BEFORE:
"Surprisingly, I think Tess Valmore said it best this time - I'll be reducing King to rubble tonight. Just like I did Williams,” Emma Roberts fires the opening salvo as a cocky smirk adorns the actress’ face during the press conference earlier. “If anyone thinks I'm giving up on the division belt anytime soon they are clearly delusional. I'm going to be the first Dollhouse Flyweight champion. It's not going to be Maddie, it's DEFINITELY not going to be Avril – No. It's going to be ME."

Bold words from Miss Roberts, who, at this point, might be trying to convince herself after having fallen short on three separate occasions so far, and having to go through fellow Dollhouse Flyweights in order to get yet another. Her opponent tonight, on the other hand, doesn’t seem too bothered about title belts or making it to the top of the league ladder, with Joey King kicking back at the table and letting Emma self-implode on the other end.

“Look, Emma… This year I went through…Mila Kunis in 6, Florence Pugh in 5…and Danielle Campbell in 4. What did you do? You won 1 fight out of 4. If you ask me, the only one who maybe deserves a title shot in this room is me. I’ve got to admire Emma’s tenacity though, she’s got it in her head that girls are terrified of her, and she’s going with that.” Joey chuckles. “It’s cool. I’m not scared of you and your threats, even if I lose tonight, I’ve got a long career ahead of me. I can and WILL beat you, whether it’s tonight or some other night we’ll have to wait and see. But I’m betting on tonight.”

Emma fuming as the two ladies meet at the podium, glaring daggers at each other and posing with their fists too close to the other girl’s chin. It’s true that Joey has had a much better year than Emma, but you also have to account for the quality of one’s opponents, with Roberts falling to someone like Dove Cameron in her last outing being nothing to laugh at.

Fight night rolls around and Joey enters the arena all smiles and energetic, her brown hair braided with an olive green bikini top and matching green and black tights covering her toned body as the brunette raises her black gloves to the cheers of the crowd and waves at them as she makes her way towards the ring accompanied by her team.
Emma comes through the velvet curtains next, all business-like and showing little empathy or interest in acknowledging the crowd. The ‘Ice Queen’ is accompanied by Electra and the Dollhouse team, looking determined to turn her fortunes around for the rest of the year and she doesn’t waste any time with pleasantries, instead making a beeline straight to the ring. Emma definitely has to make some noise tonight if she wants to toss her lot into the Flyweight hat title mix again this year. Roberts climbs into the ring with her eyes fixed on the prize (which tonight, is Joey King), looking battle-ready with her blonde hair in a tight ponytail, clad in a baby pink sports bra, long white tights and matching boxing gloves.

Referee brings this next match on the PPV to bear, ordering both girls to their corners and then getting the mutual nod of consent to kick things off. There’s the wave of the hand, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Little respect for Miss King, as Emma is seen striding in from the get-go, looking like she wants to brawl and maybe even knock the cocky actress off her feet in the very first round in order to signal her comeback. First few jabs slam into the arms as Roberts gets busy, trapping Joey against the ropes and giving her very little breathing space for now. King doesn’t seem too troubled, however, locking arms tight and moving in tandem, blocking those early attacks and then suddenly dishing her own punishment back, a stiff right sailing into the nose, much to Emma’s shock! The Doll probably didn’t think the other girl had it in her, much less power in King’s small frame. She’s sorely mistaken, however, as Joey begins to up her tempo immediately after, shocking Emma with a left-right combo to the chin, before another right glove sinks into her chest to drive her backwards. Roberts can be heard cursing out loud as the tables are turned on her on a dime, and she spends the rest of the round trying to cover up and defend against this unexpected onslaught. Bell rings and King has taken it wide, spoiling Roberts’ plans for world domination!

ROUND 2:
Things have gone south for Roberts indeed, and the Doll spends a large portion of the second defending against Joey’s mix of overhand punches and hooks that crash into her guard, one or two errant swings making it around her arms and connecting with the side of her head. First minute had both ladies CLASHING repeatedly in the center of the ring, Emma’s pride not letting her foe get away with murder so easily, deciding to stride in and hang-and-bang with the Emilia Empresses’ starlet. King, however, matches her blow for blow, and after several thunderous shots across the face and body, it’s Roberts who gets thrown off to the side by a mighty hook catching her off the temple. Not looking too good for Roberts if she can’t match Joey’s firepower, but also her strategy to deal with her foe at longer range. Emma resorts to jabbing judiciously at the American actress’ head, doing her best to crunch fast jabs into the face whenever King winds her own punch up to try and land the killing blow. It’s a closer round at the bell for Miss King, though that’s two rounds in a row now that Emma has foregone.

