CBAD: Jessica Clements vs Katrina Bowden (Lightweight)

Jessica:

BEFORE:
Jessica still steam-rolling over the competition, now backed by a proper studio-name as she puts the rest of the Lightweight division on notice.

“I scored a title shot against the BBU champion when I wasn’t even on an official roster. Imagine what I can do now that I’ve joined the SIRENs proper. Bowden is another warm-up fight for me over here in the FCBA, and I’m darn proud of my undefeated record over this side of the Atlantic, and plan to keep it that way.”

Katrina scoffing at the pre-fight interview right back, folding her arms across her chest and rolling her eyes at the brunette’s wild assertion.

“You’ve got, what, three fights under your belt? Pfft. I’ve been in this league long enough to know when a newbie is full off hot air, and nothing else. Come over here, Jessie, and I’ll show you how it’s done.”

The two girls square off at the podium, the same height and built, as they set each other with steady glares and both hands on hips. Jessica Clements in a simple black bikini, hair tied back into a ponytail high, whereas Katrina is in a white loose bikini (pictured), red gloves poised at the bottom of the brunette’s chin.

It’s a lone fight on the card, taking place in the VIX Headquarters, Arena and Gym along Santa Monica Boulevard this afternoon, in sunny California. The crowds inside the auditorium are sparse, but mainly the fervent fans and supporters of both girls have turned up on the rafters, shouting their encouragement. Perhaps notably, Petra Nemcova seen sharing a word with Kate Beckinsale by the apronside, there to support their newest member of the stable.

Referee rings the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Katrina flies forward almost immediately, intending to bully the newcomer into submission. Jessica’s confidence from before all but evaporates as she starts absorbing hard strikes to her guard and body, with Bowden really blowing into her from the get-go. The blonde perhaps has something to prove after being invited over and over again to one too many VIX events, only to get shut down repeatedly by the likes of Nina Agdal and Cara Delevingne thus far. Who knows? Maybe the third time’s the charm? Hard strike to the side of the face as Jessica grunts from the impact, sent a couple of paces to the side. Petra banging on the apron already in the first round, yelling at her girl to establish some distance, which she obeys. Final minute and Clements gets into the groove, keeping Bowden at bay with jabs to the blonde’s face, but it’s not enough for her to salvage this opening round, which goes wide to Kat.

ROUND 2:
Kat smiling as she repeats the same strategy of hard and fast movements, initiating the first few jab-jab-cross combinations in Jessica’s direction. Not as effective this time, however, with Clements already backing away from the beginning, having anticipated the blonde’s attacks. Tables are turned this time with Bowden getting struck to the face as she rushes in, only to find her own punches hitting at empty air. Clements back in control and liking the position she’s in, fighting from afar and tagging blonde face and body all the way to the final minute. Bowden red-cheeked and swearing on her way back to her corner, wiping some sweat from that pretty face as she confers with her own trainers for advice.

ROUND 3:
First thirty seconds see a stalemate developing as neither girl wants to come forward first. They end up circling each other slowly, deliberately, bellies pulsing in and out and arms locked over the face, not taking their eyes off one another. Katrina initiates with some light jabs to the arms, not really doing much damage but more intent on testing the defences. Clements returning fire, and pretty soon, both ladies go back to throwing caution to the wind, sudden determination to stick their fists into faces regardless of whether they get hurt in the process. It’s a good minute of this back-and-forth action, mutual grunts uttered from lips as they punish each other simultaneously. Katrina doing a little more than her foe, showing great resilience as another one-two jab-jab sting her lips, but she brushes them off and SNAPS an uppercut into Clements’ chin, stunning the Siren bad enough for her to call off the engagement and backtrack. The bell rings soon after and it’s not clear who’s won what, but suffice it to say, Katrina’s still the one left smiling at her handiwork.

