BEFORE:

"Well," says Candice with a smile, "I like to test myself against the best in this division. And, she definitely qualifies. But, this is a test I'm going to pass."

"I'm not a girl who's shy about returning a compliment," says Chloe with a nod. "And, even if I were, I'd have to admit she's one of the best bantams in the world. But. I'm not ONE of the best. I'm THE best. And, that will be the difference."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'All Right Now' by Free, and here comes the star of the CW's 'The Flash', the lovely Candice Patton!"

McCarthy: "And I STILL have no idea how this girl got booked on this card, because she can actually FIGHT."

O'Dell: "No doubt about that, and she's all business on her way to the ring, climbing in to be helped off with the robe and she's got the crowd buzzing as they see her in that orange bikini."

McCarthy: "And, she actually looks pretty good. Not in MY league, of course, but good for someone who ISN'T the Greatest Fighting Playmate of All Time!"

Cassie: "Truck, send some liniment down for Mac's shoulder. I think she dislocated it patting herself on the back."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Scabbo!"

O'Dell: "Aaaaannndddd that song you hear behind us is..."

McCarthy: "HIDEOUS! TERRIBLE! AWFUL!"

Tess: "And, here's the part where I point out that Grace Slick got an INJUNCTION to PREVENT Mac from singing..."

McCarthy: "Just ONE song and SHUT UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys. And, that song is 'Uh Oh", by the woman coming to the ring as we speak, 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet!"

Tess: "And, Bennet might be the one girl at Front Street with some job security these days..."

Cassie: "And, she's EARNED it, no doubt about that."

O'Dell: "Chloe into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve, and she's wearing that blue number we've seen before and looking darn good in it as always. Ladies are about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Chloe. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Patton can fight. I think she'll win."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Here we go and Chloe wasting no time getting after Candice. Patton an excellent boxer as we've seen in the FCBA many times, but Bennet wants to get physical early. She's stepping to, forcing Candice backward, putting punches together early in this fight..."

Tess: "Wiz has said several times that one thing is certain when Front Street's tenth anniversary arrives next February, and that's that Chloe Bennet will still be on this roster..."

O'Dell: "And, you can see why, as she backs up her rival with another combination. Patton trying to fire back in spots, but she's getting preempted. Bennet with that quick forward step, and the punches already flying as she's doing it. She's got Candice on the defensive and she's keeping her there."

Cassie: "What you're seeing is the reason Bennet is 29-4."

O'Dell: "No question it's impressive stuff. Candice landed a solid right hand in that exchange, but she's quickly forced to cover up again. We've got less than ten to go in the first and, when the bell rings, and there it is, there's no question. Bennet and wide to grab the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Bennet right back to pressuring and EATS A HARD RIGHT HAND! Chloe backed up a step by that one and now Candice letting the hands go! Bennet not hurt, but she definitely felt that one, and Patton banging away, forcing the younger brunette backward with blizzard after blizzard of punches."

McCarthy: "Like I SAID, this kid can FIGHT. Weirdo made a mistake bringing her in here..."

O'Dell: "Chloe on the back foot, backed up into the ropes now as Patton lets the hands go again. Bennet tying up, trying to slow the older brunette down, but Candice with ANOTHER sharp combination. This fight has turned on a DIME, because Patton's every bit as dominating in THIS round as Bennet was in the LAST round..."

Tess: "She's definitely found SOMETHING, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "Has, indeed, and she's working it into the final twenty seconds of round two. Chloe's been in reverse since the early stages and hasn't found a way to shift gears. ANOTHER good flurry from Patton and there's the bell. Wow. Quite a turnaround, because that's a shutout for Candice."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Patton continuing to get the better of things early in the third. She's getting punches put together, getting off more quickly than Bennet, keeping Chloe on the defensive. The younger women throwing back in spots now, but it's Candice who's calling the match at the moment..."

McCarthy: "Bennet needs to make an adjustment or two, but, good luck getting any help out of that CORNER of hers."

