Elodie: 31 YO, 5’7 (1.70 m), 7-3-0, & KO since 2021, Italians Boxing Better

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Before: : “Elodie has had a great first year. 10 fights with 7 wins and only 3 losses. That’s excellent for a rookie,” Melissa Benoist comments as she and IBB’s Elodie Di Patrizi meet the press. “However, now it is going to start getting hard because she’ll be fighting me—something with 6 years of experience. I admit I currently under .500 at 14-16, but I think she’ll mnd me a much more difficult opponent to deal with.”

“I have fought veterans before Nicole Scherzinger or Alesha Dixon and beaten them both. I have no fear that I will not be able to deal successfully with Melissa Benoist. You are in for a most unpleasant surprise, Melissa,” Elodie Di Patrizi says confidently

“We’ll just see about that,” is Melissa’s equally confident reply.

Fight night finds Elodie coming to the ring in a white bikini trimmed in black with white gloves and boots (black laces). Her short blonde hair is loose, but ]wetted down. Melissa in a white bikini with a blue leaf pattern with blue gloves and boots (white laces). Melissa blonde hair pulled back in a battle braid. Ring instructions go smoothly. Tap of the gloves and they adjourn to their corners, Then the bell rings…

R1: Melissa bodies up quickly on the Italian singer pumping in hooks to the midsection that sends her stumbling back. Elodie trying to use her jab to slow Melissa down, but Melissa bobbing and weaving to make herself less of a target. This also allows her to fire in quick strikes to Elodie’s jaw and the side of her head, Elodie getting her gloves up to protect her head, but Melissa now works over Elodie to the body scrubbing her stomach, ribs and breasts with sweeping rights and lefts. Time runs out and Melissa has won the round wide.

R2: Elodie comes out with a determined look after being roughed by Melissa in R1. Melissa again comes in a close to start, but this time she runs into smacking straight right that catches her between the eyes. Melissa comes to a stunned halt and Elodie fires in a right uppercut that catches Melissa under the chin. Melissa sent reeling backwards and now Elodie slaps rights and lets against Melissa’s jaw. Melissa ducks away and tries to block more of Elodie’s head shots. Elodie shifts to a vengeful attack against Melissa’s body. Melissa tilted forward, mitts at her ears, but now Elodie slamming hard shots against her left and right side ribs. Melissa just trying to steer clear of the ropes and avoid taking a knockdown punch. Elodie looks strong to the bell and winds round easily on the judges’ cards.

R3: Elodie on the attack, rings Melissa up once again with that clipping right to chin. However Melissa able to strike back with a head swiveling right to Elodie’s jaw. Both fighters seem a bit dazed after the exchange, but quickly shake it off and go at each other in close. Punches now being exchanged to the body. Short hard right s and lefts as the two stand toe to toe and blaze away. Punches seem even until Elodie steps to one side and fires am overhand right that catches Melissa to the jaw. Melissa sent stumbling away. Elodie trying to follow up., but Melissa uses jab to stall her. Bell sounds. It’s a close one, but judges give it to Elodie Di Patrizi by a narrow margin.

RF4: Elodie very aggressive coming out for the new round. She’s swinging big and hard for Melissa’s head, Melissa ducking, dodging and blocking to avoid the big hit. Elodie seems determined to break through and get to Melissa’s chin again. However, Melissa timing Elodie’s rushes and as Elodie again misses with a right to the head, Melissa lands a blockbuster right of her own to Elodie’s own chin. Elodie caught flush and staggers back. Melissa strikes again with two more big uppercuts to the chin AMD DOWN GOES ELODIE! Elodie lands on her back and stares up wonderingly at the lights. Melissa hastens to the neutral corner as referee moves in. Elodie struggling to rise but her bell has definitely bell rung. Every time she tries to rise, she falls back to the canvas. She keep trying though, but it isn’t enough.

“NINE!...TEN!..YOU’RE OUT!” cries the referee.

THE WINNER: MELISSA BENOIST DEFEATS ELODIE DI PATRIZI KO4!

After: “She’s got talent and a big right hand, but she’s still learning,” Melissa Benoit comments after the fight. “I just stayed patient and look for an opportunity and got it.”

“I am not happy I lost,” says an understandably upset Elodie after the fight. “I know I was winning that fight and I got careless. I will learn from this. No more losses!”

Melissa Benoist was able to handle the IBB up-and-comer, but it was not easy. Elodie clearly has punching power, but, as Melissa said, she’s still learning. Hopefully, Ms Di Partrizi will soon be back on the winning track. Meanwhile Melissa can savor a solid win.
