BEFORE:
Up next we have two fighters who have yet to face off in the ring throughout their careers, with former Bantamweight champion Bella Thorne aiming to put challenger Priyanka Chopra in her place. The two ladies appear cordial enough from their place at the press table, with Thorne giving one of the reporters a serious look as she replies to his question:

"Look, I'm not gonna sugar-coat this: Priyanka is a scary opponent for anyone. She managed to KO Katheryn twice and Kat is a f*cking badass! So, I know what Chopra's capable of. But she should be the one who’s f*cking scared of ME. Not the other way around. I'll know how to deal with her when we're in the ring, but I doubt her 37-year-old ass can handle the best 20-year-old in the division. I'm gonna knock her ass out for Katheryn. I f*cking promise."

Priyanka may be 37 but she’s grinning from her seat at the table like someone who’s twenty years younger. The Bollywood actress and recent better half of Nick Jonas is all-smiles when it’s her turn to respond at the mic, despite Bella’s cutting words earlier:

“That’s nice Bella hon. You actually sound exactly like Katheryn, right before I knocked her out on her arse twice in a row.” The brunette stares directly at Bella with a smirk before turning her attention back to the press. “Thorne may be younger but that doesn’t mean she’s any better. Winnick is one of the heaviest hitters in the business today and she still couldn’t go toe-to-toe with me. What freakin’ chance does Bella have?”

Ladies square off at the podium and it’s a contrast of styles to come: Priyanka a little shorter but definitely packing more muscle in her powerful heavier frame, whereas Bella is lean, mean and bouncing with energy, that tight figure of hers ready to unleash itself once the bell rings later.

Hours later in the ring, both ladies look set for ten rounds of Bantamweight action: Priyanka in a black sports bra and matching fighting gym shorts, a pair of white gloves strapped on either hand, hair in a tight ponytail. Bella knocks together black and purple gloves, matching sports bra and long tights for maximum mobility and style, wearing her hair loose.

Referee waves for the bell and HERE we go!

ROUND 1:
Bella appears to be chilling first, still bouncing left and right as she tries to land some quickfire jabs to Priyanka’s face early. Her strategy going into this fight would be to tire the older woman out, whittle away at her defenses bit by bit before she pounces in for the kill. But Priyanka is also moving fast for someone her age, almost catches Bella on the side of the head with sudden lunges forward, though by the end of the opening round neither woman manages to land anything significant. The judges seem to be on Thorne's side, however, who lands plenty short but effective jabs to Chopra’s face when she was still in mid-swing wind-up, managing to secure the Doll her opening round as planned.

ROUND 2:
Chopra may be almost twenty years older but BOY is she a speed demon in her own right, plenty of wound up muscle just unleashed in short bursts of flurries when Bella isn’t paying attention: another early BLAST to the arms has Thorne in stitches as she gets caught by one such hook combo: a left-right torque to the redhead’s guard that has Bella in full retreat early in this round, before her body taking a further beating when Chopra springs forward hoping to score an early upset. Thorne takes more punishment to her torso but finally gets away from the bigger woman, spending the rest of the round trying to control her advance with jabs from afar. Wide round apiece now as Chopra smiles on her way back to corner when the bell rings, proving that she indeed does have what it takes to hang with a former Bantamweight champ.

ROUND 3:
Adjustment of strategies in order as Bella amps up her speed, stays the hell away from her foe and sticks to her strategy of chipping away with jabs and flurries. Chopra thinks the Doll is ready to go down, charges like a bull right out of the gate but is met by a wall of punches sent towards her head and body, making her grunt as she takes more punishment than she dishes out. Bella’s strategy appears to be working as she picks her opponent off at a distance, all the while Priyanka is still busy hunkering down and making mad blitzes towards her at her own peril. Last minute and Thorne drives her message home, sinks another one-two punches to Chopra’s cheek and lips, staggering the bigger woman momentarily before the three minutes are up.

ROUND 4:
Thorne strides in like last time, looking to continue the abuse by hook or crook. She peppers the Indian goddess with jabs all over her arms, chest and body, slowly but surely driving her back. Priyanka looks to be in trouble for a moment as she fights back without much answer or adjustment to Bella’s attacks. But the second minute sees the HISC starlet suddenly lash out with a cross hand straight to the arms, then another overhand right crashing into Bella’s guard! The force of both punches stun Thorne in place, her eyes wincing as she gets thrown a couple of steps backwards. And suddenly, it’s back to Priyanka’s show! Thorne pushed into a corner as Priyanka lays it in thick to the former champ, lefts and rights driven into her midsection before going after that vulnerable head! Bella’s lead all but evaporates before the bell finally rings - Priyanka’s left her panting hard and bent over the ropes in agony!

