Cheryl Cole vs Emma Watson

Cheryl:
(38, 5’3, 39:12 FCBA, Lioness Club)

Emma:
(30, 5’5, 46:28 FCBA, VIXENs)

BEFORE:
A rematch in the making as Cheryl Cole looks to take her record to 2:0 against her fellow Brit, Emma Watson, the former knocking the latter out in eight rounds back in 2016, where Watson was still making her break in the business.

“She’s going down a second time - there’s no doubt about it,” the British singer, songwriter, avid dancer and television personality says first from the press table. Cheryl has no doubt proven her worth, especially in recent months, having arguably positioned herself for a potential showdown against the future Flyweight champion tonight. She continues:

“Emma’s just a baby-faced cut of lamb, don’t ya think? Just look at her? She ain’t a fighter both inside or outside the ring, and she’s about to go down yet again to the biggest Lioness in the business!”

Emma, on the other hand, looks uneasy as she comes into this fight on uneven ground. The Vixen is betting big in her renewed quest for the Flyweight straps, but the field of competition has never been tougher or more varied, with a new challenger appearing every other month.

“When I fought Cheryl last, I was a very different girl. I was a very different fighter. Cole took advantage of that and I paid the price for accepting the fight before I was ready. I can accept that loss now. What I won’t accept is her continued disrespect for a former Flyweight champion. What has Cole done in the past five years, I wonder? If she wants a brawl tonight, she’s going to get one.”

Strong words from both corners, and especially from Watson, who sounds like a far cry from that sweet and innocent persona during their last press conference in 2016. Moments later, the Vixen bares her teeth further with a hard SLAPP! delivered to Cole’s cheek after the Geordie Shore actress decided to continue mouthing off to her face.

Look of outrage on Cole’s face as the older woman registers the shocking move for a millisecond before LUNGING at Watson with both hands outstretched and fingernails bared. The two British starlets CLASH in the middle of the stage in a tangle of tugged hair and torn blouses, but the ring officials immediately leap inwards to physically break up the fight. Oh, it’s ON indeed!

24 hours later, Cole is anxiously pacing in one corner of the ring, teeth bared and not even waving to the crowds when her name is called. The singer may be on the verge of turning 40 but that toned tummy is shown off in a maroon-coloured loose cut-off blouse and silvered bikini briefs. The Lioness is donning red gloves for this contest. At the other end of the ring, Emma is also showing off her feisty personality, pumping both arms in a bicep-flex as her name is called, looking toned and ready to go in a blue sports bra and long grey tights, her hair tied up into a neat ponytail, which she fixes with white gloves.

Without further ado, the referee calls the match to order - HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Cheryl recently floored fellow VIxen, Lily Collins, in under six rounds, so it’ll be interesting to see how long Emma Watson lasts in there with the famed British Flyweight. Cole, for her part, floors the pedal early, preferring to not go toe-to-toe with a younger or taller fighter. She takes a lot of ground early, rushing inwards and throwing rapid combos towards Emma’s head, attempting to control the space. Emma, foolishly, allows this to happen on her watch, and the result is her being overly defensive in the very first round. Cheryl slamming punches into her arms, occasionally the body, but consistently pushes Emma back and across the ring. Watson still has to let her actions match her tough talk, and for now, only manages to squeeze in a couple of combos and flurries in between, once or twice catching Cheryl on the cheek and chin, but otherwise takes a pasting throughout. It looks like this might be one hell of a short round if Cole’s aggression is only going to make the younger British actress run for the hills.

ROUND 2:
Cole tries to go for the same strategy in the second, rushing Emma down and hoping that lightning can strike twice over the windy hills of Dover. Emma, however, responds with a loud shout when a right overhand screamed into her raised arms, and then an uppercut of a right hand that SNAPS into Cheryl’s chin on her landing! OUCH!! Cole’s eyes immediately glaze over as she stumbles back, her head still reeling and arms trying to catch her chin on its downward spiral. HERE COMES WATSON, looking for early payback! The Vixen shows her snarky side as she RAMS a hand into Cole’s right chest, before going to town on the older woman’s head and arms! No rest for the wicked indeed as Coles finds herself on the backburner, hiding her drooping head in her arms and trying to weather the assault from the Harry Potter starlet, Emma sending another hook into the side of her head to send her spiraling into the ropes. Ladies clinch up multiple times in the remainder of the round, with Cole having the good sense to stop the action and catch her bearings, clutching onto Emma’s shoulders and refusing to let go until the referee steps in to reset the pair at too far of distance. For now, Emma evens the score with that surprise performance, and it’s anybody’s story from here on out!

ROUND 3:
Cheryl goes after her younger ward with even more tenacity and fire, storming in with a flurry to the head before not letting up on the punches in Emma’s general direction. When you’ve already beaten girls like Ana de Armas, Lily Collins and Hayden Panettiere just last month, there’s very little that fazes you. She earns a grunt of surprise when a right cross slams home into Emma’s face, the younger Vixen having trouble fending off the constant barrage of punches without incurring some scarring. Middle minute and Watson tries to hold her ground and SWING back, but lets out another yelp as her hook hits home to the side of Cole’s tummy but the Geordie actress and singer immediately rocking her counterpart across the face with one of her own, which whips Emma’s head to one side and sending her further spiraling downwards. Cole gives chase, not letting the pressure up one bit, and Watson has to scramble to cover up her facial features from more jab combos sailing in to the bell. Wide round for Cole, who took only some minor damage to her torso in there.

