KENDALL JENNER VS MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD

“Santa-Kini” Bout

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Kendall: 24 YO, 5’10 ½ (1.79 m), 37-11, 0, 37 KO since 2016. Girls Friday

Mary: 35 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 55-45-0, 49 KO since 2007, Foxfire Boxing

Before: It’s the Yuletide Season and for the FCBA that can only mean Mary Elizabeth Winstead in a “Santa-Kini” fighting a hot rival in a “Santa-Kini” of her own. This year MEW is facing off against Girls Friday’s Kendall Jenner. The two have fought four times since Kendall joined the Fed in 2016 and they are currently tied at 2 wins each.

The two fighters come to the pre-fight in long robes, satiny red with white faux fur trim for Mary and satiny green with white faux trim for Kendall. They plan to show off their chosen Santa-Kini to their eager fans, but first some banter between the two.

“I admit I was not very friendly to Kendall at first,” Mary says, “she’s one of those ‘famous for being famous celebrities’, but gosh, she can box! I beat her our last time out in October, but that just ties our record at 2-2. I want to be ahead of her and she’s game enough to let me try—and in a Santa-Kini bout. It’s going to be pleasure to put you on the canvas, Kendall.”

Kendall smiles: “Now, Winnie, you know, I beat you in our first Santa-Kini match.”

“Oh, I remember, you took me on that ‘Winter Wonderland Walk of Shame’ with fake snow falling down. I seem to recall the Front Office sent you a janitor’s bill for cleaning up the ring.”

“It was worth it,” Kendall said cheerfully. “and I spent Last Christmas snuggled in front of a blazing fireplace watching that scene again. It’s my very own Holiday Special.”

“Any time you can beat me, of course, it’s special,” Mary retorted. “I do have plans for a Holiday Special of my own.”

“That sounds over-confident to me, but what do you have in mind?”

“Elf Bailee—bring out Merry Mary’s Christmas Special!” Mary called.

From the wings of the stage came Foxfire’s young Bailee Madison in elf costume carrying a body saddle all trimmed in red, green, and white along with a cap with reindeer antlers.

“You understand,” Mary cheerfully told Kendall, “Elf Bailee will bring this out for me--or you (in the unlikely event you win). This way one of us gets a Reindeer Ride and this will surely please all our fans.”

Kendall look dumbfounded, but then smiled: “I got to love you, Mary, you’re goofy at times, but you do have some great ideas. I am sure you will make a great reindeer for ‘Kendall Claus’ as she rides happily around the ring in victory.”

“No it will ‘Merry Mary’ riding Reindeer Kendall around the ring spreading Christmas joy as she goes,” Mary said dreamily.

“Okay, but how about we show our fans what they can expect in the ring,” Kendall said, unbelting her robe and then slipping it off. She was wearing an impressive green bikini with tiny gold stars and trimmed in white faux fur.

“Very nice,” Mary said, unbelting her robe, “but here’s mine.”

Mary let the robe drop to reveal a shimmering red bikini with white faux fur lining and across the bottom in flowing script MERRY MARY.

“I am looking forward to the fight more than ever,” Kendall said and she and Mary shared a hug.

“Well, gosh, isn’t this sweet,” came a voice from the wings with a familiar Australian accent.

“Yvonne Strahovski! What are you doing here?” Kendall asked.

“Yes, Vonnie, why are you here? You aren’t upset that I decided to fight Kendall instead of you, are you?” Mary asked.

“Me? Upset? Oh, of course not,” Yvonne said drawing near. “I don’t mind being pushed aside for your new ‘Bestie’. No, not at all.”

“I am not Mary’s “Bestie’,” Kendall assured Yvonne. “I believe you still hold that dubious honor.”

“It is ‘dubious’, isn’t it?” Yvonne said. “You just never know when Mary will talk you into some crazy gimmick fight—or then ignore you for some new playmate.”

“I was going to suggest a Body Paint on the Beach fight for January,” Mary said soothingly.

“Glad to hear it,” Yvonne said, “but I did want to express my feelings for you two first.”

Then with lightning swiftness , Yvonne drove her right fist into Mary’s crotch and her left in Kendall’s. The two went down in heaps, curling up and moaning.

Yvonne then turned to Bailee Madison who was standing there with her mouth hanging open in shock: “When Mary is feeling better telling her I’ll be waiting for her in January if she wants to do something about this.”

With that the FCBA officials hastily dropped the curtain on the stage as the presser dissolved into chaos. Mary and Kendall soon recovered from Yvonne’s sneak attack and though neither would say so publicly, they both were privately vowing to pay the Aussie blonde back for this scene-stealing outrage.

By the time the fight rolled around, Mary and Kendall were fully recovered and more than eager to put on a good fight for their fans. As promised they came in red and green bikinis respectively. Both had black boots and gloves (red lacing for Mary, green for Kendall). Mary wore her bobbed brunette hair loose but wetted down. Kendall’s dark hair was in a braid interwoven with a green ribbon. They wasted no time getting through the ring instructions and then returning to their corners. The bell rang.

