Madison Pettis vs Cheryl Cole
(The Wannabees vs Lioness Club)
(4-6, 4 KO vs 44-15, 44 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: It's been a while since Madison Pettis' last fight but the Texas native claims she never left the boxing universe and comes in more than prepared to face the Geordie veteran Cheryl Cole. The former Girls Aloud singer is no stranger to fighting younger opponents in recent months and she plays down the upset potential: "Maddy has no quality wins if we consider Dove Cameron was a complete punchbag back in 2019. She wants to buy low and sell high but she couldn't last four rounds versus that creampuff Maisie Williams last time out. Sheesh, that's ugly! Maybe she'd be better off working as ring girl? I'm really gonna blow her up tonight so don't blink or you'll miss it!" (winks).

Madison Pettis wears a black bikini set & silver gloves. Long black hair in loose curls. Cheryl Cole wears a leopard print bikini set & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Madison is hungry for some jabbing action but her free swinging approach leaves her vulnerable when the experienced Brit counters her over the top and lands several hard licks from both sides. Madison pretends the early hits don't bother her at all but then she bends to the side when the shear volume of Cole's punches overwhelms her indeed. Cheryl cranks up the slugging efforts and pummels the suddenly stunned foe back to the ropes where she adds more leather drilling into Madison's exposed cleavage. It's not quite intentional but it serves its purpose as the American has a hard time embracing the impact and disappears behind a tight earmuff come the final minute allowing Chezza to run riot which she always enjoys the most. Ugh! Guess that lenghty lay-off period had affected Pettis after all?

Round 2:
Cheryl taunts the Texas youngster to show some pride and Madison tries to make her pay slicing through the high-guard in high-octane fashion. She lands several single shots on target and avoids an overhand response this time but the genuine power supply doesn't really throw Cole off her zone and both women settle into a back & forth dispute in the center of the ring. Chezza tries to catch the fellow brunette with some mean combo but Madison keeps her high-guard in tact and only becomes more aggressive later on when she explores the body assault route and bangs a hard series into the singer's ribcage. She barges Cheryl with a stray elbow in the chest and backs her onto the ropes where she lands a quick hooking double on each temple to leave the Geordie veteran fuming at the bell.

Round 3:
Another slugging dispute in the center of the ring allows Cheryl to assume the early control but she just can't smoke Madison out of her comfort zone here and has to work around a rather hectic but otherwise dangerous response as the young Texan cranks up her jabbing efforts. She punishes the singer upstairs where she lands several noteworthy shots on each temple before crashing a right hook on the eye. Cole wobbles to the side and finds no success pushing off her heels as Pettis storms her back to the ropes with a superior delivery. Both women bang away in slugging fashion and knock each other's heads back but it's Cole who gets trapped in the hole and gets shoved against the turnbuckle while Madison hauls in more head shots to slump her into loud spasms at the bell.

Round 4:
Cole is visibly upset as she argues with coach Eva Mendes during the interval and she roars into a full-steam attack early in the fourth. Madison accepts the challenge and believes she can outwork the older woman again but she fails to build upon the initial double and eats a brutal shot on the nose that stuns her into loud yelps upon impact. Meanwhile Cheryl jumps into immediate head-hunting pounce and tears a bloody gash under the American's left eye before stuffing her with another hard punch on the solar plexus. Ugh! Madison bends into even louder shrieks and tries to clinch the Geordie brunette but Cheryl beats her to the line and SLAMS a vicious uppercut on the jaw that SENDS PETTIS CRASHING DOWN ON HER BACK!!! Woof! And it's a bad one for the young actress who stays down on her back during the count and makes no genuine effort to avoid the ineviteable finish. It is over! KO4 Cheryl Cole!!!

BEFORE: "Told ya I can still destroy these young wannabees! She is literally fighting for a stable named like that! Go back to beating blonde creampuffs or something!", Cheryl sounds more than upbeat while talking to Erin Andrews after the official verdict is announced, "I have no fixed schedule this season. I'm gonna accept anyone bold enough to fight me. There is a ton of these youngsters coming through so I'll find suitors alright. See you around next month!" (winks).

Official Result: Cheryl Cole def. Madison Pettis KO4.
