Before:

“I know that once Taylor joined Fates, she’s been viewed as the franchise fighter, the undisputed number one of the stable,” Emily tells the press, “and she has been no less than exceptional. But I was the one putting Fates on the map before she was even here. I was the one who proved to her that it would further her career to join. And she has gone on to set the record for most consecutive title defenses. She’s beaten her nemesis, Kendall Jenner. She evened the score with Adriana Lima. She defended her title against Alexis Ren and claimed the Queen of the Ice Hotel by beating her again. But Taylor’s never faced me, someone who has been making a case for herself. Tonight, we will find out who the number one and franchise fighter of Fates is.”

Taylor smiles, picks up the mic, and responds, the excitement clear in her voice. “It is true that you have been tremendously successful, Emily. But not as successful as I have been. And I know that you’ve been eager to claim a title for a while now. But you’ll have to wait a bit longer. You aren’t good enough. First you lost to Ambrosio. Then it was Lima. And now Courtney Tailor is January, a girl who primarily fights at JMDD? That is not a recipe for winning the title.” Emily gasps as Taylor continues, “My record will continue after tonight and will be ten consecutive defenses.”

DiDonato stunned from Swift’s words, and after searching for a response, just says, “We’ll see. There won’t be any punches pulled,” before the brunette model gets up and leaves as the blonde singer raises her eyebrows.

Come time for the fight, the FCBA arena is buzzing as for the question is whether or not Taylor Swift can fully clean out the top ten lightweights in her path of destruction, and whether or not Fates’ original wonder fighter in Emily DiDonato can stop Swift’s reign. In one of the eternal themes of the FCBA, it pits a blonde against a brunette for hair color supremacy. And for the first time in a long time, a title match will be a stable civil war. The announcer speaks into the microphone above the din of the crowd and the voice booms through the arena.

“And now, for the lightweight title match.” The crowd cheers. “Introducing first, the challenger. From Goshen, New York, standing at 5’10”, ranked fourth by BWO, ninth in the pound for pound rankings, and fifth per Tess Valmore, boasting a record of 18-7 since 2017, from Fates Boxing, the Goshen Goddess,” the crowd gets louder, “Emily DiDonato!”

The crowd roars it’s approval as Emily DiDonato steps out of the back in a blue robe, accompanied by her fellow brunette stablemate who also was one of the original members of Fates, Elisabeth Olsen. DiDonato confidently makes her way to the ring to the chants of “Goddess, goddess, goddess,” and the brunette model takes off her robe to reveal a pink sports bra and trunks with matching gloves, her hair up in a bun for the match and her eyes with a look that could kill. The crowd keeps the noise up for a minute until it dies down again.

“And her opponent, destined for stardom. From Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Standing at 5’11”, ranked as the number one lightweight by Tess Valmore and second in pound for pound, boasting a record of 41-18 since 2009. She is the current Queen of the Ice Hotel, is the current record holder for most consecutive title defenses at lightweight, and is the reigning lightweight champ who is looking to add to her record tonight, the self proclaimed Alpha Blonde and Queen of the FCBA, Taylor Swift!”

The crowd goes nuts as the champ is announced, the music blares “Ready For It,” and Taylor Swift steps out from the back, accompanied by fellow Fates blonde Brie Larson. Swift strides confidently to the ring, title around her waist. The crowd cheering Taylor’s name as she steps into the ring and takes off her robe to reveal a purple sports bra and black trunks, with black gloves that have purple trim. Taylor shows off the title to the crowd before stepping in front of Emily, and coolly says, “Don’t take it personally” before handing off the belt. DiDo just stares Swift down as the ref gives final instructions. Swift holds out her gloves and after pausing, DiDonato bumps her gloves against the champ’s. The bell rings and off we go!

