Wallis Day vs. Savannah Chrisley (Results: Lookout! Words: Wiz)

BEFORE:

Pair of blonde beauties with a ton of potential square off in this one. Chrisley's off to a solid start in the FCBA, having won three of four, with the only loss coming to then JMDD Champion Kylie Jenner. Day, meanwhile, has had one of the best 2021s of anyone in the FCBA, having ripped off four straight wins against excellent competition AND gotten signed by one of the organization's elite stables, Lookout! Boxing. And, as you might expect for two fighters who are going as well as these two are, neither are lacking confidence coming in.

"She's plenty good," Savannah admits with a nod. "But, I'm a little thicker, hit a little harder, a little tougher. And, that will make all the difference."

"Here's the difference between me and Savannah," says a hard-eyed Wallis. "I'm by FAR the best fighter she's been in with. And, she isn't CLOSE to being the best fighter I'VE been in with."

ROUND ONE:

Day immediately sets out to dictate terms and does so VERY effectively. She wants to box at range, and, why not? She's demonstrated again and again that she's plenty good at it. Chrisley, meanwhile, wants to get physical, because, she's plenty good at that. Problem is, that's not playing in the first. Savannah gets to spots here and there, gets off with power shots in combination. But. Most of the time, she's got Wallis' left glove in her face. Over and over again, Day snaps that jab, keeping Chrisley off and following on with hard right hands. As the round goes on, Day gets in rhythm, and, in the final minute, she's in total control, buffeting Chrisley with flurry after flurry, even tossing the Atlanta blonde onto the back foot here and there. At the bell, there's no doubt about it. Day. Wide. And up 10-9.

ROUND TWO:

Chrisley a bit less aggressive in this stanza, and, in this case, less is more. Younger blonde's moving the feet more, moving the head more, working hard to slip that jab, get to spots, get off with power. And, all that work pays off. Oh, Wallis is still boxing well and scoring with her gun-platform stuff, but, now, Savannah's able to get her own offense going, givng as good as she gets. Result is a good, two-way round in which both fighters have moments and show all of that potential we've seen in previous fights. Heading into the final minute, it's plenty close, and it's then that Chrisley really gets it going, backing Day up with a series of hard flurries. The British beauty's never hurt, but, the late efforts by Savannah pay off on the cards. When the bell rings, Chrisley's taken it narrowly and evened the fight at 19.

ROUND THREE:

More of the same. Chrisley has found the "Goldilocks" level of aggression here. Not too much. Not too little. Just right. She's able work forward to spots and get off in combination, scoring well with those flurries. Meanwhile, the older blonde continues to work for space and get the better of things when they're at range working off the gun platforms. And, as you might imagine, that all adds up to another good, two-way round between fighters who have plenty of skills and are showing off quite a few of them on the sand in this one. Once again, there's not much in it late in the round, but, once again, Savannah is the one to change that, pressing down a bit harder on the pedal and getting the British beauty into reverse with a series of hard flurries. Wallis is never hurt, but the points Chrisley piles up late are enough to give her the round narrowly and the 29-28 lead.

ROUND FOUR:

More two-way stuff as both fighters have settled in now. Wallis moving a bit more and a bit better, getting used to life on the sand. Savannah picking spots perfectly. She's got the lay of the land now, so to speak, and knows when to make her sallies and how to extend those exchanges as long as possible, piling up every possible point before Day can get back to the range the British blonde wants. It's excellent stuff from both fighters, and both corners have to be happy with what they're seeing, but, for the third straight round, nobody can take control of the thing. This time, though, Wallis is ready for late aggression from Chrisley and she counters it well, giving a little ground, circling right, keeping the range right to the bell and, as a result, grabbing the points narrowly to even things again, this time at 38.

ROUND FIVE:

Both fighters in rhythm now. Lots of movement of heads hands and feet, the latter sending sand flying as the two blondes work hard for position, playing range and angles, boxing well, looking to grab hold of the fight, but finding themselves unable to do so. Again, it's two-way stuff, as both fighters have moments, Chrisley scoring well from hard flurries at middle distances and Day making hay at range, working off that long left jab to build combinations that pile up points for her. But, for the fourth round in a row, there's no space between the two going into the final minute, and, this time, there's perilously little IN that final minute, as the back-and-forth continues right to the bell. When it rings, it's cat's whisker stuff, but it's Chrisley, who's moved into the slimmest of leads once again, 48-47.

ROUND SIX:

Pattern pretty well set as blondes continue to work what's working. Day with the gun platform, building everything off the long, accurate left, getting it in her rival's face, then dropping in hard right hands behind it. Chrisley slipping past that guard to middle distances to get off in hard combination, at times backing up Wallis, forcing her to cover up. And, once again, like we've seen for the past four rounds, there's not a lot in i...BOOM! Right hand, WALLIS and Savannah is HURT! Chrisley stumbles backward and Day POUNCES and DROPS HER TO HER BACK WITH A FIVE-PUNCH FLURRY! Savannah flat on her back in the sand as Wallis heads to a neutral corner. Ref counting down over the fallen American. Chrisley rolls to her belly at six, pushes to hands and knees, then crumples face first back into the sand! It's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is Wallis Day!

AFTER:

Day matter-of-fact in the post. "Like I said," the British beauty says with a smile, "I've been in with better than Savannah. And, I know how to DEAL with girls like Savannah. She wants to get all physical and all that, and it's just about making her work, fighting my fight, and waiting for the opening. It always comes. It came. And, I finished her. It's as simple as that."