ROUND 4:
Clements however looks pissed off and wants to reclaim the lead, this time becoming the aggressor as she marches forward and initiates the first strikes. Katrina initially surprised when the punches start landing all over her guard - she quickly tries to contain the brunette’s aggression by backing away and making herself a small target. Clements not to be denied, however, gets in close and swipes sideways at the blonde tummy, before taking ROCKING shots at Kat’s arms, hoping to break the guard in half. But Bowden not yet going underwater so soon, fights back with a hook that stuns Jessica across the cheek once, then another stiff swipe across the chin dazes the stubborn beauty, and it’s only when she eats a third uppercut to the jawline, her head snapping upwards painfully, does she get the message and that maybe her strategy isn’t working too well here. Katrina hoping to rush in to capitalise, but the bell sounds too soon, leaving a stumbling Clements clinging onto the top rope to support herself on her way back to corner. Definitely a missed opportunity for Bowden right there though...

ROUND 5:
This fight is swinging in either direction thus far, and both ladies have certainly proven themselves capable of dishing out degrees of punishment. Katrina coming forward cautiously, hoping that Clements is still sufficiently dazed to go down. The blonde strikes at her forearms, then pokes at the tummy, driving Clements backwards across the ring. But when she tries slamming another hook into the guard, Jessica simply raises an arm to block, retaliates swiftly with a fist SHOVED hard into the lips out of nowhere! OUCHH!! Bowden’s eyes squeezed shut as she reels backwards in a daze of pain and surprise, doesn’t see Clements’ follow-up cross that SLAMS straight into her face, BOWLING HER OVER like a clothesline as she crashes to the canvas on her back! Bowden floored by that two-punch combo, reduced to moaning mutterings from her lips as she stays right where she is, eyes blinking up at the ceiling lights! It’s over in a FLASH!

Official Decision: Jessica Clements defeats Katrina Bowden via KO5!

AFTER:
Too bad for Katrina Bowden as she goes 0-3 on VIX territory. Clements staying close by, walking around the blonde for further signs of life, and only raises her hand in celebration when the referee calls for the bell to make the decision official.

“Is that how it’s done, huh?” Clements being sarcastic as she stares down at Katrina’s face and taunts her, before the medics push her away to carry the blonde off backstage for treatment.

Petra and Kate both entering the ring, patting her on the back and shaking Jessica’s hand at a job well done. She had some trouble early on in the fight, but managed to read Bowden well enough to put her away before the fifth round ended.

“If that’s how you knock someone ten years your senior out, then I’m wondering why we even hired you…”

All heads suddenly whip around to the sound of the voice, belonging to none other than resident Ice Queen, Alexis Ren, who mounts the apron and enters the ring, her eyes firmly set on the newest edition to the roster, Jessica Clements herself. The blonde herself is gearing up for an up-and-coming fight with Dollhouse Bella Thorne in just a couple of weeks, now dressed in a cut-off tank top and hot denim shorts.

“Alexis,” Kate says cautiously. “I want you to meet the newest Siren from our sister stable. Jessica, Alexis.”

Without uttering a word, the two girls come face-to-face, eyeing each other suspiciously, with Kate and Petra trying to intervene from the side.

“I know who she is. I just don’t care about someone who’s only won four fights…” Ren responding dismissively with a grin.

“At least I haven’t yet lost to a Bantamweight,” Clements cooly replying, which draws a nasty scowl across Ren’s face.

“I’ve got three times as many fights as you have, b*tch. Plus I’m the f*cking Ice Queen. If you need a lesson in respecting your elders, I’ll be glad to teach it to you in the ring or otherwise.”

“Bring it on,” Clements calmly replying, taking another step forward and daring the blonde to make the first move.

But Ren simply sets her with a menacing look, then grins devilishly. “Soon. After I’m done with Bella, I’ll deal with you next. Now get the hell outta my ring.”

Petra successfully pulls Clements away from the confrontation, and the two girls don’t break eye contact until they’re well and away from each other. Phew. For a moment we’d thought another fight would be scheduled on the card!