Round 1:

Swift and DiDonato quickly step out of their corners - Emily steps to her right as she tries to circle Taylor, but the blonde champ catches Emily with a vicious straight right to the nose, snapping Emily’s head backwards. Brunette model shifts her guard up slightly and Taylor goes body, plugging a left into DiDo’s stomach and a right to the ribs, knocking her stablemate into the ropes and on comes Taylor! Swift fires off quick body shots, sprinkling in a couple shots for the head as the singer looks to make quick work of her stablemate. DiDo clinches with the blonde, a look of exasperation on her face, and she forces a break. Referee steps in and separates the two girls before letting them resume their fight. Out of the break, the two fighters pause, looking to see who makes the first move. Emily steps her right again and Taylor shoots out another right jab - and Emily deftly pulls her head out of the way as but this time, Emily was ready for Taylor’s blow and sticks a left to Swift’s chin and following up with a right to the blonde’s ribs. DiDonato repositions her feet, but Swift can reset more quickly and tags DiDo with a right to model’s chin. Emily quickly backpedals our of Taylor’s jab range, having seen plenty of girls on the wrong end of the blonde’s blows. Taylor chases Emily around the ring, landing a couple of blows that follow feints, but never without a response from Emily. The bell rings and the referee quickly gets between the two as they go back to their corners. Taylor Swift takes the opening round over her stablemate, wide.

Round 2:

DiDonato keeps her distance from Swift as the second begins, carefully keeping just out of reach of the blonde’s famous jabs. Both girls circling clockwise, feinting as they both look to get the other to react first. DiDo fakes right, Swift doesn’t take the bait, and the brunette quickly steps forward and sticks a left into the champ’s torso before retreating. Taylor keeps calm and the two girls return to circling. Emily darts to her left and comes up with a punch that glances off of Taylor’s chin and Swift counters with a right to Emily’s ribs as the two girls close in on each other. Both Fates fighters practically chest to chest with each other as they work the short range game and DiDo starts to work Swift’s body, but Taylor’s doing the same back to her. Emily takes a quick step backwards and fires off an absolute rocket of a right into Taylor’s nose as the champ gets caught off guard by the Sports Illustrated model’s quick blow and is forced to retreat. Swift backpedals around the ring as DiDonato pursues her, quickly stepping to cut Swift off and she takes a right straight to the mouth. Taylor steps forward - and the bell rings! “Darn time,” Swift mutters as she returns back to her corner where Larson is already shaking her head, thinking Swift would have won the round if it were a few seconds longer. DiDonato returns to Olsen with a sigh, but her expression brightens up when she hears she got the round, close.

Round 3:

The third round starts as the second - both girls circling each other, feinting, looking for an opening. Swift steps forward and DiDonato pops a quick left into the blonde’s mouth, busting open her upper lip. Swift may be famous for her long legs, but the model has some legs of her own and used them to her advantage as Taylor drops back the brunette closes the distance between the two. Taylor and Emily dance around the ring until DiDonato cuts Swift off in a corner. The champ keeps her gloves up and Emily goes body, thumping Taylor’s torso with two short range rights before throwing a left at Taylor’s head. Swift blocks the blow and tags DiDo’s left cheek with a right, forcing the SI model to back off and put her gloves up. Taylor gets out of the corner and quickly strides to her left and digs a right into the brunette’s body - but Swift leaves herself open to an absolute haymaker from DiDonato and the Alpha Blonde is rocked back into the ropes by the Goshen Goddess! Emily quickly pounces, driving two lefts into the blonde’s ribs, but Taylor is quick on the clinch, even as she snarls from her stablemate’s blows. The referee breaks the two girls apart and they circle each other as the final seconds of the round dwindle away and the bell rings. Both Fates fighters go back to their respective corners, and while Emily may have come out a bit slow to start the fight, she’s beginning to show why she had a 14-3 year in 2019 and how she put Fates on the map by winning the round, wide.