ROUND 4:
Cole continues to show off her energy and spirit even at the closing age of 40. She staves Emma’s early rush off with a barrage of jabs thrown at her head, a wide hook almost taking her face off when Watson applied the brakes a little too late and had to absorb the blow with her raised arms instead. Cheryl makes the young actress pay for her bravado, snapping her head back with another short but effective punt-hand, which sends Emma packing early. Cole wants to give chase, but is however stopped when Watson regains her bearings too soon, starts keeping her off her tail with jabs and crosses sent up high as well, one or two bashing into her chin but the majority of which hitting her on the arms. Cole ain’t giving up her well-deserved lead, however, pressuring Emma backwards and trying to pin her down against the ropes to end the festivities early, but each time the Lioness lands a crunching shot to the chin, Emma seems to fly into action herself, answering back with a sudden shower of punches that make it difficult for Cole to leap in wholesale. Close round is still awarded to Cheryl at the end of it, but Emma’s fans are definitely seeing some fight left in the Vixen.

ROUND 5:
Looks like Emma ain’t going down without much of a fight either, and she makes Cole work for every inch gained on her this round. Cole’s clearly slowing down after four rounds of non-stop action, and she’s still landing jab-cross combos into the arms and body, but they’re screaming in at a slower rate and speed, furthermore allowing Watson to return fire with left-right punches of her own, the younger blonde drawing an urkk! from Cole’s lips when a particularly nasty shot is shoved into her lips. Cole is being forced to fight a little smarter if she can’t keep pace with her younger counterpart, and that’s fine with Emma, who feels the weight of her fans at her back as she pushes in to take part in the action instead, landing another stiff hook to Cole’s body before trying her luck with a bashing shot across the arms to boot. Cole gets sent off a couple of steps but maintains her posture and poise, and manages to stave off disaster for now, especially as Emma looks set to roar in after her for the kill.

ROUND 6:
Cheryl has some trouble at first as she has to contend with an overaggressive Watson again, who’s moving in like she’s ready to clamp her jaws around her neck for the kill. Emma’s really a different fighter from five years ago when she’d first fought Cheryl, and it shows: the younger Brit is pestering the head with a steady stream of left-right-left combos, lighting up Cole’s tired face and pushing the older Brit back. But Cole has had enough by the middle mark, suddenly skidding to a halt and then unleashing a wild hook back at Watson’s face, which cuts across all the noise and catches Emma on the chin with a grunt. Watson put in her place as she skids to a halt, but the round still ain’t over, and her head is further thrown back by return fire from Cheryl Cole, who growls as she stuns the younger woman with a final straight punt to the tummy, which almost bends Emma over and onto her knees, if it wasn’t for her sudden hold onto the nearby ropes. Plenty of fight left in Cole as well, who returns with a vengeance!

ROUND 7:
Cole would definitely look to continue with her momentum from earlier, but it’s proving more and more difficult with her older body not moving as spritely as before. She scares Emma off early with a couple of sudden lunges at her head, but for the most part, can’t keep Watson from testing the waters again at the end of sixty seconds, with Watson pressing in as she senses an opening, slamming a left shot into Cole’s nose to further disorientate her backwards. Cole has no choice but to retreat and hope that her counterpart will be soon running of steam as well, but Emma persists, leaping in and swinging away at the shorter woman’s battered arms, throwing caution to the wind and landing another stiff blow to the ear, which sends Cole spiraling into the ropes with a grunt. AND HERE COMES EMMA, head dipped low and arms pulled back! She’s wailing away at Cole’s body and chest deep within enemy territory, chin almost cut into the top of the brunette’s head as Cole’s folded over and groaning, hugging her frame as Watson’s punches pound away at her defences! Emma is being relentless, BURYING another one-two uppercuts into Cole’s body before the Liones finally QUITS, her legs crumbling as she FALLS DOWN TO HER KNEES!! It’s one heck of a KNOCKDOWN for Emma Watson! Cole’s eyelids are fluttering even as she stays on her knees, arms wrapped around her body until finally, she collapses over onto her side, lying there completely immobile! Referee gives the veteran fighter the benefit of a 10-count, but Cheryl barely makes it back up to all fours, trying her utmost best to crawl to the ropes for support, but doesn’t recover in time! There goes the final bell! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Emma Watson defeats Cheryl Cole via KO7!

AFTER:
“I knew I had her this time,” Watson beams later to reporters, after leaving the ring in a hail of cheers and smiles. “She fought dirty the last time we met, and should be glad I haven’t sunk down to her level. Us Brits have got to keep our dignity, you know?”

Cole, meanwhile, is trying to catch her breath as she’s helped up from her back by the medics. She rests uneasily against the ropes, still coughing and gasping after seven rounds of hard-hitting action. Much later, Cole has recovered enough to speak to reporters:

“I got a little complacent, maybe. Her stablemate Collins went down easily, as did Twatson the last time we both kicked her ass. Trust me, I won’t be making the same mistake the next time we’re in the ring.”
