the fifth round by going right after Lawrence and looking to keep the tempo up and distance closer. Lawrence startled by the change in tactics as she takes a quick right just below her eye followed by a left flush in the nose. Jen counters with a right that catches Ana in the chest but the Brazilian model snaps J-Law’s head back with a straight and Lawrence staggers backwards into the ropes, her guard up. Barros takes a second to hit at Jen’s guard before popping two quick blows to Jen’s rack, drawing a slight gasp out of Lawrence as her bikini bounces with the blows. Ana shifts her focus back from Jen’s body up at her head and Lawrence finds an opening to fire off an absolute rocket that gets the Brazilian in her mouth. Barros takes a half step backwards and her counterpunch flies wide of Lawrence’s head and the actress plunges leather into Barros’ midriff and the Brazilian audibly shouts out! Barros is slightly bent over and J-Law pounds a right into the model’s face before hitting her exposed jugs, repaying the favor from earlier in the round and on comes Lawrence with a big right – no, wait, the bell rings! Barros staggering backwards as the bell saves her from an onslaught from J-Law, and while the Brazilian may have won the round narrowly, the bigger concern is whether or not she’s really hurting from Lawrence’s surge as she winces a bit on her way back to the Fates corner.

Round 6:

J-Law charges out of her corner and Barros sticks her before she hits Lawrence’s ribs. Jen responds with a wicked right that catches Ana in her jaw and the Brazilian’s long legs give a shimmy! Lawrence slams a left into Barros’ body and the Barros’ counter shoots out wide as J-Law dodges and then buries a right into Barros’ red midriff and the Brazilian shouts out in pain again as Jen finds her opponent’s weak spot and is firmly in control of the round. Ana retreating as Jen seems to take potshot after potshot, working around Ana’s guard and hammering her body, almost popping the Brazilian’s breasts out of her bikini. The Fates corner desperately yelling at Barros to keep her guard up but their warning is too late as Lawrence slams one, two, three punches into Barros’ jaw. Ana throws out a desperation blow but Jen sees it all the way, dodging the blow, then firing an uppercut into Barros’ chin that instantly knocks the Brazilian onto her back and she is out! The ref waves off the count after looking at Ana and medics stream into the ring to attend to Ana. Your winner by a brutal KO6, Jennifer Lawrence!

After:

The Fates staff rushes in to tend to the fallen fighter while Jen does a victory lap around the ring and yells out, “I told you she can’t hang with me!” Barros slowly being brought back around all while Lawrence celebrates her victory before heading out of the ring. After a few minutes, Barros is able to stand, but she’s supported by Hannah Davis and is visibly wobbly.

Jennifer Lawrence finds her way to the press and launches into her commentary, “It’s the same thing as I said earlier – outside of DiDonato and Swift, Fates has nobody. And that’s why everyone knows he’s looking for changes at welterweight. Now, let Ana be a lesson to anyone who stands in my way – you won’t be standing after I’m done with you.” And with that, Jennifer Lawrence triumphantly leaves the press behind.

Unsurprisingly, Ana Beatriz Barros doesn’t speak to the press afterwards, and one has to wonder – given the rumors on the street about Fates looking to make changes at welter, did Barros just fight her last match with Fates?
