Adrianne Palicki versus Camille Kostek

Bout features a couple of the premier big girls jockeying for position. Camille Kostek of Floydian, ranked 7th in the prestigious Tractorpull top ten poll, and Adrianne Palicki, unranked but the woman who stunned the FCBA earlier this year by taking the title from the seemingly invincible Amanda Righetti. Lots of mutual respect between Cam and Addie - not so the seconds! Gene Lee Nolin in the Sceej corner still smarting over Floydian trainer Nadia Bjorlin taking the welterweight strap from her way back in 2007 - Gena Lee carries a grudge like luggage! Icy stares between those two as referee gives instructions.

Round 1: Palciki in straight upright stance, looking to emphasize height with Kostek in half crouch. Kostek weaving but rebuffed time and again by that long punishing Palicki jab. Bjorlin calling for head movement. Frustrated Camille tries to bull rush big Addie and gets rung up by a right hand lead! Kosten on hinky legs already in the first round! And THAT is why they call her the chin checker! Scrubby McGee calling “Finish, Addie-goil!” but Kostek clinches and holds on for dear life to the bell. Big first round for Palicki,

Round 2: Bjorlin reminding Camille that she’s giving up three inches in height, even more in reach to lanky opponent. Kostek getting low, using head movement, slipping jab now and working hand inside where she can work. Thumping left right left to Adrianne’s chassis. Palciki answers with slacking right that skids off the model's scalp. Camille steady, just putting hands on taller opponent, until Palicki is forced to clinch. Once separated by referee, Palicki able to use jab to maintain distance. Close round but Camille finally getting to body and likely getting the nod.

Round 3: Camille sent out by Bjorlin with one word admonition “Pressure!”. Model out of her corner purposeful, side to side head motion, slipping that long range finder jab. Gets inside and stuns the big girl with short right uppercut to chin … and Palicki is HURT! Former champion with a shimmy in her knees and opportunistic blonde model is right on her! Snatching left hook to the flank and big girl can’t hold canvas - forced back into ropes where she hides behind long arms. Kostek methodical, not losing head, grim smile on face as she just moves the hands, pounding tummy and flanks. When big girl folds forward to try to protect midsection, model twists into a nifty little uppercut that telescopes that long neck. Palicki reaching out with long arms looking to tie up but Camille not having it, wrestles arms loose and pounds away right up to bell. Chests up and has some words for an ashen face Palicki before referee gets between them.

Round 4: Sceej corner chaotic - Scrubby McGee with ice on Adrianne’s neck, Nolin hissing to “get up in her business - like I showed you” (most ringsiders thinking she is calling for low blows!), and Jenny McCarthy shrieking a dozen sometimes unintelligible, often contradictory suggestions! Floydian corner as Bjorlin massaging Kostek neck and calmly calling for “More of the same … she’s wilting … she can’t take another round …”. Out of corners, big Addie looking to dance on toes but legs still not there. Flatfooted, she uses that long jab to hold Kostek off but Bonzo’s gym trains them well - side to side - looking for a gap. “Like a lioness stalking a giraffe!” comments one ringsider. Palicki feigns jab and firs right hand lead, Camille slips the punche and is back in business - all up in Adrianne’s business! Head on chest - hammering rib cage with both hands .. and just like that, Palicki spins her and tags her with right hand! And now it is Camille walking in post holes, eyes slightly glazed. It was not the diamond cutter but she has tasted the vaunted Palicki power and does not like the taste! Buggy whip left to the side has Camille sagging. Bjorlin screaming “CLINCH!!!” from corner and Kostek ties up and hanging on to the Chin Checker as round ends. Abrupt reversal and big round Palicki.

Round 5: Now it’s Kostek getting the ice on the neck,but eyes seem clear, Bjorlin warning her “Watch out for that damned right!”. Grand Wizard ringside draws laughs when he quips, “Like telling the captain of the Titanic to watch out for the damned iceberg!”. Palicki out of corner, left low near hip, right hand cocked, steely eyed, looking to finish. Paws with the jab … goading Kostek to engage … and the blonde model charges .. exchange of rights and Camille lands flush on jaw … and once again the momentum swings! Palicki stumbles back … all wide eyed .. Kostek on her! Left hook grazes jaw. Right hand crashes into temple … AND DOWN GOES PALICKI. Knocked back on her ass … she sits blinking … all “wha’ jus’ happened?”. Kostek throws hands in air as ref guides her to neutral corner and pick up the count … Jenny McCarthy screeching, “Get up, you big dummy!” Palicki on one knee at ‘7’ … up at ‘9’ … referee wips gloves and beckons Kostek on. Kosten at her like a freight train but Palicki with a veteran move … maneuvering behind referee .. frustrated Kostek bull rushes and allows lanky blonde opportunity to clinch. Bjorlin from Bonzo corner screaming for a break but Palicki hanging on like an octopus with those long arms. Ref FINALLY separates girls and Palicki gets a finger wagged in face for failure to follow commands but she’s ridden it out to the end of the round. Draws a glare from Kostek and sneering “See you in sixty seconds!”

Round 6: Bjorlin to Kostek “This ends now? You got it? Now!”. Camille out of corner and the model is bullying the Chin Checker. Spooking her with feigned right ,, making a big deal of drawing line in mid ring with toe and beckoning with gloves … “Come on!” Big girl’s pride pricked and with Scrubby Mcgee yelling from corner for movement, Palciki right at her tormentor. Exchange of overhand rights - Kostek gets the better - but Palicki back with left hook to the temple. Camille with the Cherry Hill Special from the old Bed-Stuy gym - left hook to the body, left hook to the temple and straight right hand - first two land flush … Palicki picks off the right … and KOSTEK IS DOWN! Pitches straight forward onto her face and not moving … ref waives off count and rolls her onto her back to get mouthpiece out … stunned ringsiders looking at Jumbotron for what happened. Grand Wizard turns to Cassie “the Heiress” Scerbo, “Catch that, kid?” Cassie chuckles “Did I catch it? I am damned glad I was NOT on the catching end of that! Freakin’ Hammer of Thor!” Wizard, “The former commissioner hung that name on her - the Chin Checker - and he knew a little bit about this racket - she was just a kid then - big gangly Girl Scout who had no idea of her own strength!” Replay shows lightning fast overhand right crash right on to point of Kostek’s chin! Winner by knockout in the sixth round - Adrianne “The Chin Checker” Palicki.

Post fight: Palicki over to Bonzo corner to check on Kostek - Camille’s come around and brief hug. Jenny Mac up on ring apron crowing “Just like I taught her!”. In ring interview - Palciki “Wow - she’s tough! I mean, I was expecting tough but … wow! Not gonna lie - she had me hurt bad in the fifth. I’m in no hurry to fight her again! Just gonna keep fighting the top contenders and look to get myself back in the top ten and that title picture.”

Kostek: “We had some words in the ring, yeah, but she’s class - no hard feelings. Its tough - you hear about her hitting power so much you start to wonder if it’s all hype? Until you feel it! I mean, that chick put Righetti on her back so the only thing I feel bad about is not finishing her in the fifth like I should have. I’m disappointed but just gonna get back into the gym, work, and get that title shot!”