R1: Mary moves out quickly and lights up Kendall with quick jabs to the head and then strikes at Kendall to the face. Kendall trying to swing around Mary while firing counters at her head, but Mary moving her upper body well to make it difficult target. Then Mary fires some crisp hooks into Kendall’s belly to tip the taller boxer forward and then goes after Kendall’s overhanging juggs with rising uppercuts. Kendall trying to pull away while she gains some breathing room, but Mary keeping her under heavy pressure with more body and head shots. Kendall senses she’s being herded into the ropes and takes a stand, fighting Mary with her jab, but Mary using body shots to force Kendall back. However bell rings to end round before Mary can actually get Kendall on the strands. However Mary wins the round wide.

R2: Mary again the more aggressive as the new round begins. She is working Kendall steadily to the body in the opening minute and then suddenly goes to the head. Kendall banged hard to the jaw by quick Mary lefts and rights. Kendall using her jab to try to forced Mary back, but Mary just keeps pressing forward behind a steady punching drumbeat. Kendall just not able to keep the shorter brunette back and she’s eating a lot of leather as a result. Round ends in another wide win for Mary.

R3: Kendall looking frustrated at losing the first round rounds to Mary. Now she shoots out of her corner so she can be the first to start punching. Kendall finally able to use her superior reach to strike at Mary to the face as she tries to come in yet again. Mary recoils with angry red splotches on her cheekbones and forehead. Kendall now moves forward, trying to get at Mary to the head and having some success at batting Mary’s head from side to side with her distance shots. Mary falling back and circling around, looking for opening. Kendall steps forward whacks Mary to the jaw with the right and then the left. Mary finally lunges forward and pounds away at the Jenner juggs. Mary finally able to get Kendall to back up and she presses forward to regain control of the fight. However, Kendall now pounds away at the Winstead juggs and into her belly too. Mary brought to a halt. Kendall and Mary now trading intense body punching in close. Kendall gets an uppercut into Mary’s chin and sends her stumbling back. Mary regroups behind her jab and battles again at toe to toe range. Kendall slowly drives a stubborn Mary back as the bell sounds. Kendall Jenner has won a closely contested stanza.

R4: Mary and Kendall both out quickly, but Mary is able to dodge Kendall’s long range punches and bring ripping right uppercut into her chin. Kendall’s head snaps back and she stumbles backwards. Now Mary is upon her with a barrage of punches to the head and body. Kendall hastily raising her gloves to protect her head and face, but her body now gets the bulk of a withering Winnie Winstead thrashing. Kendall now hunched up, gloves at head and getting pushed towards the ropes. Kendall finally able to deploy her jab to slow up the Mary attack and give herself the chance to scoot away from the ropes. Mary quickly renews the attack, but she’s not able to drive Kendall into the ropes by the time the bell rings. Mary has to settle for winning the round wide.

R5: Kendall and Mary again are out of their corners quickly, but this time it is Kendall who lands the first blow: a crashing right to the jaw that sends Mary spinning away. Kendall moves quickly to pursuit and she pounds away at Mary to the head. Mary crouching down, gloves up high and trying to find an escape route. Kendall able to trap Mary and now shifts to hooks to the body to drive Mary into the ropes. Mary with her buns pressed against the strands, huddles there with her face in her gloves and getting her body pounded by a vengeful Kendall. Mary’s legs staying firm and keeping her up, but she eats a lot of leather before the bell rings. Mary has to grasp the top rope to steady herself before going to her corner. Kendall looking very pleased with herself as she knows she’s won this round by a wide margin.

R6: Mary seems to shake off the beating she took in the last round as she moves rapidly out of her corner at the bell. She and Kendall circle each other warily. Kendall trying to use her longer reach again to keep Mary back. Then Mary ducks under one of these extended punches and slams into Kendall’s stomach with deep digging hooks. Kendall knocked back on her heel and now Mary goes for Kendall’s jaw with right/left combo that sends tremors down Kendall’s legs as she is now floundering back. Mary now pounds Kendall to the juggs and ribs as she is finally able to push Kendall into the ropes. Kendall trying to fight her way off, but Mary keeps pounding her back. Kendall now face in gloves, trying to hunch up to protect her body and use the ropes to keep on her feet. Mary hammers away to the bell and comes away with another round won by a solid margin.

R7: Kendall now pressing hard on Mary as the new round begins. Kendall striking at Mary to the side of the head and then the jaw. Mary trying to fight back with shots to Kendall’s chin and jaw, but Kendall taking the punches and countering hard. Mary giving ground, but keeping to the middle of the ring. Mary now strikes at Kendall to the body, but Kendall replies in kind. This quickly escalates in a furious exchange in close with breasts, bellies and ribcage pounded over and over. Fierce expressions on both faces as they slam leather into sweating bodies. Finally, Kendall begins to push Mary back and it’s just grinding body blows that are wearing the tough veteran down. Mary holding it together, but she’s slowly being out-punched as Kendall’s punch rate is outstripping hers. Bell finally ends. It’s actually close on the judges’ cards, but Kendall Jenner wins a grueling round.