ROUND 3:
King is looking splendid indeed, poised to add yet another famous scalp to an already impressive collection. Emma’s staying at a comfortable distance in the first minute, ready to fire and spit at Joey’s face if she decides to rush in towards her again. But King’s also not a dumbass, exchanging fire with Emma, using that left hand to lead and paw outwards, tagging Emma on the cheekbone and forehead multiple times as well. Emma’s aggression and pent-up rage, however, give her the slight advantage in each exchange, the Doll returning with a barrage of lefts and rights each time they clash, with Joey eating a stiff glove shoved into the lips before her tummy gets pounded on by another flurry of wild shots thumping into her abs. Emma pushes through the fog by sheer dumb tenacity, taking the first round of this fight for herself by a close margin, but still not looking too pleased with the result.

ROUND 4:
How is Emma going to turn this match around, we wonder, with King already squaring her shoulders and ready to march right back in, looking to brawl? Roberts pedals backwards, both arms also up and already covering her head as multiple swings from King streak in but are easily avoided, Emma swerving to one side or intercepting the attack with a raised hand. King still has to get closer if she wants to utilise her power and dominate, and Roberts ain’t making things easy for her. Second minute and Emma starts to land more punches than her opponent, driving another stiff right cross into Joey’s chin, and then a follow-up hook grazing the cheek, drawing a loud grunt from King’s lips. This might be Emma’s opportunity here, if she can remain calm and calculated. King’s already put up both of her arms in a defensive stance, giving Roberts plenty of opportunities to target her body and chest instead, as the Doll pounds away for a good thirty seconds with glee, driving the air from Joey’s body and at the same time, pushing her back towards the ropes. King’s suddenly in trouble, gasping as another low hook smacks into her ribs, and she lowers her guard just enough for one of Emma’s CRUNCHING hooks to land flush on her face, and THERE SHE GOES!! King got swerved 180 into the ropes, bouncing chest-first off the top rope and then crashing to the ground, on her face! And just like that, Roberts scores the first KNOCKDOWN of this fight! Will it be enough though?!

Emma was definitely expecting more out of this fight, giving her handiwork a curt nod before walking back to the neutral corner to catch her breath. Meanwhile, Joey King’s face remains glued to the canvas, her cheek planted flat and her eyelids fluttering wildly… Either Roberts packed one helluva punch back there, or this might be one of those freaky flash KOs everyone talks about in some MMA fights. Or… it could be the simple fact that this Doll is one HECK of a fighter, and is willing to do anything to claw her way to a comeback! Finally, the referee calls the rest of the fight off at the count of 10, raising Emma’s hand high into the air! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Emma Roberts defeats Joey King via KO4!

AFTER:
The Dollhouse’ ‘Ice Queen’ is back in business with two straight and cutthroat wins against good competition in Williams and King, and she might just save 2022 for herself after all, following a disastrous start that had people doubting her fighting shape and spirit.

Emma all business after the win and business for her means making her victory loud and clear – the petite blonde walks over to her fallen opponent, plants her snow-white boot on the defeated brunette’s back and poses for the cameras with her hands on her hips, basking in the adoration of the crowd for a few long seconds before finally allowing the referee to lift her arm up and officially declare her the winner of tonight’s contest!

As Joey’s team swarm in to revive their fallen fighter, Emma is surrounded by microphones and the Doll is as cold as ever as she gestures dismissively at the unconscious King. “I’d say that constitutes a rubble…. Get her some help, she looks DEAD. Fingers crossed she makes it.” Roberts chuckles before grabbing a microphone right out of a reporter’s hand and looking straight into one of the cameras.

“This is just a reminder for those dumb enough to think I’m washed up or whatever ridiculous thoughts people have these days just because I dropped a few fights….if anyone wants to test me, just give my management a call. I’m SO looking forward to growing my new winning streak.”

Roberts then waves to her fans, breaking a smile for the first time tonight and blowing kisses as she hastily thanks them for coming to support her before signaling to her team she’s done here and quickly exiting the ring, making her victory march towards the backstage followed by Carmen and the team, leaving another defeated opponent behind as her fans continue chanting her name even long after she disappears from sight and into the backstage area.