Round 4:

In the blonde corner, Larson tells Swift that if she wants to keep the title, she needs to start using her reach - even if she is one of the taller girls of the division, Emily’s blows pack a serious punch. Meanwhile, in the brunette corner, Olsen tells DiDonato to keep up the pressure and keep relatively close to Swift. Both girls get off their stools, their skin glistening from sweat. Both girls charge forwards and Swift launches the first blow, a jab that whizzes by DiDonato’s ear as the brunette shifts her head just enough to avoid the blow. DiDo launches a right off her back foot and catches Swift in the mouth and pops a straight left into Swift’s cheek. Taylor drops back, Emily advances adjusts her feet, and promptly takes a nasty right hook as Taylor plants her feet and the brunette wobbles, staggering a couple steps backwards as she regains her balance. Taylor quickly crosses the ring, putting her long legs to work, and nails Emily with a left to her chin, knocking Emily into the ropes. DiDonato bounces back out against Swift with a left that skims off of the blonde’s cheek as she lunges for the champ - and she shouts out as Taylor drives a right straight into Emily’s rack, making a dull thudding noise as the challenger is forced backwards by a foot - and then another vicious smack as Swift’s left connects with the model’s jugs. DiDo’s arms instinctively drop down two inches and that’s all the opening Swift needs to throw a one-two hook and DOWN GOES EMILY ONTO HER BELLY! Taylor shouting “That’s ten! Double digit defenses!” as she looks at DiDonato before heading to the corner. The ref starts his count over a stirring Emily. One. Two. SI model moving her arms. Three. Four. Emily picks her head up and sees Olsen, screaming, “Get up!” Five. DiDonato onto all fours, breathing heavily, her sweat glistening under the lights. Six. Seven. Emily plants one foot down as she gets to one knee. Eight. DiDo gets her other foot underneath her and stands up as a look of mild irritation creeps across Taylor’s face. The ref checks in on Emily, and the brunette merely tells him, “I’m good,” and after looking the model over, the ref allows the fight to continue. Taylor gracefully strides across the ring with her long legs – and gets smacked by a right from Emily. Brunette girl steps forwards, grazes the blonde singer’s chin with a right, and takes a massive straight to the mouth and nearly goes down again! The ref’s watching this carefully as on comes Taylor - and the bell rings! The Goshen Goddess is mercifully saved by the bell, but she’s in dire straits. Swift’s practically prancing to her corner as DiDonato pants on her way back to Olsen, her head hanging low after a strong showing by Taylor.

Round 5:

DiDonato breathing heavily as she gets off her stool and the whole audience can practically see Swift’s eyes light up and the singer lines up her stablemate in her sights. Emily knows Taylor well enough to know that the singer will be looking for the finishing blow, and the first minute of the round consists of Taylor chasing her stablemate around the ring and throwing punches as DiDonato desperately tries to avoid the blows or absorb the impact with her guard. DiDonato’s breathing heavily and she begins to slow down – and Swift cuts off the brunette courtesy of a long stride by the leggy blonde pumps leather between Emily’s guard and into the brunette’s mouth. DiDonato’s upper lip lets out a trickle of blood as the brunette instinctively moves her arms up, giving up her body and Swift’s eyes grow wide as she sees the open body of her stablemate. Swift feints high and goes body, driving two punches right into the Goshen Goddess’ body that make the model gasp. Emily desperately lashes out with a left that catches Taylor in the jaw, momentarily knocking her backwards. DiDonato steps forward and lets a left loose, but Swift deftly sidesteps the blow and whacks Emily across the chin with a right that nearly drops the brunette and Emily’s back into the ropes, covering her face! Referee’s watching closely as Taylor charges forwards and sends two rights straight into the model’s jugs! Whether or not these two girls stay stablemates and friends after this fight as Emily lets out a shout as she takes the blows and wraps Swift up. The bell rings and the two girls separate, but before Emily can return to her corner, Taylor tells her: “You should have stayed down.” Swift may be right, given that she wins the fifth by shutout, but it can’t be good for stable cohesion as she looks to finish off DiDonato.