R8: Mary looking stiff and sore as she returned to her corner. Foxfire Lightweight trainer Rachel Nichols leads corner crew’s effort to get her ready. Rachel heard to warn Mary: “You have hurt this girl. She’s wearing you down. You need a big turn-around punch.” Mary nods grimly and comes out looking to get at Kendall’s chin. Kendall moving around very quickly and she’s not an easy target. Mary gets more and more focused on getting to Kendall’s chin. Kendall seems to be patient, just hitting back enough to keep Mary’s attention and Mary makes her move! Mary shoots forward from a crouch, she’s got her right down around her ankles and now brings it up headed for a shattering collision with Kendall’s chin. BUT KENDALL STRIKES FIRST. Kendall rams her own right down into Mary’s rising jaw and connects with a BAM! Mary almost knocked off her feet by the blow and she stumbles away. Kendall slides in front of the wobbly Winnie and quickly unleashes a right/left to Mary’s chin and then a follow-up right uppercut as Mary is toppling back. DOWN GOES MARY! Mary hits the canvas with an impact that bounces her up off the surface before she settles down in a classic starfish KO! Kendall trots off to the neutral corner as referee moves in. Amazingly, Mary stirs and rolls to one side. She looks around groggily and realizes what’s happened. She struggles to rise, but she can’t seem to get her legs to cooperate. The count is rising and Mary’s face shows an agony of effort as she makes a final effort.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!..YOU’RE OUT!!!”

Mary finally erect, but very wobbly. Referee leans over: “Sorry, Mary, you were about two seconds too late this time.” Mary hangs her head and watches as Kendall Jenner mounts the ropes and drinks in the cheers of the crowd.

THE WINNER KENDALL JENNER DEFEATS MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD KO8!

After:

Kendall is obliged to wait for medical staff to check Mary out and pronounce her ready for the post-fight. A rather grumpy Bailee Madison (in elf costume no less) brings out the body saddle all trimmed in red, green and white and the reindeer antlers cap. Kendall has had some ideas on her own. As Bailee and Kendall place the body saddle on a Mary, Kendall adds bracelets of little bells to Mary’s wrists and in a belled choker around her neck.

“I thought jingle bells might be a nice extra touch,” Kendall tells Mary.

“I am sorry I lost, but at least you have Imagination,” Mary says.

Kendall then dons a Santa hat and short red Santa jacket with “KENDALL CLAUS” written across the back in white stitching. Then she mounts Mary and waves the Santa hat. With that artificial snowflakes start falling and the sound system starts playing a custom-made “Kendall Claus is Coming to Town.”

“You really do go all-out,” Mary said.

“Yes, I do. Now giddy-up and start prancing around this ring!” Kendall commands and off they go on a trot around the ring with “snow” falling and that song belting out. (Some in the crowd even join along). They complete one circuit and are about to start again when suddenly something cold and wet starts shooting at them! It’s snowballs! Yvonne Strahovski is at ringside firing snowballs at Kendall and Mary who are too confused to react at first. Then Mary starts for the edge of the ring, but steps on a fallen snowball and her feet slip out from under her. Kendall lets out a yelp and tries to jump clear. Mary and Kendall are down and Yvonne is still pelting them with snowballs.

Mary struggles out of the body saddle, but takes a snowball in the face before she can get at Yvonne. Kendall is crawling towards Yvonne but gets two in the face. Mary and Kendall are spluttering and slipping. Yvonne’s out of snowballs so she drops the bag and sprints out of sight. FCBA Security arrive (as usual) just a little too late to do more than help a fuming Mary and Kendall from the ring.

Skip Tracey of Archer News manages to catch up with Yvonne to ask her: “Why?”

“So I could have a Merry Christmas, too,” Yvonne giggles and cries: “And to all a Good Night!”

“Not if we get our hands on you!” Uh-oh, it’s Kendall and Mary and they have somehow found snowballs of their own.

Yvonne gives a yelp and sprints off into the depths of the FCBA Arena with Mary and Kendall hot on her heels. They vanish out of Skip’s sight. He would have followed, but there are more fights to come tonight. He has to wonder just what happened next….

Quite a fight and that post-fight is bound to be a FCBA Post Fight Classic. As for the fight itself, it was an exciting back and forth bout. The momentum seemed to change with every round, but, in the end, it was Kendall Jenner putting the tough veteran Mary Winstead down and MEW just couldn’t quite beat the count. This is their 5th career meeting and Kendall now has the lead 3-2, but we expect this series is far from over and fans are already looking for the next rematch sometime in 2020.