O'Dell: "Patton on everyone's list of the FCBA's top indie fighters, and the reasons for that on display right now. This is a former bantamweight champion, a girl with wins over people like Danes, Lotz, Chopra, Benoist, Kosarin, Michalka, Bellisario, Robbie, Wilde, Johansson, and VanCamp, and Patton looking every bit her equal right now."

Cassie: "Actually, she's looking BETTER right now. Candice taking the fight to Bennet in a big way."

O'Dell: "She's had the Front Streeter in reverse for nearly two full rounds now, and she's keeping her there as we come down the stretch. Bennet lands a sharp right, but Candice responds with a solid flurry that takes us to the bell. No doubt about it for the third straight round. Patton. Wide."

Tess: "And, Candice leads 29-28"

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Candice right back to work in the fourth, looking to continue fighting lead, but Chloe's not having it now. Bennet firing right back and we've got it going in the middle of the ring! Sharp exchange after sharp exchange and now Bennet backing up Patton with a pair of NASTY right hands!"

Tess: "Candice felt those! Not hurt, but she FELT those!"

O'Dell: "And Bennet following on with ANOTHER hard combination to the head. Now, it's the Front Streeter who has Patton in retreat and she's continuing heavy fire designed to keep her there. Candice on the back foot as Bennet gets into rhythm, punishes her to head and body."

Cassie: "Chloe's getting her squared up right now."

O'Dell: "Definitely is. We're down to the final thirty seconds of the fourth, and Bennet in control of this stanza and she backs Patton up with ANOTHER hard right hand. Candice backed to the ropes now and taking as Bennet ends this thing with a flourish, banging away to the bell. No doubt again. Chloe. Wide."

McCarthy: "Even at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Chloe backing up Candice early in the fifth. Bennet's got it going at the moment, and Patton struggling to find an answer and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND FROM BENNET AND CANDICE IS HURT! Patton stumbles backward into the ropes and Chloe's ALL IN!"

Tess: "This is BAD NEWS for Patton..."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it, because Chloe's training the heavy guns on her and letting the shell fly. Candice with the guard high taking a TON of fire. She's rolling with, blocking, jabbing back here and there, doing enough to keep the referee from stopping this thing..."

McCarthy: "He's on high alert, though. She has to keep fighting..."

O'Dell: "Bennet piling up the points and hurt as we head down the stretch. Patton takes a BIG right hand that sent sweat flying. Chloe digging some body now, and Candice ties her up. Chloe punching free, but there's the bell. Candice survives this thing, but Chloe pitches a shutout."

Cassie: "And, Bennet's got the lead 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Bennet looking to finish as we start the sixth. Patton still looking a bit buzzed and Chloe knows it. Younger brunette lining her rival up and letting her have it with both hands. Candice clinching, Chloe WHACKING some body and then shoving off before going right back to work upstairs..."

Tess: "Patton needs some time here, but Bennet not giving it to her."

O'Dell: "She is NOT. Instead, Chloe like a buzz saw, all over the older woman, thumping away with both hands. Candice staying off the ropes, firing back in spots, clinching when she can, looking to run some clock and GOING DOWN! DOWN GOES PATTON!"

Cassie: "Right hook!"

O'Dell: "A BLISTERING right hook by Bennet and Patton is down on her right side. Chloe quickly to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Candice rolls to her belly and pushes to hands and knees at six. Seven. Eight. Candice not going to make it! Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is 'The Next Big Thing', Chloe Bennet!"

McCarthy: "Ahh. She got LUCKY!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Chloe Bennet, and, Chloe, you've been in tough a lot..."

Chloe: "And, I was in tough TONIGHT. This girl is, no doubt, a top-shelf bantamweight. She's a match for anyone in the division. Had to work hard. But, I got her."

Tess: "A lot of times in these interviews, I ask girls what's next, what their plans are, but I think I know the answer..."

Chloe (smiling): "If it involves getting those belts back, you absolutely do."