ROUND 5:
But that snarl on Thorne's face speaks volumes: she ain’t going down without a fight either. Much more on the line in this bout besides a win or a loss: as Bella said so herself, there’s honour amongst Dolls to be regained tonight, and we all can guess that Ms Winnick is herself watching intently from the front row seats. Thorne puts on a valiant effort, moving fast as she repays Priyanka for her earlier punishment with an increased activity of jabs towards her head and body. All that running and dashing has made the Indian actress hella windied, and she’s reduced to being mostly rooted in one spot this round as Thorne uses her body for target practice, peppering and pounding her frame with a consistent stream of jabs. Tables have turned one more time at the end of this round, with Priyanka looking spent and hanging onto the top rope for support, whilst Bella and Kat share a grin of understanding as the redhead strides back to corner.

ROUND 6:
We’re headed into the second half of this fight as Chopra digs deep and charges at her opponent once again. Bella should watch out for thundering hooks that Priyanka’s sending danger-close to her head, with that much coveted prize of a knockdown still looming for both women. Another right hook snags Bella on the arms by accident and Thorne lets out a shout of pain, getting thrown towards the ropes by sheer force. Just before Chopra can charge in to finish her off, however, Thorne regains her bearings, SCRAMBLES out of the way, leaving a bewildered Chopra crashing into the ropes instead and slow to turn around. Thorne seizing the advantage, batters the brown-skinned goddess’ sides before narrowly dodges out of the way of another return backfist from Chopra. Good lord are these two going at it! Chopra looks subdued on the ropes as she swings even more madly and wild, trying to keep the younger wolf at bay. For the most part, Thorne complies, shocked and winded herself, and the round ends with both women at opposite ends of the ring, panting hard.

ROUND 7:
Chopra isn’t much better this time round, slow and sluggish start out of the corner as Bella leaps forward by contrast with much more vigour, landing a left-left snap combo to the nose before digging a right hand clean into her opponent’s paunch. Chopra grunts, gets thrown about as she swings at the faster woman to no avail: Bella just faster and fresher, easily dodging those lumbering hooks and then planting more leather on her frame. Chopra takes another combo to the nose, her head snapped back painfully with those straight hands landing one after the other, and suddenly she’s wobbly on her feet!! Chopra slumping into the ropes and it’s cue for Thorne to strike! Bella going APE-sh*t on the bigger girl, thrashing her arms left and right with hooks, then digging leather gloves straight into her tummy to finally BOWL the big girl over and DOWN ONTO HER KNEES!

KNOCKDOWN for the former champ as she succeeds in felling a giantess in the first minute of the seventh round! Could this be it?? Priyanka moaning as she cradles her body whilst on all fours, forehead to the canvas and eyes squeezed shut. Referee tries to give her as much time to get back up, but it’s no use! He runs through the count of 10 and desperately waves for the bell!!

Official Decision: Bella Thorne defeats Priyanka Chopra via KO7!

AFTER:
Bella immediately grins as the bell rings, the referee raising her hand in victory. Slight relief on her face soon morphs into cocky celebration, acting as if her win tonight was the only possible conclusion.

She quickly strides over to Priyanka, stomping on the Indian goddess’ back to send her back down to groveling into canvas. Priyanka herself in no frame of mind to protest, can only grunt as her face is driven into the ground, where she can at least hide from her defeat. Bella posing with one foot planted in the small of her back like a flag, the Doll’s tongue stuck out to acknowledge her cheering fans.

Only much later does she release her opponent and head back to corner, allowing the medics to swarm Priyanka, who’s finally turned over and out completely. Not like Thorne cares, the Dollhouse star leaves the ring to some very loud cheers and only stops on her way up the ramp in order to speak to reporters. “I fucked her up pretty good. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, or some sh*t. I mean, she’s f*cking strong and still very dangerous at her age, but she goes down like everybody else. I’m hoping Katheryn can get some revenge on this b*tch very soon. I KNOW she can beat her, it’s not even a question. Priyanka is hella overrated. You can quote me on that!” Thorne chuckles, waving to her fans one last time before disappearing behind the curtains.
A big win tonight for the JMD champion, who amazingly puts the mighty Chopra one loss away from a losing FCBA record. She has the rest of the year to bounce back and we’re pretty confident the HISC star is not going to let that happen. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
