Hannah Ferguson vs Blake Lively (Chimera)

BEFORE:
It’s a rematch of a rematch of sorts, with Hannah Ferguson first making her debut in the FCBA against Lively all those years ago by winning the Queendom qualifier and then going on afterwards to win multiple titles to her name. Lively thereafter seeking her revenge with a AHW match the following year, hooking Ferguson’s leg in the mud to pin her for the three-count.

“A travesty. Everyone knows Lively had help in her corner that day. Doesn’t matter - I’ve beaten her in the ring before, and I plan on doing so again tonight without issue,” Hannah says confidently in her corner.

“A travesty indeed,” Lively responds from the other side of the table. “That you managed to last as long as you did. Let’s not forget, Hannah, that we’ve never fought under regular rules. So you won some smothering contest, so what? I paid you back by pinning your face to the mud. Now, I get to whoop your ass in the ring as well.”

Tense atmosphere as both blondes face off at the center of the press hall, almost equal height and build as they glare at each other’s eyes with both hands firm on their hips. Official promoter standing by the side to intervene at the smallest hint of trouble, but thankfully both women turn and head backstage when instructed to for their final preparations.

Later in the arena, Blake is first to enter, looking fit as a fiddle in her white sports bra top, grey fighting tights, her blonde hair tied neat into a ponytail. For this contest, she’ll be donning red gloves. Hannah’s turn to strut down the ram, treating it like a catwalk, her long legs showing off a toned physique wrapped in dark pink sports bra and three-quarter fighting tights. Tonight, the Vixen is fighting out of the black corner. Referee waves for the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Welterweight action!

ROUND 1:
Blake stuns the former champ with a sudden lunging hand out of nowhere, a right hook cuffing her on the chin just as Hannah got in close but underestimated her competition. The alpha Vixen has been the butt of jokes ever since losing that wrestling match back in 2018 to Lively, now having the chance to fix her mistakes but getting too cocky and letting in the first few punches to her face. Blake definitely has more to prove in this fight as she storms in swinging, landing nice and clean jabs off Hannah’s arms and body as she pushes the Vixen back good and early! Hannah still left in shock as she tries to counter late in the round, looping overhead punches of her own sent towards the head, but her attacks are lacking n venom as Lively covers up strong to block incoming damage, before she returns fire to the face, eliciting more grunts from Hannah’s lips. The round ends and Ferguson looks both stunned and awed, shaking her head on her way back to corner as she wonders how she got manhandled in the very first round.

ROUND 2:
Hannah doubles down, refocusing on her defences as she parries and blocks Lively’s early attacks, doing much better than the previous round in terms of mitigating incoming damage. Lively still going to town on the guard, heavy swings trained for this moment as she slams her gloves into Hannah’s side, occasionally knocking her off balance a couple of steps but not really landing anything significant to net her points. Hannah gets her revenge between the attacks, another wide swing pulled back mid-way before being swung into the side of Blake’s head, which turns on its heels as she takes Hannah’s power first hand. Ferguson continues to batter the body and chest with low thump thump thumps - reminiscent combos of when these two first encountered each other back under JMDD rules. Bell rings and the Vixen is shaking her fist on her way back to corner, a little more confidence in her step as she retakes lost territory from her rival.

ROUND 3:
It’s all about rhythm and momentum, however, as Lively regains her composure and powers through another crosshand to Hannah’s arms early, disrupting Hannah’s own advance on her position. Lively definitely one of the more underrated Welterweights of this division, and going blow-for-blow with the former champion is doing wonders for her reputation as the two women continue to bust each other up with short snaps to the nose and more devastating straight punches to the body in the very first minute. But a third crunching shot to Hannah’s nostrils sends her into a sudden daze, the Vixen barely putting her arms up in time before Lively scores again with a double shove of leather to the lips. Ferguson riled up in there, definitely a rare sight as she’s forced backwards into a defensive pattern, with Lively content to give chase, continuously jabbing at the Vixen’s head to end the round wide.

