Before: Comeback trail for Dani, taking a step back, looking at second tier names and Alyson Hannigan heads that list. “Hannigan’s a quality fighter,” says Dani in preflight, “she’s beaten Tara Reid, Shakira--she comes to fight. I like that there’s no quit in her--I want some quality rounds off a fight like this.” Hannigan upbeat hoping to be catching a downtrodden Dani doubting herself. “I watched that Tiffany Thiessen fight and I think I can do something like that to Dani,” chirps Hannigan, “Tiffany disrespected Dani’s stomach and I will too--I’m gonna bang that tub, see what gives. If I can discourage her down there, get a little give out of her, I can beat this girl.” Hannigan in red bandeau bikini, surfer chick bottoms--Dani in teal bikini top, gray stretch cotton boy cut trunks.

During R1: Oh that pesky Hannigan. Dani surging across the ring--Aly cool, picking her up the jab, stepping to either side, soon has Fishel at the end of her punches. Alyson brisk, right hand at her cheek, pumping stick, hooking off the jab--fists making bright little PIK, PAK noises as she taps at Dani’s ribs and jaw. Fishel coming forward, unmoved by Hannigan’s punches, but not letting her hands go--she’s outworked this round, sending Alyson back to her corner buoyant with confidence.

R2: Better Dani round. Fishel scooting into position, pulling overhand rights hard over Alyson’s jab--Hannigan soaking up a howitzer shot on her jaw, gets turned to her right and put wobbly butt--she does well to keep her feet, maintain her guard and fight back. Dani stepping to Alyson, hooking her body, shooting straight right hands down Broadway--Hannigan can’t stand her ground when Fishel’s getting off. Alyson does get her nickel and dime stuff in--dipping to the side in her tight guard, nibbling at Dani’s ribs, cuffing her belly--not even a twinge out of Fishel as she marches thought this stuff.

R3: Dani keeping the tempo high, pressure on. Fishel able to back Alyson to the ropes, widen her stance and get her hips behind glorious body shots. Fishel ripping at the flanks iof her girl, shaking Hannigan, then coming up tough with uppercuts on the inside, thumping into Hannigan’s perky chest and stubborn chin. Alyson trying to shoe-shine and move--she’s scrubbing Dani’s face in spots, but can’t rattle Fishel--Dani hounding her girl for points in a blue-collar third.

R4: Oh that pesky Hannigan. Alyson fitting the jab onto Dani’s mouth and eyes, stopping her in her tracks, then getting off with deliberate combos to touch the ex-champ up. Short right hand on the face, tapping hook in the ribs, hop to the side behind a flicking jab, in with the straight right again--Fishel covering up, trying to whittle down the ring, but having problems with the volume if not the intensity of Hannigan punching. Aly doing a nice job keeping her back off the ropes, turning Dani, keeping her off balance, and touching her up tic, tac, toe.

R5: Dani moving her head, weaving Alyson’s jab the hooking waist out as bobbing crouch--Hannigan stiffening, visibly shying away from these thunderous claps to her body. Fishel hopping her girl down, eyes bright, staying on the right side ribs with raking, bashing hooks out a crossed-arm stance, battering Hannigan around the ring. Midway through, Fishel punishing Alyson along the ropes--meaty lefts and rights numbing the girl’s biceps, beating her ribs, shaking her up--Aly’s open-mouthed, getting hurt when Dani comes over the top. GLORIOUS right hand blockbuster--Fishel bending in and down with the shot, cracks Aly’s head to the side, puts her out on her feet, sends her crashing to her face as Dani straightens. KO% in spectacular fashion--Dani Fishel.

After: Dani happy, jiggly in her corner as she is hugged and petted by well-wishers--Fishel really getting the kinks out, going at a girl who couldn’t keep her off and exploding the way we haven’t seen in a while. “I just wanted to dominate,” bubbles Dani, “just let loose and have a good time--everything went perfectly tonight.” Not everyone’s impressed--Eliza Dushku later quoted in “Celebrity Ring”: “TE’s finally babying Dani and even when they serve her up a cupcake like Alyson, Dani struggles. Imagine--if Fishel hadn’t pulled the KO out of her ass, Hannigan would have worked her for a decision. That’s pathetic.”
