Before: Novice battle shaping up as boxer vs. puncher as Rimes looks to use her heftier physique to bully willowy Sarah. Polley a poor mans Jennifer  Love Hewitt, has some of the offensive repertoire, but is too available for her opponent’s punches, and hasn’t shown a world class chin in the gym. Leann in white sports bra, navy bikini bottom, Polly in white camisol, panties.

During R1,2: Rimes marauding early mounting a series of crude rushes, reaching in with the left and clubbing right hands to batter Polley all around the ring. Good aggression, but Rimes wide with her shots doesn’t hit as hard as she could if she settled down and paid attention to mechanics. Polley overwhelmed, pushed and punched in wild action early.

R3,4: Sarah takes the third, Leann the fourth as Polly begins to find the range with a pushing jab, holding Leann at arms length for stretches during these rounds, Rimes still able to get inside when she charges, but Polly showing some resiliency, stepping around her foe and showing a little boxing ability in the bargain. Rimes having more trouble with the movement than the punches, but still in control of the bout.

R5: Wheels come off as Rimes brawls with Sarah, girls tumbling along the ropes in a series of tight clinches, but late in the round, Polley scores with lucky lefts and rights as Leann gets beaten to the punch, Polley standing her ground, feet wide apart, churns what appears to be slapping blows up the middle at Rimes, but Leann is caught flush repeatedly, and looks hurt at the bell.

R6,7,8: Sarah slowly separating herself from her opponent, moving laterally, stepping around her foe, picking her spots and laying in with serviceable one-twos over Rime left shoulder. Leanne lumping up in these rounds as she fails to cut off the ring, following Polley around, and getting tagged repeatedly on that left eye. Polley making it a turkey shoot, and by the 8th s really pulling the trigger on a nice straight right hand to the side of Leann’s face.

R9: Shutout Sarah Polley as she records her best round as a pro. Rimes thoroughly discouraged, plods after Sarah, taking cracking one-twos off her face and seeming unable to do anything about it. Polley fighting loose and relaxed, mixes things up with the odd lead right, wide left hook, but always returns to that chipping jab as she moves to her right.

R10: Rimes brawling her way past a tired Polley’s defenses, gets to Sarah’s rib cage with wide lefts and rights, but it’s too little too late. Sarah pulling Sarah pulling on Leann’s head, dances away in the final minute, coughs up the round spirits away the fight by unanimous decision.

After: Mid-round collapse by Leann sees her lose focus and get her ears boxed by the light hitting Polly. Sarah showed good composure in not panicking despite Rimes strong start, and a big (for Sarah) right hand late in the 5th seemed to shake Rimes up, causing the stupor that would cost her the fight.
