Georgia Mae Gibbs vs Jill Wagner

Georgia:
(23, 5’10, 20:8 FCBA, VIXENs)

Jill:
(40, 5’8, 17:18 FCBA, Bazz Fight Club)

BEFORE:
“I had a bad start to the year, but that’s all in the past now,” Gibbs says first from the press table backstage. “Jill’s a legend in her own right, of course, but she’s fallen on the rocks these couple of years, so I’m eager to capitalise on her failures.”

“Cocky, ain’t she?” Jill says next, shooting a smirk towards Gibbs across the table. “Unlike some of your stablemates, Georgia, I don’t get cut simply because I’ve lost a couple of matches. The pressure’s all on Georgia’s shoulders tonight, not mine. I plan on going in there and banging little blondie up a bit, and have fun while doing so.”

Wagner slightly bigger in size but two inches shorter than Georgia when the two fighters come face-to-face at the podium. Gibbs with her dishevelled blonde hair in freefall around her chiselled chin, whereas Jill merely smirks back, both hands planted on her hips as the two women have to be separated between things get physical.

A day later, we’re back in the arena with both fighters making final preparations in their corners. Georgia in a plain white bikini, accentuating her lean figure. She bangs red gloves together as she awaits the referee’s bell. Jill also looks slightly jittery in her own corner, sporting a red bikini top and hot denim short shorts, with a pair of green gloves on either hand. HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Jill disrupts her opponent’s plans for world domination with an early punt to the middle of the face, making Georgia swoon on the spot! Gibbs stunned from the opening bell, not expecting the 40-year-old to hit so damn hard and fast as more follow-up blows are sent her way. Jill making a name for herself by beating back the younger blonde early, as Gibbs is forced to cover up and retreat, arms locked over her head as she struggles to stay alive in the first two minutes of this fight, but then quickly recovers enough to keep her distance and fire back at the face with her long jab. This gives Jill some pause as the taller Gibbs utilises her long reach to keep her foe at bay, a couple of shots to the face spanking throughout the arena as the first bell rings - we don’t think, however, that Gibbs has done enough to stave off disaster this first round.

ROUND 2:
Gibbs has learnt her lesson though, keeping her distance as she relies on her jabs to keep Jill at arm’s reach, with Wagner having trouble landing significant shots like last time. No surprise here as the Vixen finds her rhythm and scores on the arms and body with more and more flurries. Jill finally realises she’s on the losing side, decides to hang back and trade punches with the taller woman, revealing some modest success as Gibbs still ain’t used either to taking damage to her face in turn. The Vixen opts to stay at a greater distance till the final seconds of the round, relying on her game plan to win by a smaller margin than last time.

ROUND 3:
Wagner chooses to wade in and charge the blonde repeatedly, her own game plan to get in and brawl with the leaner woman in order to put Georgia away before the fifth round. Gibbs gets stunned and shocked to the arms in this manner multiple times, bracing for powerful swings to her head but getting choked instead when Wagner aims low and sends blows thumping into her midsection. Gibbs’ mouth hanging open as the wind is pounded out her body but she still manages to hold on for the rest of the round, bent over and gasping for air as she finally circles back out and establishes her defensive parameter. Jill looking smug as she keeps range, knows she’s taken this round for her own corner, but gets wiped off her face when Gibbs LEAPS in and lands a hard straight fist to her face! Ouch!! Jill forgets for a moment that her opponent still has that long reach to her advantage, gets pushed back on the defensive as Gibbs headhunts her for the remainder of the round.

ROUND 4:
Wagner tries to reestablish her dominance as she strides back into the fray, but an early exchange of blows between both girls shows who’s really superior: Georgia grunts as a leather is shoved into her lips, but then smacks a hook hard into Jill’s cheek in return, proving her firepower hurts more as Wagner stumbles to the side, a grimace on her face as she covers up and runs. Gibbs more confident as she comes forward, more short flurries shot out towards Wagner’s head, some of them snapping her head back or sunk into the body… Wagner’s corner looking worried as their girl gets beaten back towards the ropes, not much return fire at all as Jill struggles to stay alive… Gibbs however manages to get in close into the pocket, now firing away on all cylinders as she ROCKS the older woman left and right with hooks to the head, before stacking Wagner up with a blast into the base of her chin… AND DOWN WAGNER GOES!! Her early successes get wiped out as the aging fighter’s floored onto her back, where she remains till the referee’s waving arms above at the count of 10!! It’s over!!

Official Decision: Georgia Mae Gibbs defeats Jill Wagner via KO4!

AFTER:
Gibbs nods with satisfaction as she tosses her blonde locks to the side, then returning to her corner where she receives pats on her back. To Gibbs, this result was a foregone conclusion, paying only minimal interest to what’s happening on the other side of the ring with Wagner.

“She had it coming,” Georgia nods to reporters later backstage. “Jill thought she could hang and bang with someone like me. Well, she was wrong.”

Meanwhile, the Bazz girl’s trying to reassure her team that she’s alright, nodding her head in her corner between sharp breaths of air. Thankfully, she’s left alone, with Gibbs soon leaving the ring with her head held high and forward. Later, when Jill’s recovered enough to form a cogent sentence, her voice is both tired and fraught as she questions her future in the ring:

“Thought I had her early on. She’s a slippery one, that girl. Also kind of a b*tch. She may have won the battle but I feel as though I’ve won the moral high ground.”