ROUND 4:
Blake dominates yet another round as Hannah holds back this time, allowing the Chimera girl to wade in with even more aggression. VIX corner racking their brains as to what’s exactly gone wrong with their girl tonight, with Hannah maybe thrown off balance by repeated crosses to the middle of her arms, then having to stumble to the side whenever Lively leaps in and nails her to the side of her head, not giving the Vixen any room to retaliate. Ferguson advised to be a little more strategic, but the cost of her losing yet another round as she fires desperate jabs to deter Blake from charging at her. But the strategy doesn’t work, with Lively pumping her fist in the air when the bell rings, knows she’s gaining ground on her opponent.

ROUND 5:
If this keeps up, who knows? We may just get an upset of the highest proportions tonight. Blake of course would like that very, very much, much needed validation for her own credentials after getting wrecked by the blonde newcomer back in 2016, and then having her revenge by pinning Hannah in the mud two years later but never having really bested her in a fair and square match-up. Until now, of course. An early rocker hits Hannah on the nose again, Lively WADING in to try and finish the blonde off but doesn’t see a return swing comin’ towards her till it’s too late! Hannah takes the initial blow in her stride before lashing out with a SMACK to Blake’s chin, throwing Lively into disarray. Suddenly, it’s Lively who’s wobbling to the side, lookin’ groggy, and all it takes is another step-in swipe across the face to SEND THE CHALLENGER DOWN to her side!! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Hannah Ferguson! And there’s the alpha blonde we’ve been waiting to see!! Fans in the audience are also on their feet as that textbook hook from Ferguson lands hard, Lively thrown down to her chest as she sputters and groans on all fours. Referee starts the count above and Lively, to her credit, is already starting to push herself off the ground, making a valiant attempt back to her feet and into this fight. Hannah still looking smug from her corner as Blake recovers by the count of 8 - just a few more rounds to knock the stuffing out of her opponent and finish her off once and for all, or so she assumes.

ROUND 6:
Hannah regains her confidence as she continues to hound and hammer Blake to the head with those signature hooks. But we don’t think the Vixen’s been tested like this for the longest time, such that she needs to bring out the big guns early. Blake for the most part taking the shots like a champ herself, her head getting wrung this way and that but her arms absorbing most of the damage and she prevents another knockdown attempt. Third minute and Lively’s back in action, using her speed jab sunk into Hannah’s lips as Ferguson can barely react with pain shooting to her scalp, and it’s clear that Hannah’s also tiring out from her constant headhunting. At least the Vixen manages to take back a wide round here - let’s see if she can sustain her momentum though.

ROUND 7:
Hannah is still determined to put those naysayers to rest - perhaps after she blows Blake out of the water, people will stop teasing her about losing to Lively two years ago. She stalks her opponent with little regard for her own safety, arms outstretched as she lunges at Lively’s head over and over. Lively taken aback early by the sudden aggression, but weaves her head backwards and to the side, avoiding on instinct, before she swings back and NAILS the Vixen clean on the face with a return hook! Hannah lets out a pained grunt but somehow keeps on coming, gets socked across the other side of her cheek and suddenly gets wobbled!! Good lord, could Lively actually do this? Chimera girl seizes on her opponent’s helplessness as she steps forward, SINKS another uppercut into the belly before LIFTING Hannah’s head into the air with an uppercut!! UGHH! Ferguson knocked off her feet and down onto her back in a brutal KNOCKDOWN KO! She ain’t moving, folks, as the rest of the 10-count passes her by and Lively scores one of the biggest upsets of the evening!

Official Decision: Blake Lively defeats Hannah Ferguson via UPSET KO7!

AFTER:
A BRUTAL DEFEAT COMES’ A KNOCKIN’ is the headline of the night as Lively does the impossible and puts the former Welterweight champ DOWN in decisive fashion! The actress can’t believe her own handiwork as she hovers over Ferguson’s prone self for a good thirty seconds, a smile only breaking across her face when the referee comes over and raises her hand to the cheering crowds.

Meanwhile, Hannah’s still lying spreadeagled on the canvas, her face turned to the side and eyes squeezed shut, chest beating hard in defeat at the hands of a new rival. Lively striding over after her victory lap, teasing circles around Ferguson’s laid out form before finally planting a foot over the snoozing girl’s chest. Lively posing with her arms flexed high for the cameras, another three-count victory tonight and hopefully the last one in this new rivalry!
