NATALIE ALYN LIND VS KATHERINE MCNAMARA

Results: Lookout Writing Archer

Natalie: 20 YO, 5’5 (1.65 m), 15-5-0, 15 KO since 2017, Foxfire Boxing

Katherine: 24 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), 6-4-0, 6 KO since 2017, Fates Boxing

Before: “I am really looking forward to this.” Kat McNamara tells press, “Since I was signed by Fates boxing I have gone 6-2. I only lost to Emma Watson and Jessica Lowndes. That’s given me a good foundation, but I feel I need expand on that. Natalie came into the FCBA the same year I did, 2017. But she’s had twice the fights I have. Now that was because I was unmanaged until last year and she’s been at Foxfire a lot longer. Since I signed with Fates I am a whole lot busier. So what I want here is to show I can make up ground and start moving up the Flyweight ranks. It’s a crowded division and you really need to stand out.”

Natalie Lind gives a yawn: “Thank you Kat McNamara, you are clearly a cure for insomnia. If you talked any longer about you and your career I don’t think any of us would be awake.”

“I was just explaining my motivation for the fight,” said Kat.

“Mine’s simple: I am motivated to see you stretched out on the canvas while chirping birdies circle around your KO’d head. I am in this fight to win it and that’s it,” Natalie said bluntly.

The auburn haired his McNamara’s cheeks start to flame: “If you want bluntness, I got that too: I have watched you Natalie Lind and I don’t like you. Putting you to sleep will be my pleasure.”

“Now that’s the kind of talk I like. Hey, you got some juggs, 32C, just like mine and I was JMD Champion.”

“For about two minutes as I recall, yes, I am proud of my chest. No, I am not here to fight you JMD, but you never know. Our gloves just might run into our chests as things go on.”

“I am starting to like you McNamara, but don’t worry it won’t last long once the punching starts,” Natalie said with a sly smile.

“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” said Katherine with a sly smile of her own.

They meet again in the ring on PPV Night. Katherine is in a black sports bra with short silver trunks with thin black vertical stripes. Gloves and boots are silver with black laces. Kat’s red-gold hair is pulled back in a ponytail. Natalie is in a black one piece swimsuit with a plunging neckline with a NAL written in gold on the hip. Gold gloves and boots with black laces for Natalie. Nat hair pulled back in a tight braid. Ring instructions go smoothly. Gloves tapped. Fighters to their corners. The bell rings.

R1: Natalie and Katherine move out to mid ring and then circle each other warily. They take turns stepping in with exploratory punching before pulling back. This goes on for the first minute, but then Natalie slides forward and scores with a fast right to the jaw and then a fast swatting follow-up left. Kat goes wobbly as she falls back from these brain rattling blows. Natalie now slamming hard hooks into Kat’s abs and sending her back struggling against the punches slamming into her. Natalie pressing Kat hard, but Kat slides away to avoid being pinned on the strands, but when the bell rings it is Natalie Alyn Lind who has won the first round wide.

R2: Action resumes at the bell, but Kat is more aggressive this time. She’s aiming for Natalie’s head, keeping the blonde ducking and not attacking. Kat then goes to the body ripping hooks into Natalie’s stomach, then her ribs, and then, yes, those tempting breasts. Natalie fires back at Katherine’s body with special attention to Kat’s bra cups. Kat and Natalie pound each other’s puppies for a crowd pleasing sustained period, but then Kat suddenly brings a cracking right to the jaw that staggers Nat and then Kat hooks to the belly to send the blonde stumbling back. Natalie steadies herself behind her jab and fights Katherine to a standstill by the bell. However Katherine has edged Natalie out on the judges’ cards to win the round.

R3: Nat and Kat pick up where they left out at the end of the previous round. Then hasten from their corners and quickly get up close and personal. Lefts and rights being driven up into straining bodies as their elbows move in and out in piston-like action. Bodies taking a lot of punishment, but both the young warriors are stubbornly hanging in, pressing forward as they try to get extra effort into their punching. Then Natalie’s efforts start to show success as Katherine starts to wilt under the attack and give ground. It’s a slow retreat, but Nat is pushing her. They go at it over and over to the bell and even then the referee has to jump in to remind them the round is now over. Judges take their time, but decide this time it is Natalie who has pulled out a narrow win.