Round 6:

Swift steps out of her corner with a fire in her eyes, staring down a weary DiDonato. Taylor moving gracefully, bopping left and right, seemingly able to land a punch on her stablemate whenever she wants to in the first minute. Emily wincing as Taylor hammers blows to her ribs and chest. Olsen’s screaming at DiDonato from the corner to counter Swift, if only to limit the incoming damage. Blonde singer keeping a good distance from the brunette model, shifts to her right and lands a blow to Emily’s chin, but DiDonato takes the blow and comes back at Taylor with a straight that catches Swift by surprise. Emily follows up with a right to the blonde’s ribs before Taylor regains her composure and literally beats Emily to the punch with her extra range. DiDonato on the retreat and Swift steps up, feinting with her left – and getting smoked by a DiDonato right! Emily stepped forwards and caught Taylor and Swift’s famous legs are wobbly! Taylor throws an off-balance right that Emily dodges and the brunette connects with a haymaker to the champ’s jaw that shows off the model’s power AND DOWN GOES SWIFT! Taylor knocked down as Emily retreats to the corner and the ref starts to count. Swift is shaking her head as Larson screams at her to get up. By the count of six, Swift is on her left knee with her right foot on the ground, and by seven, the blonde forces herself up. Taylor a bit unsteady, but both she and the ref think she’s good to go, and Swift keeps her distance for the waning seconds of the round, using her jab to keep Emily away. DiDonato steals the round thanks to the knockdown in the third minute and showed why she has risen so quickly in the lightweight division.

Round 7:

Now it’s DiDonato who has a spring in her step out of the corner and Swift who’s keeping her distance, using her jab to keep Emily away. Brunette model confidently moving around the ring and keeping pace with Taylor’s moves, despite the blonde using her famous legs. Swift fakes a right jab and lands a left square into DiDo’s right cheek. Taylor takes a big swing with her right and Emily drops back out of the punch’s range, causing the singer to whiff completely and leave herself turned to the brunette girl. The Goshen Goddess quickly steps forward and smacks the Queen’s jaw with a right that nearly drops the blonde! Swift covering her head up and gives up her body, and DiDonato hammers two rights straight into Swift’s torso, driving the singer back into the ropes where she’s able to keep the blonde for a few more strikes before the singer clinches and takes a while to let go after the ref gets involved. Once she’s able to do so, DiDonato goes right back after Swift, faking for her head before plugging leather into body, drawing out a cry from the champ as she finds a tender spot and the blonde girl again clinches with Emily, holding on for the final seconds. The bell rings and both girls go back to their corners, but their expressions tell the story. Swift hanging her head low while DiDonato walks back quickly, a look of determination in her eyes after winning the seventh round by shutout.

Round 8:

The abuse of the previous seven rounds is apparent as both girls’ skin shines with sweat, their weary legs taking them out of their corners noticeably slower than before. DiDonato getting used to not having the longer reach, settling into a fight of hit and run offense, getting close enough to stick Swift with a lick or two and then get out. Swift identifies DiDo’s strategy though, and the blonde keeps everything tight, never giving Emily an opportunity to take advantage of any lunges. DiDonato just going for body at this point, rapping her punches off of Swift’s ribs and torso. Blonde girl gets some separation and snaps Emily’s head backwards as the model steps forward as she looks to dart in. Taylor follows up with a vicious body shot that knocks the air out of Emily, drawing a pained shout from the model. Swift plugs body again, this time a glancing blow off of DiDonato’s ribs as the model shifts slightly to the side and Taylor’s a bit extended – and Emily punishes her with a short left to the jaw and a big right to Swift’s midriff that now makes Swift shout out in agony as the bell rings. Swift wincing as she makes her way back to Brie Larson, and while she won the round on points, close, one has to wonder if DiDonato’s pounding finally got Swift into a vulnerable position.

