ANLLELA SAGRA VS. MISSY PEREGRYM

(Words: Holloway / Results: Lookout!)

Tonight we have yet another great lightweight match between veteran Missy Peregrym and one of the current top girls, Anllela Sagra! Peregrym has only had two matches this year, winning both of them; while Sagra finds herself in a tie having gone 3-3 so far this year, with all of her matches being against top lightweights. Missy's had over a decade more of experience than her opponent tonight, but is also over a decade older, and giving two inches to the colombian amazon, who's looking to improve what has been her worst year so far. Peregrym, however, looks ready to prove she's still one of the best lightweights.

ROUND 1:

Sagra wants to start this off by showing off her strength, as she usually does. Her toned, muscular body is usually enough to intimidate most of her opponents, but Missy's a big girl, and last time Anllela faced off a girl like that was Lima, and things didn't go so well that time. A back-and-forth between the muscular beauties takes place during the first minute of the round, both testing each other's strength and style, trying to get some damage done. Both seem to be about even as the round ends, this was an easy round, but next round, we're gonna get some action.

ROUND 2:

Sagra goes for it this round. She's pushing her opponent around the ring, she's throwing strong hooks at the body of her opponent, snapping out hard jabs at the face. Missy's taken aback by the skill and speed of her opponent. Anllela blasts home a right hand that throws Peregrym against the ropes. Things are obviously looking up for Sagra, who takes her foe down to the canvas with a powerful left.

1... 2... 3...

Missy looks hurt, but she's not done yet.

4... 5...

Peregrym is up! Sagra's back on her, circling arond her, throwing an occasional jab at the body, wearing her down. The round ends soon after, Missy needs to do something quick if she wants to beat the young woman.

ROUND 3:

What Missy lacks in youth and speed, she makes up for in experience and skill. Missy's trying to go through the colombian girl's defense, Anlella's holding her ground to no surprise, but it's getting harder for her to counter with punches of her own. Peregrym is outboxing her! Anllela starts to look worried as the second minute comes by. Peregrym is basically mocking her, wearing her down jab by jab, hook by hook. A strong left cross to the abs of the model makes her lose her balance and almost fall to the canvas. Anllela struggles, but she manages to survive the round. She now understands how Peregrym became champion back in her day.

ROUND 4:

As we move into the fourth round, the audience is reminded of the athleticism of tonight's fighters. Both Sagra and Peregrym are still looking fresh and ready to go ten more rounds. Both are challenging the other with their eyes. As soon as the bell rings, they meet midring. The start of the round sees Sagra more agressive. She can't let Missy beat her up like last time. Using her toned, longer arms Sagra starts jabbing away at her foe's face, keeping her distance and moving those muscular legs of hers all around the ring. Missy's doing a great job keeping up, responding to almost all of Sagra's punches. The round ends with the model taking the lead, but not by much.

ROUND 5:

Peregrym is looking to finish this thing early. She knows she can't outlast Sagra, but she's proven she's capable of outboxing her. Now all she needs is a good punch to finally bring her down. Missy starts this round going after a cautious Sagra, who's trying to repeat last round's strategy. The tall younger girl keeps her distance while jabbing at her foe, but Missy's more agressive this time. She gets in and goes right through the colombian's defense, throwing bodypunches that clearly damage Sagra. Anllela's shocked, she can't react quickly enough to block a powerful uppercut to the chin that puts her to the floor! Missy's gotten even!

1... 2... 3...

Sagra's dizzy, but trying to get up.

4... 5... 6...

Slowly, the colombian girl starts getting up.

7...

She's up! Sagra's up!

Missy smiles, waits for Sagra to get up and then goes back at it, clearly enjoying it beating up this young fit woman.

ROUND 6:

Another round, another exchange midring. The two powerful women go back at it, trying to prove the better woman. Sagra looks recovered from the last round to Missy's surprise, she's throwing back hard punches that force her opponent into the ropes. Missy's getting worried, she's taken quite a beating this past couple of rounds. Her other two opponents this year have been either shorter or skinnier than her, Sagra's neither, she's bigger, fitter and younger than Peregrym, and now she's realizing it. Peregrym has little to nothing to do to defend herself against the model as she's pushed into the ropes where she barely makes it until the end of the round.

ROUND 7:

Sagra knows her victory's coming, she's ready. Missy comes out still dizzy, wobbling as she gets to the centre of the ring. The actress puts up her defense but there's little she can do to stop Sagra who goes for her face with three powerful jabs. Peregrym takes a step back, she keeps her guard high, but Anllela continues to punish her. It's clearly over, but Missy's taking it like a champ. Punch after punch, she tries to survive, but after the first minute is over, she finally falls to the canvas. She's done!

Official Decision: Anllela Sagra beats Missy Peregrym KO7!

"I don't like beating up older women, I feel bad about it. I've brought down Charlize Theron, Adriana Lima and now Missy Peregrym. I guess it's just part of getting older, being replaced by younger, better girls" says Sagra about the match. "I would've loved to face Missy ten, even five years ago. Now THAT would've been a match, but oh well, too bad. We live in the present, and in that present, I am the fittest girl on the whole league, not to mention the one with the best abs. As for Missy, I hope she does well in the cougars division".

"That b*tch!" is Missy's reply. "It's true I was in my prime five years ago, but even now I can go a few rounds with the top lightweights. I'm sure if we had a rematch, I'd show her what I'm really made of. Lima did. Anyway, this is just a little stumble, my career is still once again on the rise. Let's see how long Sagra's career lasts".