R4: Katherine comes shooting out of her corner at the bell and starts slapping rights and lefts across Natalie’s face and jaw. Natalie’s legs suddenly rubber as she reels back from this intense barrage. Natalie trying to jab back but Kat is now getting hooks in to slash away at Nat to the belly and breasts. Natalie his all hunched up and being pushed back. She’s trying to use her jab, but Katherine is all fired-up and the counters are stopping her. Natalie slammed into the ropes and pinned there by Kat’s left forearm across Nat’s collarbone while her right slams into Natalie’s stomach. Nat wraps her arms around Katherine to stop the shelling. Referee breaks it up and Natalie does by herself some time to reset her jab. Kat now blocked by the jab and she’s trying to work around when time runs out. Katherine wins the round wide.

R5: Natalie revived on her stool during the break and she starts shooting angry looks across the ring at Katherine (who pretends to ignore her). Looks like NAL did not appreciate the thrashing she took from Kat in the previous round. Bell sounds and now it is Natalie rocketing out of her corner for a surprise attack on Katherine. Katherine not entirely surprised, but Natalie thumps her hard in the belly to double Kat up. Then pounding rights and lefts to the head. Kat trying to cover up, but then Natalie goes after those temptingly hanging hooters and gives Kat’s melons right/left/right/left swabbing. Katherine starts backpedaling away rapidly from Natalie and the blonde gives chase. Kat finally able to use her jab to slow Natalie down, but Nat maintains a steady drumbeat of punching to the bell and wins the round wide.

R6: Natalie comes storming out again and unleashes a fresh torrent of leather onto Katherine. Punches mainly going to the head and making Katherine retreat. Nat giving cases, but then Katherine suddenly circles and drive a surprise right into Natalie’s chin. Nat thrown back, her legs suddenly locking up and Kat adds a right to the jaw to send NATALIE CRASHING TO ALL FOURS. Natalie crouching, slowly shaking her head as Katherine goes to the neutral corner and the referee starts to count. Natalie has to make several efforts before she finally stands erect to break the count at “NINE!” Referee looks her over with some concern, but Natalie heard insisting “I’m OK! I’m OK!” Fight resumes and Katherine immediately goes to the head with a burst of punches. Natalie goes lurching back into the ropes and Kat moves with her pounding away at Natalie to the head as she slides along the ropes. Natalie not fighting back! SHE’S OUT ON HER FEET! Ringsiders screaming for the fight to be stopped! AND THE REF JUMPS IN! Natalie sags into the official’s arms as Katherine wearily wipes her sweaty brow with her forearm.

THE WINNER KATHERINE MCNAMARA DEFEATS NATALIE ALYN LIND KO6!

After: Natalie has to be helped to her stool where medical staff check her out. No post fight fun for Katherine McNamara as medics want Natalie back in her dressing room for a more thorough check.

“Oh, it’s all right. I just wanted to win this,” Kat tells press, “she was just too stubborn for her own good. I just couldn’t get her down and I am glad the ref stepped in. I hope she’ll be all right.”

Good news from Foxfire at Beth Harnois reports later: “Our medical staff says Natalie will be fine, but she’ll need some rest. I talked to her and she wanted Kat to know: ‘Good win, McNamara, you beat me but maybe next time I’ll get you.’”

Katherine later responds: “I appreciate her saying that and I do hope we get to fight again.”

This was a very even fight most of the way. Whenever one fighter seemed to have an advantage the other would come back, However Natalie might have gotten a bit careless in R6 and that led to disaster for her. Good win for Katherine McNamara and she is definitely becoming a rising star in the Flyweight Division. A setback for Natalie Alyn Lind, but we think she’ll be back and dangerous as ever. Enjoyable night for the fans.
