Before: Jeri vs the Euro-ports continues, with much being made of Ryan’s destruction of the elusive Hurley, but Marceau isn’t buying it. “I am not Liz Hurley,” states Sophie coldly in prefight. “Jerri Ryan proved she can be hit against Elizabeth—nothing more. When I hit her, she will see the difference.” Sophie in black leather bandeau bikini, long loose curls, Jeri in red bandeau bikini.

During R1: Sophie out brazenly, hands at her sides, leaning forward and swaying her torso low to make Jeri miss over the top. Marceau stepping back, dragging wide punches into Jeri’s face from either side and RYAN IS HURT! Mareceau flat footed, but sinewy with the upperbody, continues to slap and molest Jeri with a variety of nuisance blows, then surprise her with the real heat. Ryan busting up early, but never taking a backyard step, starts to fit her jab into Sophie’s chest, snapping opff some hard right hands to the body at the bell.

R2: Sophie continues to put smart bomb accurate power punches on Jeri’s chin, swatting a right hook then stepping into a lashing left hand on the mouth that has Ryan rocked early. Marceau circling, measuring with a pawing left, then twisting in and down with sucker left hands that have Ryan swooning. Jeri soaking up devastating haymakers, legs trembling, refuses to go down and continues to plow forward despite dreadful abuse this round. Marceau finishing up playfully with her back to the ropes, hands at her face, bending side to side and clipping Jeri with maddening counters en route to the shutout.

R3: Ryan storming the gates, feeds southpaw Sophie textbook lead right hands to back her up off balance, and it’s Jeri shaking off punishment to dish a little this round. Marceau forced to trade—Ryan snapping off punches from her shoulders, hurting Sophie to the chest and tummy, but still unable to find the French girl’s chin cleanly in an all action round.

R4: Marceau all defense early, left hand at her cheek, right hand at her side, giving Jeri that lead shoulder and slipping low under the blonde’s hacking strokes. Midway through the round, Marceau coming up from a deep crouch drags a deep left hand into the mouth of Ryan and Jerri goes wobbly butt, Marceau with a clouting right hook staggers Jeri, breaking her down badly and Sophie leans in with a left across the mouth, another right hand on the cheek AND JERI GOES DOWN! It’s OVER! Ryan swooning on her back, eyelashes fluttering, can’t get off her back as the supple power of Marceau prevails. KO4 Sophie Marceau.

After: Shocking stoppage of Ryan leaves pundits in awe—Marceau never threatened, controlled her opponent with snake-like reflexes, and hurt Ryan constantly throughout the fight. Jeri admitting Sophie a different class of puncher than Hurley, claims not to have seen the final blow in a very disappointed mea culpa in post fight.