Round 9:

Both girls push themselves out of their corners breathing heavily, the pain of the previous rounds even more obvious than before. The brunette DiDonato gets to the center of the ring faster and quickly lets a right fly at Swift’s head. The blonde singer gets out of the way and responds with a right of her own that knocks Emily in the head and DiDonato is hurting! Emily dropping backwards, gloves up protecting her head and Swift looks for the kill, firing a left that gets Emily’s body and then a right at the head – but it bounces off of Emily’s guard as the model drops back. DiDonato plants her feet as Swift steps forwards and the blonde throws another right – but it sails wide as Taylor takes a big right straight to her solar plexus and nearly goes down! DiDonato found an opening and now Swift is desperately trying to cover both her body and her head and on comes DiDonato! Emily slides a left through Taylor’s attempt at a guard and sticks the champ in the nose. The ref’s watching carefully and DiDonato feints right and sticks a second left to Swift’s face, this time getting the blonde’s jaw. Taylor tries a desperate counterpunch that is telegraphed from a mile away and Emily merely bops her head out of the way before connecting with a left hook and a right uppercut AND DOWN GOES SWIFT! The blond girl’s famous legs give out as Taylor Swift lands on her back with a THUD, her legs splayed out, arms on the canvas, her gumshield loosely hanging out of her mouth for a second before it too falls to the canvas. Elizabeth Olsen has her hands up while Brie Larson has her head in her hands. The only thing about Taylor Swift that is moving is the rise and fall of her breasts with each breath, but that’s it as she was out when she hit the canvas and you might be able to count to a hundred for her. The ref takes one look and calls it! Your winner by KO9, the one who ended Taylor Swift’s unprecedented lightweight title defense streak at nine consecutive wins, AND THE NEW LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION, THE GOSHEN GODDESS, EMILY DIDONATO!

After:

The crowd has a moment of stunned silence before erupting while the scene in the ring is a tale of two stories. Emily DiDonato has tears in her eyes as screams “F*ck yeah!” and hugs Elizabeth Olsen while Brie Larson scrambles out of Taylor Swift’s corner with the medical staff to tend to the fallen champion. Emily gets the belt, takes a look at the title, then raises it up for the crowd to see as she mounts the ringpost, basking in her moment of triumph, defeating her stablemate and ending Taylor Swift’s record setting title defense streak at nine, denying the blonde singer the chance for a double digit record. Swift slowly brought back around, and once the singer has enough strength in her arms, she brings them up to her face. Once DiDonato has posed on every ringpost, she goes over to Swift to check in on her stablemate.

Tears are streaming through Taylor’s hands, and when Emily taps Swift on her shoulder and the singer sees who it is, she yells between sobs, “NO! NO! I DON’T WANT TO TALK TO YOU! YOU TOOK MY F*CKING TITLE! YOU, A PATHETIC SECOND-RATE MODEL!” Larson steps between the two girls to avoid any confrontations and mouths, “Sorry” to Emily as the brunette model merely shakes her head and exits the ring, title held high above her head.

“Taylor’s been talking a lot of smack lately, and she wasn’t able to back it up against me.” DiDonato candidly tells the press. “She’s still my stablemate, she still has the record for most consecutive lightweight title defenses, she’s still an amazing fighter. But I was better. And I think I proved all the doubters wrong, all those who said I couldn’t win a big match when it mattered. Well, I just did. You look at who Taylor beat. She beat Alessandra Ambrosio to win the title. Then she beat Katy Perry, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Ren, Anllela Sagra, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Missy Peregrym, Adriana Lima, her nemesis Kendall Jenner, and Yvonne Strahovski again. That’s an all-star list, and if I had to bet money, there are at least three future hall of famers on that list. But she had never faced her equal at lightweight until I dealt her her first loss at lightweight as a member of Fates. She’ll be back, but right now, it’s my time.”

With that, Emily DiDonato leaves the press conference, being the one to beat the one to set the record and seemingly having Fates Boxing’s lightweights fighting amongst each other in a near civil war. Taylor Swift’s lightweight title reign is over, but Fates’ lightweight title reign continues. The question is – who can stop DiDonato to end the reign of Fates fighters?
