Megan Fox vs Brenda Song II

Megan:
(32, 5’4, 114, 52:28:1 FCBA, VIXENs)

Brenda:
(32, 5’1, 22:30 FCBA, Bazz Fight Club)

BEFORE:
“That loss was a f*cking travesty...” Megan shakes her head from her vantage point at the press table. “...And it was way back in 2011, when I was essentially starting out. It’s not gonna happen again. I won’t allow it.”

“Whether you allow it or not, Megan, the fact is you didn’t last three minutes with me in the ring back then. I wonder how long you're gonna last this time? Six?” Brenda laughs from the other end of the table, referencing her TKO victory the last time these two ladies fought.

We have a rematch tonight between old foes: both Megan and Brenda having come a long way since their fight in 2011. Tonight, nine years later, these two fighters are more mature, fitter and wiser, so we can’t wait to see whether history repeats itself.

In the ring later, Fox in a hot pink bikini set, drawing hoots and whistles when she removes her silky shawl off her shoulders. She straps on black gloves as she sets Brenda with a glare from her corner. Song will be relying on her power in that stocky frame of hers to get the job done again, bunching white gloves together as she bounces about in a black bikini top and short denim shorts.

Referee waves his hands and HERE we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Bad TASTE left in the mouth when Fox didn’t just get knocked down the last time these two fought, but had to be saved by the referee in arguably the greatest upset of Megan’s career. Fox determined to prove that second time’s the charm by NOT engaging Brenda at face value, instead firing jabs at her in rapid fashion, all the while moving and dodging like her second life depends on it. And who can blame her? Brenda back in the day most famous for her powerful hook, flooring countless scores of girls with her stock frame and power swing. Fox is not about to get caught this time, continues to outbox her opponent with plenty of fast-moving jabs before getting out of range of Brenda’s counter-swings. Song for the most part still clinging onto her old strategy of getting in close and then swinging for the fences, hoping to score another upset that never arrives. At the bell, Fox with a slight advantage in points as she raises an arm to the fans. Well, at least she’s managed to survive the first round!

ROUND 2:
Brenda not to be denied, however, moving forward faster and trying to pressure Fox into a corner. If she can’t floor the Vixen in the very first round, well, the second round will do just fine, and equally embarrassing for the former Flyweight champion. Fox is forced to move in order to evade and keep the pace of her attacks up, scoring early with a left-right combo to the lips before she gets blasted to the arms by Brenda’s return hook. The power in that one swing sends Megan staggering to the side as though she got hit by a freight train. Rest of the round plays out similarly, with Fox looking for quick and easy openings and then Song returning the favour by letting rip her strength when Fox is least expecting it. Not much damage scored both ways this round, but it’s clear that neither girl is going down without a fight.

ROUND 3:
And THERE we go… Song maintains her strategy which pays off early with a BLAST to the nose that has Megan squirming backwards with a shocked expression on her face. She’d expected another hook sailing in from the side, but pays for her carelessness as Song disrupts her own strategy! Fox clings on for survival as she goes scooting backwards, with Brenda chasing after her and slamming more powerful shots into the middle of her arms, occasionally scoring to the pit of the stomach as she drives Fox all about the ring. The last thing the Vixen wants of course is to get caught in the mud in close quarters, and she’s definitely been warned by her own corner about getting sucked in for the clinch. Thankfully, Fox manages to establish her distance in the final seconds of the fight, lightly tapping on Song’s nose with long distance jabs as the smaller Song keeps trying to rush her.

ROUND 4:
Brenda can’t keep the pace up forever, of course, takes some damage to her face as she tries to rush Fox for the upteenth time this round, pays for it as Fox’s stamina takes the spotlight: Megan keeps her distance and allows her opponent to do her dirty work, with Song finding her swings swatting at air and instead, Megan shoving clean hands into her lips and nostrils, making her grunt out loud from the damage received. Last minute and Song finally stays back, panting hard behind her raised gloves. Both women have done some lasting damage here, and we’re not even past the halfway mark!

ROUND 5:
Song needs more time to recover breath as evident by her slow start out of the corner. Her chest is heaving with deep breaths as she keeps to her tactic of trying to overwhelm Fox with power and strength. Fox however is the more seasoned of the pair by this point of their careers, calmly skirts around Brenda’s rushes, swerves her torso to the left and then back as another hook sails danger close. Megan however not herself idle, intersperses her fast footwork with sudden hooks that nail Brenda on the chin, then an uppercut lands hard on the jaw as Song is forced to grimace and retreat. It’s the first time in this fight that Fox goes on the offensive, pestering the brunette’s head continuously with jabs or shoving leather into Brenda’s face, till a final three-hit combo to the nose does the trick: Brenda sees stars as she goes stumbling backwards, then FALLS BACK ONTO HER BUM!!

It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Megan Fox! Could this be the sweet revenge she was looking and bragging for?! Brenda is still panting hard as she lies flattened out on her back, struggling to support her upper torso, head or even get back into a sitting position. But it’s all for naught: referee diligently counts her out all the way to 10, as Fox throws her hands up in celebration! It’s over!

Official Decision: Megan Fox defeats Brenda Song via KO5!

AFTER:
A comeback indeed and sweet validation for Megan Fox in her already illustrious career. She leaves Song sputtering by the ropes, completely ignoring the woman who snuffed out her prospects back when these two were still starting out in the business.

Song on the other hand is just glad it’s over, tended to by medics and her own fight team, wondering whether her path over the last ten years could have gone differently if these two had swapped places!
